So much for these games don’t matter as a brawl broke out during the World Baseball Classic between Canada and Mexico. Hardly two teams one would think would get into a bench clearing brawl, but the game got a bit chippy. There is nothing like a bunt single in the 9th inning when you are up by 6 to get the Latin American blood boiling. The result, a subsequent throwing at a batter and a bench clearing melee. How many GM’s and MLB owners must have had their hearts in their mouth when they saw this happened fearing an injury of one of their key players or superstars. If more of this happens, look for MLB to restrict players from taking part in the World Baseball Classic.

The seven ejected players … Team Mexico’s Arnold Leon, Oliver Perez, Eduardo Arredondo, Andrew Albers and Alfredo Aceves and Canada’s Pete Orr, Rene Tosoni and Jay Johnson. The players will not face discipline beyond the ejections, according to a statement released by the World Baseball Classic, Inc.

In a chippy game that had previously involved a late takeout slide and a collision at home plate, Canadian Chris Robinson bunted to lead off the ninth inning with Canada holding a 9-3 lead. Mexico pitcher Arnold Leon responded by throwing at Rene Tosoni and missing as both teams were warned by the umpire. Then, Leon hit Tosoni on the next pitch and the benches emptied.

Red Sox pitcher Alfredo Aceves was heavily involved in the fray, seen wrestling with Tyson Gillies and appearing to suffer a blow to the head. Aceves’ Red Sox teammates were reported to have cheered at the sight of their pitcher fighting.

OMG, a 9 year old girl gives birth to a baby girl. Alternate title: Baby girl gives birth to baby girl. The girl gave birth in western Mexico in  the city of Guadalajara. According to reports, the father is the 9 year old’s 17 year old boyfriend. Authorities say that if  the teenage father’s paternity is proven he could face child sex abuse charges. COULD!!! A 9 year old is having a baby by a 17 year old and charges might be pending. UNREAL. HOW DOES A 9 YEAR OLD GIVE CONCENT TO ANYTHING!!!

Mexican authorities say a 9-year-old girl has given birth in western Mexico and they are looking for the purported father, a 17-year-old.

Jalisco state police spokesman Lino Gonzalez says the baby girl was born last week at a hospital in the city of Guadalajara. He says the girl and her baby are doing well.

Gonzalez said Wednesday that the girl’s family alerted authorities after she gave birth and the alleged father has not been seen since in the neighborhood the both live in. He says that if the teenager’s paternity is proven he could face child sex abuse charges.

Is California still a part of the United States of America?

So now its racists to chant “USA” in the United States? America, you best pay attention because you are losing your country. Students at Camarillo High School in California school were told to stop chanting “USA … USA … USA” and to take off their American flag bandanas during a basketball game. Although their punishment has since been rescinded, school administrators said “the incident is far from over.” School officials are going to investigate as to whether the “USA” chant was racially motivated and had racist overtones. Yup, that’s what this country has come to. Let’s go after the students for hate crimes for chanting “USA”. Does anyone really think that if kids whore Mexican flag clothing or chanted “Mexico” that this would have even been an issue. Instead, we have school officials that are worried whether some one was offended. For the Love of God … everyone is offended about something!

Four California high-school students were reportedly suspended for chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!” and wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game. While their punishment has since been rescinded, school administrators said “the incident is far from over.”

Oxnard Union School District superintendent Gabe Soumakian told Fox News Radio that “we need to pursue this further” and “work with teachers and students and the community about the concept of cultural proficiency.” Soumakian and Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman felt that the students’ actions might have had racist undertones since the schools have large Hispanic student populations.

POWERLINE asks an important question that needs to be answered … “Are Hispanic-Americans offended by chants of USA?” Just curious, have these folks actually taken the “oath of allegiance to the USA, see below.

But wait! What reason is there to suppose that Hispanics take offense at shows of American patriotism? Do they harbor hostility towards the United States? I wouldn’t have thought so, but then I’m not on the ground in Oxnard, California.

I hope Soumakian and his crew get to the bottom of this quickly. I wouldn’t want Congress to provide a path to citizenship for millions of illegal Hispanic immigrants if they, and maybe even some of their legal counterparts, can be presumed offended by standard expressions of American patriotism.

Ex-Marine Jon Hammar Released from Mexico Prison and Back in the USA

Former US Marine Jon Hammar has finally been released from a Mexican prison after spending four months being held on trumped up charges. A defense lawyer said Mexican authorities determined there was no intent to commit a crime. Gee, ya think? Thanks to some in the media, like Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, for making this disgraceful and shameful false imprisonment front and center to guilting Obama, the State Department and Mexico to release Jon Hammer. Isn’t it amazing how Mexican authorities arrest individuals who do not even really commit a crime, yet the US just looks the other way when it comes to Mexicans who illegally enter the US, gun or no gun.

The ordeal for Jon Hammar Jr., who languished under deplorable conditions in a violent Mexican prison for four months, is finally over.

Jon Hammar Sr. has confirmed that his 27-year-old son, a Marine combat veteran, is back on U.S. soil and with him in a rented car in Brownsville, Texas.

Hammar Sr. said his son was released from the notorious CEDES prison at 8 p.m. local time and made it back across the bridge between Matamoros, Mexico and Brownsville, Texas by around 8:30 p.m.

Thank God he is home.

US Representative Duncan Hunter (CA-R) stated that Americans should boycott Mexico until they release former Marine Jon Hammar from prison. Hammar is being held in a Mexican prison, handcuffed to his bed (Pic), on trumped up charges that he brought a gun into the country, even though he had registered it prior to entry. Hammar, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, has been jailed in Mexico for more than four months for the alleged crime was carrying an antique firearm that belonged to his grandfather into the country. WTF. Hammar faces up to 15 years in prison if he’s convicted on the gun charges. Where is the US State Department? Where is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton? Where is President Barack Obama? When the White House was asked about this well publicized story, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney had a surprising answer: “I don’t know the facts myself on that.”

Rep. Duncan Hunter, a California Republican and Marine combat veteran, called on Americans Thursday to boycott Mexico until that nation releases Jon Hammar, a former U.S. marine, from prison.

Mr. Hunter also said he is prepared to go to Mexico personally to demand Mr. Hammar’s release.

Mexican authorities are holding Mr. Hammer on weapons charges after he carried his grandfather’s antique shotgun across the border into Mexico in August.
