President Barack Hussein Obama Regime Considers Handing Over Taliban GITMO Detainees to Afghanistan
Putting the “Hussein” in Barack Hussein Obama …
President Barack Hussein Obama’s regime in cutting a peace deal with the Taliban . contemplates handing over Taliban GITMO detains to Afghanistan… So the Obama regime is considering sending Taliban terrorists to Afghanistan to a prison that will soon he taken over by the Afghan government this September. Good grief, how else is this President and his minions going to insult America? Promoting peace with the Taliban, are you frigging serious!!!
The Obama administration is considering a new gambit to restart peace talks with the Taliban in Afghanistan that would send several Taliban detainees from the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to a prison in Afghanistan, U.S. and Afghan officials told The Associated Press.
Under the proposal, some Taliban fighters or affiliates captured in the early days of the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and later sent to Guantanamo under the label of enemy combatants would be transferred out of full U.S. control but not released. It’s a leap of faith on the U.S. side that the men will not become threats to U.S. forces once back on Afghan soil. But it is meant to show more moderate elements of the Taliban insurgency that the U.S. is still interested in cutting a deal for peace. [...]
The Taliban have always been indifferent at best to negotiations with the Karzai government, saying the U.S. holds effective control in Afghanistan. The Obama administration has set a 2014 deadline to withdraw forces and is trying to frame talks among the Afghans beforehand.
Under the new proposal, Guantanamo prisoners would go to a detention facility adjacent to Bagram air field, the largest U.S. military base in Afghanistan, officials of both governments said. The prison is inside the security perimeter established by the U.S. military, and is effectively under U.S. control for now. It is scheduled for transfer to full Afghan control in September.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta would have to sign off on the transfer and certify that the men did not pose a danger. He would not confirm details of the new proposal at a Pentagon news conference Friday, but he said discussions continue to try to promote a peace deal.

American’s Disagree With Obama Administration State Department … The War on Terror is Not Over
Last week the remarkable comments came from a senior member of the Barack Obama State Department stating, “the War on Terror is over”. The comment left most Americans scratching their collective heads wondering how someone in the State Department could have such an out of touch opinion when it comes to the war on terror.
However, the American people by an overwhelming majority reject the notion that the war on terror against radical Islam is over. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 79% of Americans believe that tjhe war on terror IS NOT OVER! There are only a delusional and misguided 11% who think that it is.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 11% of Likely U.S. Voters think the war on terror is over. Seventy-nine percent (79%) say that war, declared after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America, is not over. Another 11% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
So how could anyone in the Obama State Department think that the war on terror is over? Maybe its the same folks who wanted to change the term “global war on terror” to “Overseas Contingency Operation”.
There is a saying that we are supposed to learn from history, otherwise we are destined to repeat it. As stated at The Foundry, the worst thing that the United States could ever do is develop a mentality of complacency when it comes to the war on terror. We ask that important post 9-11 question, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN?
The worst thing the United States could do now is adopt an air of complacency. Combating the continued threat of terrorism requires not only continued reliance on existing counterterrorism and intelligence tools, such as the PATRIOT Act, but also enhancing cooperation among federal, state, and local authorities, as well as mutual trust and partnerships with Muslim communities throughout the United States.
The fact that the U.S. has not seen a large-scale successful attack since 9/11 truly points to the success of our counterterrorism systems. Future success, however, requires that the nation continue to remain vigilant.

Kidnapped British Doctor Khalil Rasjed Dale Found Beheaded in Pakistan by Taliban
The beheaded body of British aid worker Khalil Rasjed Dale was found dumped along a road side in the southern Baluchistan province of Pakistan. A note was discovered with the corpse stating that the Red Cross (ICRC) aid worker had been killed because a ransom had not been paid, courtesy of the Taliban.
The beheaded corpse of a British aid worker has been discovered in the Pakistani city of Quetta almost four months after he was kidnapped.
The body of Khalil Rasjed Dale was discovered on a road outside the city in southern Baluchistan province with a note saying he had been killed because a ransom had not been paid.
Dale, who had been working for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), was kidnapped in January while driving near the organisation’s Quetta office.

Pakistan Taliban Leader Hakimullah Mehsud Reportedly Killed in US Drone Strike … Taliban Denies
So was he or wasn’t he?
It is being reported that Pakistan Taliban Leader Hakimullah Mehsud was killed on January 12, 2012 in the North Waziristan tribal area by a US drone strike. Militant radio communications were intercepted indicating that the Taliban leader was recently killed. However, Pakistani Taliban spokesman Asimullah Mehsud denied the Taliban leader was killed.
Intercepted militant radio communications indicate the leader of the Pakistani Taliban may have been killed in a recent U.S. drone strike, Pakistani intelligence officials said Sunday. A Taliban official denied that.
The report coincided with sectarian violence — a bomb blast in eastern Pakistan that killed 14 people in a Shiite religious procession.
The claim that the Pakistani Taliban chief was killed came from officials who said they intercepted a number of Taliban radio conversations. In about a half a dozen intercepts, the militants discussed whether their chief, Hakimullah Mehsud, was killed on Jan. 12 in the North Waziristan tribal area. Some militants confirmed Mehsud was dead, and one criticized others for talking about the issue over the radio.
I wonder if this Taliban leader was one of Joe Biden’s Taliban that was not our enemy, per se?
Barack Obama Agrees To Release Taliban Leaders From Gitmo In Exchange For Taliban Opening Office In Qatar for Peace Negotiations
How many American and NATO military heroes died so that Barack Obama could release Taliban leaders from GITMO? Try and explain your way out of this one Obama. So Obama thinks he can negotiate peace talks with terrorists. How naive and dangerous could one individual be? Yet one more item to discuss in the 2012 Presidential election … Obama’s misguided foreign policy.
More from the Barack Obama administration that believe that the Taliban is “not the enemy” of the United States. Unbelievable, Barack Obama to release Taliban terrorist leaders from GITMO. Are you serious, Obama actually does believe that the Taliban are not our enemy. Commander in Chief, eh?
The US has agreed in principle to release high-ranking Taliban officials from Guantánamo Bay in return for the Afghan insurgents’ agreement to open a political office for peace negotiations in Qatar, the Guardian has learned.
According to sources familiar with the talks in the US and in Afghanistan, the handful of Taliban figures will include Mullah Khair Khowa, a former interior minister, and Noorullah Noori, a former governor in northern Afghanistan.
More controversially, the Taliban are demanding the release of the former army commander Mullah Fazl Akhund. Washington is reported to be considering formally handing him over to the custody of another country, possibly Qatar.
What Weasel Zippers said … JAW HITTING FLOOR.
The Gateway Pundit reminds us of those peaceful Taliban and friends of the United States …
On Wednesday December 28 the Taliban blew up 3 NATO soldiers in Afghanistan.
On Thursday December 29 the Taliban blew up 10 Afghan soldiers with a roadside bomb
