President Barack Hussein Obama’s regime in cutting a peace deal with the Taliban . contemplates handing over Taliban GITMO detains to Afghanistan… So the Obama regime is considering sending Taliban terrorists to Afghanistan to a prison that will soon he taken over by the Afghan government this September. Good grief, how else is this President and his minions going to insult America? Promoting peace with the Taliban, are you frigging serious!!!
The Obama administration is considering a new gambit to restart peace talks with the Taliban in Afghanistan that would send several Taliban detainees from the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to a prison in Afghanistan, U.S. and Afghan officials told The Associated Press.
Under the proposal, some Taliban fighters or affiliates captured in the early days of the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and later sent to Guantanamo under the label of enemy combatants would be transferred out of full U.S. control but not released. It’s a leap of faith on the U.S. side that the men will not become threats to U.S. forces once back on Afghan soil. But it is meant to show more moderate elements of the Taliban insurgency that the U.S. is still interested in cutting a deal for peace. [...]
The Taliban have always been indifferent at best to negotiations with the Karzai government, saying the U.S. holds effective control in Afghanistan. The Obama administration has set a 2014 deadline to withdraw forces and is trying to frame talks among the Afghans beforehand.
Under the new proposal, Guantanamo prisoners would go to a detention facility adjacent to Bagram air field, the largest U.S. military base in Afghanistan, officials of both governments said. The prison is inside the security perimeter established by the U.S. military, and is effectively under U.S. control for now. It is scheduled for transfer to full Afghan control in September.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta would have to sign off on the transfer and certify that the men did not pose a danger. He would not confirm details of the new proposal at a Pentagon news conference Friday, but he said discussions continue to try to promote a peace deal.

My BFF of over 60 years has a daughter stationed in Afghanistan on a medical base. She writes that they are shelled everyday,all day,except Friday because it’s a “holy day”. Also writes it is really,really bad there. Guess what I’m trying to say is zippy doesn’t care if our troops are in peril. Have a package ready to send off to her today. Amy is a Captain and is a physical therapist.
This is just more muslim crap from our “muslim in chief”. It has already been proven that a majority of those released over the years have returned to the battlefields and some have been recaptured.
The entire area of muslim dominance is all about fighting to make their cult (not a religion) the dominante one in the world. This will not stop until those that are not muslims do what it takes to eleminat this threat from the world.

Army officials released the name of the officer fatally shot by a soldier under his command at Fort Bragg Thursday, and said he was a highly-decorated veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The superior officer killed has been identified as Lt. Col. Roy L. Tisdale, a Bronze Star Medal recipient and commander of the 525th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade. ….

APPEASING THE ENEMY
When the loss of American lives in Afghanistan in the past ten years are considered … when the billions in American funds in support of the conflict are considered … General Fuller had every right to be enraged with the position of President Karzai. NATO should have been enraged with the position of President Karzai. The firing of General Fuller was an outright betrayal in the name of appeasement. Americans should have taken to the streets in peaceful protest. IMO

U.S. General Fired for Verbal Attack on Afghan Leader

A top U.S. general in Afghanistan was fired Friday for making disparaging remarks about Afghan President Hamid Karzai and his government.
Fuller reacted angrily to claims from Karzai that Afghanistan would side with Pakistan if it were to go to war with the United States.
Fuller called Karzai’s statements “erratic,” adding, “Why don’t you just poke me in the eye with a needle! You’ve got to be kidding me … I’m sorry, we just gave you $11.6 billion and now you’re telling me, ‘I don’t really care’?”
