Terrorism in the UK: Al-Qaeda Terror Suspect Caught at Olympic Park in London
Just a couple weeks before the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and another terrorist arrest …
An al-Qaeda terrorist, believed to be a suicide bomber, has been detained after caught crossing through the Olympic Park and breaching security five times in one day in London. The man, who is of Somali origin and known only as CF is also suspected of fighting for the Al Qaeda group al-Shabaab.
This coming on the foot-heals of six people arrested, including White Muslim convert Richard Dart arrested last week. Previously, two Muslim converts were arrested in East London yesterday on suspicion of plotting an attack against the London Olympic canoeing venue.
The alleged al-Qaeda militant was caught crossing through the Olympic Park five times, breaking a ban imposed by the Home Secretary, The Sunday Telegraph has learned.
The 24 year-old has previously tried to get to Afghanistan, allegedly for terrorist training, and is suspected of fighting for the Somali Islamist group al Shabaab, which has been responsible for thousands of deaths, including those of Western aid workers. He is accused of trying to recruit other Britons to its cause.
A Home Office lawyer warned after his discovery in the Olympic area that the man – known as CF – wanted to “re-engage in terrorism-related activities, either in the UK or Somalia” and is “determined to continue to adhere to his Islamist extremist agenda”.
His detention is the most serious security alert yet to hit the Olympic Park.
One really has to wonder what al-Qaeda has in store for the Summer Olympics in London? Is this all just a ruse to make people nervous, was this individual performing reconnaissance mission for a potential terror attack? Will we have a peaceful games where the only stories will be what the athletes do on the track, in the pool and the gym or could this become a “bloody mess”?

Beyond Disrespectful … Students From Junior High School 292 in East New York Brooklyn Throw Trash in 9-11 Memorial … Students Booted from Ground Hero
You have got top be kidding … It would appear that “They have Forgotten” or never told.
A group of 7th graders from Junior High School 292 in East New York, Brooklyn on a field trip were booted from the 9-11 Memorial after they used the reflective pools as a garbage can throwing plastic soda battles and trash in them. WHAT!!! Who in the hell does this at Ground Hero? How in the hell are a ground of NYC school students so uninformed as to the sanctity of this hallowed ground that saw nearly 3000 innocent people lose their lives at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists? Of all things, kids from the NYC area. One would think if any group of kids were told about September 11, it would be children from NYC? Then again, I guess it depends on what the public school teaches them.

A group of students from Brooklyn were forced to leave the Sept. 11 memorial after throwing garbage into its reflecting pools, according to a published report.
The students from Junior High School 292 in East New York were visiting the site on a class trip Thursday when witnesses said they threw baseballs, empty plastic soda bottles and other trash into the water, reports the Daily News.
A note to the disrespectful students who would desecrate such a hallowed Memorial where so many brave men. women and children died the day the Towers fell … take a good look what you disrespected.
The Tower falls
Just curios, what are the schools in New York City actually teaching children with regards to September 11, 2001 when the US was attacked by Muslim terrorists? Obviously, it would appear nothing. Were these kids not told ahead of time what the 9-11 Memorial was and its purpose? Or did they think it was just a boring waste of time? Also, where were the teachers and chaperones? It is obvious that this school has failed its students and should be ashamed of their conduct and their own lack of education. It’s obvious that they have forgotten.
HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN?
More from MyFoxNY:
Visitors, New Yorkers, and 9/11 family members Fox 5 spoke to were saddened and perplexed.
Anthoula Kastinatides lost her brother on 9/11. She says she would have pulled the children aside if she had been there at the time.
“These kids just need to be educated about what happened there.”
The students were thrown out of the hallowed site after reportedly throwing everything from baseballs to plastic soda bottles in the memorial that sites on the footprints of the former World Trade Center twin towers.
It did not end there. The NYPD said one junior high student was caught trying to bring ammunition through the metal detector at the entrance to the memorial site.
New York Public Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott says the matter is under investigation.

CIA Drone Strike Kills Al Qaeda’s #2 Abu Yahya al-Libi in Pakistan
Al Qaeda Deputy Leader Abu Yahya al-Libiwon’t be down for breakfast …
A CIA drone strike in Pakistan has taken out yet another top Al Qaeda terrorist. Al Qaeda’s deputy leader Abu Yahya al-Libi was killed and has dealt yet another blow to the bad guys. Thankfully Obama inherited the CIA drone program from the Bush Administration.
A Central Intelligence Agency drone strike in Pakistan’s tribal belt killed Al Qaeda’s deputy leader, Abu Yahya al-Libi, American officials said on Tuesday, dealing another blow to the group in a lawless area that has long been considered the global headquarters of international terrorism but the importance of which may now be slipping.
Mr. Libi’s death would be another dramatic moment for an American covert war in Pakistan that has been particularly active over the past year, starting with the death of the group’s founder, Osama bin Laden, in May 2011 and followed up by drone strikes against several senior lieutenants, including Atiyah Abd al-Rahman.
NRO brings up an interesting point, “This comes on the tail of concerns about the efficacy of the U.S.’s intense campaign of drone strikes. No one doubts that drones are putting plenty of warheads on foreheads, but questions have arisen about whether the civilian casualties and loss of U.S. reputation ..” How often has anyone really heard the MSM questioning the drone attacks or the collateral damage of civilians killed? Almost never. However, that was hardly the case under George W. Bush and even criticism from then Senator Barack Obama. Imagine was GWB could have done without the constant harping from Obama, Democrats and the MSM questioning every drone strike.

LEADERSHIP: Former AG Mukasey Says … Obama Officials Drafted Memo to Blame Military If Bin Laden Mission Failed
Barack Obama, Commander in Chief, hardly. These are the actions of a “Campaigner” in Chief and one who always looks for a photo-op, takes credit for others actions and speaks to others a “I”.
The following is sure to make you ill; however, displays perfectly what leadership means to President Barack Obama. Not only does a hero not brag, they never try blame others for their decisions either. Barack Obama is a complete and total disgrace. The idea that he would politicize the brave actions of United States military heroes is as Uu-Presidential as it gets.
According to former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, the Obama Administration drafted a memo to protect the president from blame if the mission to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden failed. Does this really surprise anyone who knows anything regarding President Obama, who has no comprehension of the term leadership?
That was a highly lawyered memo (designed to protect the president politically)… I think there’s going to be more that’s going to be tumbling out about that escapade but so far that memo is enough.“
President Barack Obama was so quick to spike the football and take full credit for the killing of OBL in complete President “I” style; however, if anything went wrong, Obama was prepared to through the military under the bus and have them take the blame.
From the Wall Street Journal comes the following
Consider the events surrounding the operation. A recently disclosed memorandum from then-CIA Director Leon Panetta shows that the president’s celebrated derring-do in authorizing the operation included a responsibility-escape clause: “The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out.”
Which is to say, if the mission went wrong, the fault would be Adm. McRaven’s, not the president’s. Moreover, the president does not seem to have addressed at all the possibility of seizing material with intelligence value—which may explain his disclosure immediately following the event not only that bin Laden was killed, but also that a valuable trove of intelligence had been seized, including even the location of al Qaeda safe-houses. That disclosure infuriated the intelligence community because it squandered the opportunity to exploit the intelligence that was the subject of the boast.
A fall back plan? Unreal, yet not unexpected from the likes of Barack Obama. Because nothing is ever this guys fault. Had something tragically gone wrong, his first thoughts would not have been for the lives and families of the US Navy Seals, it would have been for his political career and polls. As stated at Fire Andrea Mitchell, it seems that this revelation might just be the tip of the iceberg. How amazing would it be if Obama’s ‘spiking of the Bin Laden football” turns out to be his complete undoing? Irony can be cruel. Obama was so quick to show leadership, it’s most likely that was never the case.

American’s Disagree With Obama Administration State Department … The War on Terror is Not Over
Last week the remarkable comments came from a senior member of the Barack Obama State Department stating, “the War on Terror is over”. The comment left most Americans scratching their collective heads wondering how someone in the State Department could have such an out of touch opinion when it comes to the war on terror.
However, the American people by an overwhelming majority reject the notion that the war on terror against radical Islam is over. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 79% of Americans believe that tjhe war on terror IS NOT OVER! There are only a delusional and misguided 11% who think that it is.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 11% of Likely U.S. Voters think the war on terror is over. Seventy-nine percent (79%) say that war, declared after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America, is not over. Another 11% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
So how could anyone in the Obama State Department think that the war on terror is over? Maybe its the same folks who wanted to change the term “global war on terror” to “Overseas Contingency Operation”.
There is a saying that we are supposed to learn from history, otherwise we are destined to repeat it. As stated at The Foundry, the worst thing that the United States could ever do is develop a mentality of complacency when it comes to the war on terror. We ask that important post 9-11 question, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN?
The worst thing the United States could do now is adopt an air of complacency. Combating the continued threat of terrorism requires not only continued reliance on existing counterterrorism and intelligence tools, such as the PATRIOT Act, but also enhancing cooperation among federal, state, and local authorities, as well as mutual trust and partnerships with Muslim communities throughout the United States.
The fact that the U.S. has not seen a large-scale successful attack since 9/11 truly points to the success of our counterterrorism systems. Future success, however, requires that the nation continue to remain vigilant.
