In Fact ‘Shiloh Brew and Chew’ is a family restaurant in Maryville, Tennessee where the “Brew” stands for their coffee and the “Chew” for their food menu from burgers to steak to pizza and the owner, Sharma Floyd, believes in the Second Amendment with a sign posted outside that says,  ”Guns are Welcome on Premises”. The owner of this Eastern Tennessee eatery put up the sign after she read an article about a store in North Carolina that put up a sign that said no weapons allowed and was robbed two days later.  Sharma says that the patrons response has been far more positive than the lone negative one.

9th Circuit Court Says the Second Amendment Protects the Right to Carry a Gun in California

So holds today’s Peruta v. County of San Diego (9th Cir. Feb. 13, 2014) (2-1 vote).

The court concludes that California’s broad limits on both open and concealed carry of loaded guns — with no “shall-issue” licensing regime that assures law-abiding adults of a right to get licenses, but only a “good cause” regime under which no license need be given — “impermissibly infringe  on the Second Amendment right to bear arms in lawful self-defense.”

This comes as quite a welcome surprise as the 9th Circuit Court is hardly considered conservative leaning in its rulings.

As the NRO opines, in other words the decision states that, one has the right to carry a gun. The state can elect to recognize this by permitting either “shall-issue” concealed-carry or “shall-issue” open carry, but it cannot restrict or prohibit both.

Uber Lib Comedian Bill Maher Makes Mass Shooting Gun Joke at Country Music Awards in an Attempt at Humor

Just curious, who said that Bill Maher was funny?

As reported at the Politico, so-called liberal funny man Bill Maher said during his HBO program, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” that a mass shooting should take place at the Country Music Awards in response to the mass gay weddings performed at the recent Grammy Awards. Wow really, that was so funny I forgot to laugh. What is up with liberals fascination with violence, murder and death? What makes them so miserable, when it comes to a US Constitution, Bill of Rights Amendment that gives American’s the right to bear Arms? These are people who would rather have an unarmed people not be able to defend themselves and be at the mercy of thugs, punks and a criminal class.

Taking a swipe at conservatives on gun control, liberal comic Bill Maher joked that a mass shooting should take place at the Country Music Awards.

“Now that liberals have forwarded their agenda by inserting a mass gay wedding into the Grammys, conservatives must match them tit-for-tat by having a mass shooting at the Country Music Awards,” Maher said Friday during his HBO program, “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Maher’s joke follows the mass weddings performed during the Grammys this past Sunday, in which both same-sex and heterosexual couples were married. Conducted as musician Macklemore and Ryan Lewis sang “Same Love,” it was widely viewed as a call for marriage equality.

Tennessee, where the CMA show is held, has very liberal (in the best sense of the word) gun laws and a permit to carry a concealed handgun is relatively easy to get for law-abiding citizens. I don’t know if the venue where the awards are held — the Bridgestone Arena — has a posted ban on carrying firearms, but even if they do you can bet the bodyguards of country music stars suffer from no such restrictions.

In short, Bill Maher’s sick joke was not only idiotic, it displayed his towering ignorance of guns and the gun culture, as well as an inability to recognize the efficacy of intelligent gun laws.

2013 Guns Sales Set New Record As Barack Obama and Democrats Attempts on Gun Grabs

Town Hall is reporting a record number of gun sales in 2013.

So much for Barack Obama and Democrats efforts to enact gun control and to diminish the Second Amendment. Democrats efforts for gun control have backfired because common sense Americans see what their agenda is all about and it is not safety or getting guns out of the hands of criminals, it’s gun control of law abiding citizens. When will Democrats understand that there is actually an Amendment that protects the right to bear Arms, not one for a right to bear Obamacare?

The FBI has released new statistics on NICS background checks showing 2013 gun sales hit a new record. The total number of background checks conducted for gun sales last year add up to 21,093,273, beating the previous 2012 record of 19,592,303 by 1,500,970. Texas conducted the most background checks with 1,633,278. Kentucky came is second with 1,578,331 background checks conducted.

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation and NBC news, women are the fastest growing demographic of gun owners.
