Mitch McConnell said what most Americans have thought during the Obama presidency. McConnell stated, “For four years, Barack Obama has been running from the nation’s problems. He hasn’t been working to earn reelection. He’s been working to earn a spot on the PGA tour”. After over 100+ rounds of golf and no clue how to fix the economy or help create an environment that is convulsive to job growth … but he can certainly play golf.

The Senate minority leader delivered a scathing speech Wednesday hitting the president for failing to solve the country’s problems.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) delivered a scathing speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, saying that President Obama has spent more time on his golf game than solving the country’s problems.

“For four years, Barack Obama has been running from the nation’s problems. He hasn’t been working to earn reelection. He’s been working to earn a spot on the PGA tour,” McConnell said.

America cannot take another “FORE” years of a President who has acted so small in the face of such huge issues. America needs a leader, not a community organizer.

What is the real reason why Romney’s rate is as low as it is … charitable contributions. What a terrible thing to do Barack. Maybe you and Biden might want to explain why you two do not give more?

How pathetic that this President would go back on his words from just a year ago. Barack Obama said that it would be irresponsible for any take hike to occur during a recession. So Obama thinks that it is so much better today after receiving the anemic jobs numbers from this past Friday of 80,000 jobs created? Also, he is extending it for one year, just to pander for votes in the upcoming 2012 election? So in other words, elect Barack Obama and there is nothing to stand in his way for him to raise taxes on all Americans as many Democrats want to. If he is so behind this cause, why didn’t he extend them for 5, 10, 15 years? Obama continues to play politics and cause uncertainty.

Mr. Obama has long supported a permanent extension of Bush-era tax cuts for families earning less than $250,000, and has called for those aiding wealthier families to expire. But Monday’s event marks the first time Mr. Obama will specifically call for a one-year extension for the lower earning group, a nod toward the desire to do something in the short run to create more certainty in an uncertain economic climate.

How come when Obama’s top adviser has a misspeak on TV from the view point of the President, it is just ignored? Romney went on to say that the American people know it is a tax and know that Barack Obama broke a campaign promise. Did the Romney adviser make a gaffe and get tongue tied when he was trying to discuss whether Obamacare was a tax or a penalty, of course he did. However, I think I will go by what the candidate actually says, rather than a surrogate. That is how the MSM treats Obama.

Mitt Romney said the federal health care reform mandate constitutes a “tax” Wednesday, contradicting the way a senior adviser to his campaign characterized his position earlier this week.

But the similar individual mandate and fee he signed into law when governor of Massachusetts is not a tax, he said in a separate interview, citing the Supreme Court’s decision last Thursday.

Of the federal law, Romney told CNN’s Dana Bash and Shawna Shepherd, “Supreme Court is the final word, right? The highest court in the land? They said it’s a tax didn’t they?”

“So it’s a tax, of course, if that’s what they say it is,” he continued.

“The Supreme Court has spoken, and while I agreed with the dissent, that’s taken over by the fact that the majority of the court said it’s a tax, and therefore it is a tax. They have spoken. There’s no way around that,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee told Crawford in an exclusive interview, referring to the court’s 5-4 ruling that largely upheld the president’s signature health care law, with the individual mandate as a tax.

“I said that I agreed with the dissent, and the dissent made it very clear that they felt it was unconstitutional,” Romney continued. “But the dissent lost – it’s in the minority.”

“You can try and say you wish [the court] had decided a different way, but they didn’t,” Romney said. “They concluded it was a tax; that’s what it is. And the American people know that President Obama has broken the pledge he made. He said he wouldn’t raise taxes on middle-income Americans, and not only did he raise the $500 billion that was already in the bill, it’s now clear that his mandate, as described by the Supreme Court, is a tax.”
