Kansas City Soccer Fans Turns a National Anthem Foul Up into an Amazing and ‘Chilling’ Moment of Patriotism

The following rendition of the United States National Anthem will bring chills, especially when you realize how it all came about. Fans come to the rescue and belt out the National Anthem that was a moving and powerful expression of patriotism.

From The Blaze:

During Friday’s Sporting KC Major League Soccer game, technical difficulties plagued what was supposed to be a performance by Dr. Cameron Smith. His moment to shine was thwarted by a faulty public address system and two misbehaving microphones. So that’s when the fans in Kansas City decided to step up and deliver a rousing rendition of the song themselves.

The result? As one person who caught it on video put it, “chilling.”

Former St. Louis Rams Practice Squad Player T.Y. Nsekhe Gets Hammered in Backlash after Tweeting Anti-Military Comments … ‘It Doesn’t Take Much Skill To Kill Someone’

Anti-military Tweet from former St. Louis Ram Offensive lineman was quite offensive …

It all started after an individual Tweeted that she found it hard to believe that an individual wearing a helmet defending a football makes more money than a soldier wearing a helmet defending his country. I actually second that opinion as it is the soldier who makes our country free so that another individual has the right to play football. The dim-witted and cut practice squad offensive lineman then Tweeted, “It doesn’t take much skill to kill someone.” Wow, really? So an out of work football player who only played in 2 games thinks they can make it through military basic training, wanna bet?

Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said Nsekhe wasn’t in the NFL because he’s “not necessarily a deep thinker, OK?”

The incident started after someone named Morgan Reed – under the Twitter handle @_Morganism_ – tweeted “Hard to believe that a player in a helmet defendin’ a football makes more money than a soldier in a helmet defendin’ his country.”

Offensive tacke Ty Nsekhe (@TY_Nsekhe), who was on the Rams practice squad in 2012, then responded, “It doesn’t take much skill to kill someone.”

Statement from The St Louis Rams:

The opinions Nsekhe shared via social media are his own and are completely contradictory to the values of our organization and the priority we place on military and veteran appreciation.

The St. Louis Rams are grateful for the sacrifices our military and their families make in order to defend our freedom and protect our great nation. The Rams have a longstanding commitment to our military and veterans and that commitment has only been strengthened under Head Coach Jeff Fisher, a passionate supporter of the military and everything that they represent.  We find it deplorable that anyone would express any feelings other than extreme gratitude for the service that our country’s military provides.

UPDATE I: T.Y. Nsekhe is in full retreat and spin mode as he tries to apologize for his ignorant comment. Sorry, no one is buying it.

Former St. Louis Rams practice player T.Y. Nsekhe apologized to fans after facing intense backlash for a tweet he sent out a Tweet Monday night dismissing the talent of those in the U.S. military.

“In no way were my comments meant to demean the members of our US armed forces,” Nsekhe said. “I recognize the sacrifices these members make so that all American’s [sic] can enjoy the freedoms our soldiers [sic] skills have afforded us.”

Ex-Heavyweight Boxing Champion Tommy Morrison Dies at 44

Tommy Morrison, the former heavyweight champion, and who played the role of Tommy Gunn in “Rocky V” alongside Sylvester Stallone, has died at the age of 44. Morrison died in an Omaha, Nebraska hospital late Sunday night.  Morrison died at approximately 11:50 p.m. with his wife, Trisha, beside him. No cause of death was provided. In 1993, Morrison beat Foreman to win the WBO heavyweight title, but by February of 1996, Morrison had tested positive for HIV and his boxing career was over. He had denied he had the disease but was unable to attain a boxing license.  His wife also denied the allegations. Morrison finished with a record of 48-3-1 with 42 knockouts.

Trisha Morrison, who married Morrison in 2011, picked up that fight, and in a recent interview with ESPN.com insisted that Morrison had Guillain-Barre Syndrome, not HIV.

Holden declined to comment Monday on the cause of Morrison’s death.

“I don’t know what the official cause of death at the hospital will be,” he said.

As reported in USA Today, Morrison’s license was quickly suspended by Nevada, and the ban was, in effect, upheld by every other sanctioning body. Morrison said at a news conference he’d never fight again, blaming his plight on a “permissive, fast and reckless lifestyle.” Sadly, it would appear that his lifestyle never changed.

Tommy Morrison, the former heavyweight champion who stood toe-to-toe with Lennox Lewis and George Foreman and later tested positive for HIV, died Monday. He was 44.

Morrison died Sunday night at a Nebraska hospital, said Tony Holden, his longtime promoter and close friend. The family would not disclose the cause of death.

In 1993, Morrison beat Foreman to win the WBO heavyweight title, only to lose it to unheralded Michael Bentt in a defeat that scuttled a showdown with Lewis. Morrison would fight Lewis a couple of years later, getting knocked out in the sixth round in Atlantic City, N.J.

Check Out the Fake Injury from Last Nights Clemson Tiger – Georgia Bulldog Football Game … #84 Told to Lay Down Pretending Injury to Stop the Clemson Fast Break Offense

THE NCAA BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS OBVIOUS CHEATING, OR ARE THEY ONLY GOING TO SUSPEND THE PLAYER FOR A HALF ALSO?

CHEATERS!!! The NCAA could not seem to find it in themselves to properly penalize Johnny Manziel for his alleged autograph signing and potential profiting from it, but they better find a way to stop the recurrent cheating by teams faking injuries on defense to stop the pace of the game and the high attack offenses like the Clemson Tigers. Watch the video below and see the obvious cheating by the University of George defense. One player, #5 CB Damian Swann, looks to the sidelines to the coaching staff, then you see him tell the other player, #84 LB  Leonard Floyd, to go down on the ground and pretend like he was injured. The effect, stopping the flow of the game and the “tempo” of the high octane Clemson Tiger offense with triplets, QB Taj Boyd, WR Sammie Watkins, RB Roderick McDowell.

This type of obvious cheating has got to be punished as it is taking away from the integrity of the game. If the defensive players cannot suck it up and play, then either the coaching staff needs to take a time out or they better do some better conditioning during training camp. However, the refs need to start calling 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalties. And if it continues to occur, players need to be suspended. This kind of stuff happened to Clemson during last years Chick-fil-a Bowl when the Clemson offense ran 100 offensive plays on the LSU defense and the defenders were dropping like flies and constantly taking a knee claiming injury.

One thing is for certain, the NCAA needs to penalize this obvious cheating, for the good and the integrity of the game.

Let’s get some thing perfectly clear, I could care less about the Clemson Tigers, I am a SEC fan, I just thing that it is a bush league play to fake an injury as a form of defense against an offense that you can’t keep up with. I say this no matter who does it. When it is so obvious that is what is going on, as almost like it has become a defensive call.
