Class Act, The World’s Fastest Man Usain Bolt Stops Interview to Show Respect For US National Anthem During London Olympics
Talk about a class act …
Usain Bolt, the Jamaica sprinter and World’s Fastest Man, managed to stop on a dime during an interview during the London Summer Olympics out of respect for the US National Anthem. Bolt, who won back to back gold medals in the 100 meters, stopped his interview with a reporter out of respect for the playing of the US National Anthem. Take a bow Usain Bolt, you deserve a gold medal for class.
The Gateway Pundit reminds us that Bolt managed to muster more respect for the United States National Anthem that a certain incumbent president (photo).
17 Year Old British Teen Screams “Allahu Akbar” As He Tries to Steal Olympic From Torch Bearer Anna Skora … Arrested
Because Islam is a religion of Peace …
A 17 year old teen shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ – Arabic for ‘God is Great’ as he attempted to grab the torch from the 23 year old torch bearer Anna Skora in Great Britain. The teen managed to break through the line of police officers escorting the torch as he lunged out of the crowd to grab the torch. He was soon surrounded and then arrested. It is one thing for an over-exuberant individual to ignorantly bum-rush the torch bearer for some foolish claim of glory, quick another for one getting so easily through security and shouting, “Allahu Akbar.”
A 17-year-old shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ – Arabic for ‘God is Great’ – as he unsuccessfully tried to grab the Olympic torch during a stretch of the flame’s route through Maidstone towards Redhill.
Broadcast live on the BBC, the youth lunged from the crowd to try to take the torch from the hands of its bearer Anna Skora, but was swiftly bundled away by officers.
In one video posted to YouTube he can be seen waiting behind a car and as Ms Skora gets closer he lunges towards the torch.
WOW, check out the VIDEO posted at The Jawa Report. Jawa asks, did the BBC deliberately edit the above video link? You can plainly hear the teen who jumped out of the crowd shout, “Allahu Akbar”. However, not on the one above.
You know I hate to say this and I really hope that I am wrong, but there has been far too many issues going on with security and issues of terrorism going on in England, terrorist arrests leading up to the Summer Olympics, but it would not shock me if we see a terror incident during the games.

Terrorism in the UK: Al-Qaeda Terror Suspect Caught at Olympic Park in London
Just a couple weeks before the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and another terrorist arrest …
An al-Qaeda terrorist, believed to be a suicide bomber, has been detained after caught crossing through the Olympic Park and breaching security five times in one day in London. The man, who is of Somali origin and known only as CF is also suspected of fighting for the Al Qaeda group al-Shabaab.
This coming on the foot-heals of six people arrested, including White Muslim convert Richard Dart arrested last week. Previously, two Muslim converts were arrested in East London yesterday on suspicion of plotting an attack against the London Olympic canoeing venue.
The alleged al-Qaeda militant was caught crossing through the Olympic Park five times, breaking a ban imposed by the Home Secretary, The Sunday Telegraph has learned.
The 24 year-old has previously tried to get to Afghanistan, allegedly for terrorist training, and is suspected of fighting for the Somali Islamist group al Shabaab, which has been responsible for thousands of deaths, including those of Western aid workers. He is accused of trying to recruit other Britons to its cause.
A Home Office lawyer warned after his discovery in the Olympic area that the man – known as CF – wanted to “re-engage in terrorism-related activities, either in the UK or Somalia” and is “determined to continue to adhere to his Islamist extremist agenda”.
His detention is the most serious security alert yet to hit the Olympic Park.
One really has to wonder what al-Qaeda has in store for the Summer Olympics in London? Is this all just a ruse to make people nervous, was this individual performing reconnaissance mission for a potential terror attack? Will we have a peaceful games where the only stories will be what the athletes do on the track, in the pool and the gym or could this become a “bloody mess”?

Famed Artist LeRoy Neiman Dead at Age 91, Artist Best Known for Famous Sporting Images Has Passed
Anyone who followed sports, boxing, Super Bowls and the Olympics knows who LeRoy Neiman was. His bold colors and brash paintings of sporting events were all the rage in their day. Sadly, the iconic artist LeRoy Neimna has passed away at the age of 91. Rest in Peace … he will now be painting brilliant colors in Heaven.
LeRoy Neiman, whose brilliantly colored, impressionistic sketches of sporting events and the international high life made him one of the most popular artists in the United States, died on Wednesday in Manhattan. He was 91.
Mr. Neiman’s kinetic, quickly executed paintings and drawings, many of them published in Playboy, offered his fans gaudily colored visual reports on heavyweight boxing matches, Super Bowl games and Olympic contests, as well as social panoramas like the horse races at Deauville, France, and the Cannes Film Festival.
He was named official artist of the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid and in Sarajevo as well as the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Check out the LeRoy Neimna website.
Mr. Neiman’s most famous images came from the world of sports. His long association with the Olympics began with the Winter Games in Squaw Valley in 1960, and he went on to cover the games, on live television, in Munich in 1972, Montreal in 1976, Lake Placid in 1980, and Sarajevo and Los Angeles in 1984, using watercolor, ink or felt-tip marker to produce images with the dispatch of a courtroom sketch artist. At the 1978 and 1979 Super Bowls, he used a computerized electronic pen to portray the action for CBS.
Although he was best known for scenes filled with people and incident, he also painted many portraits. Athletes predominated, with Muhammad Ali and Joe Namath among his more famous subjects, but he also painted Leonard Bernstein, the ballet dancer Suzanne Farrell, the poet Marianne Moore and Sylvester Stallone, who gave Mr. Neiman cameo roles in three “Rocky” films.
