Marco Rubio Announces John Boehner’s Resignation At Values Voters Summit To Endless Standing Ovation

CHECK OUT THE STANDING OVATION WHEN IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE JOHN BOEHNER WAS RESIGNING.

It would appear that I wasn’t the only one cheering this morning when I heard the news … During this mornings Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC  Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) during his speech announced Speaker John Boehner was resigning from the House and the Conservatives in the crowd cheered with an endless standing ovation. The cheers that Boehner was stepping down were well earned as Boehner departs as least-popular speaker in three decades.

Rubio followed up the applause that Boehner was stepping down with the comment, “With all due respect to people who serve in government,  it is important at this moment, with respect to him and the service he has provided to our country, it’s not about him, and I’m not here today to bash anyone, but the time has come to turn the page. The time has come to turn the page and allow a new generation of leadership in this country.” I can only hope the other establishment GOP House types understand this as none of us want you to take over the role of the Speaker. That means you Rep. Kevin McCarthy. The GOP party need a fresh start in both the House and the Senate. Those in leadership roles have done nothing and all need to go.

Conservative voters roared in a standing ovation Friday at the Values Voter Summit in Washington after Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) announced Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) plans to retire. Rubio, who is running for president, shared the news that broke just before his speech, working it into prepared remarks where he questioned why a Republican Congress isn’t “able to stop our country from sliding in the wrong direction.” “Just a few minutes ago, Speaker Boehner announced that he will be resigning,” Rubio said to thunderous applause. He told the crowd it is time for Republicans to “turn the page.” “With all due respect to people who serve in government — it is important at this moment, with respect to him and the service he has provided to our country — it’s not about him, and I’m not here today to bash anyone, but the time has come to turn the page.”

WOW, DOES HILLARY CLINTON HAVE A REAL ISSUE IN A GENERAL ELECTION AGAINST THE GOP?

As reported at CNN, a recent Quinnipiac University poll of swing state shows the Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton is trailing former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in each of the states of Colorado, Iowa and Virginia. This is an amazing turn of events from the all but crowned Democrat 2016 presidential nominee. Hillary is doing terribly in these polls as to being honest and trust worthy. At least some people in America are finally paying attention as Hillary Clinton might be one of the most insincere, most un-trustworthy presidential candidates ever. Between her lack of answers and stonewalling on Benghazi as Secretary of State, her less than transparent private email account and private server she used to conduct business as Secretary of State and then destroying said emails and her over-all unwillingness to make herself available to the media and the people as a presidential candidate. Could the gig finally be up for Hillary? It’s not like one would think her poll numbers could get better? She has 100% name recognition, but her lack of honesty may just be her undoing. But as Hillary would say of her lack of transparency and honest, “what difference does it make”. Hopefully it will make a huge difference with the voters.

Hillary Clinton trails three top Republican presidential candidates in head-to-head matchups in Colorado, Iowa and Virginia, a new survey shows.

The latest Quinnipiac University swing state polling released Wednesday shows the Democratic frontrunner trailing former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in each of those states.

The biggest loser, the polls found, is Donald Trump, who has surged to the front of a crowded Republican primary field nationally but is viewed unfavorably, by almost a 2-to-1 margin, by voters in those states.

The results offered more indications that Clinton has a problem: Voters say they don’t trust her.

In Colorado, only 34% of voters said they see Clinton as honest and trustworthy while 62% said they don’t. In Iowa, the numbers were 33% to 59% — a drop from 45% to 47% in April. And in Virginia, Clinton did best, at 39% saying they trust her to 55% saying they don’t.

In Colorado, Clinton trails Rubio 38%-46%, Bush 36%-41% and Walker 38%-47%. In Iowa, she trails Rubio 36%-44%, Bush 36%-42% and Walker 37%-45%. And in Virginia, Clinton has the narrowest margins between her and her Republican opponents, where she lags behind Rubio 41%-43%, Bush 39%-42% and Walker 40%-43%.

If the people of the United States ever want to have a prayer of trying to save their country and get it back on course they will never vote for Hillary.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made it official, in a speech at Miami’s Freedom Tower, Marco Rubio announced his 2016 presidential run. Rubio stressed a fresh approach to the future, telling supporters that “yesterday is over and we’re never going back.” The 43 year old Republican Florida Senator is all in and he has quite the story of only in America to tell We the People. As the son of poor Cuban immigrants, Marco Rubio spoke of The American Dream.

Both of my parents were born to poor families in Cuba. After his mother died when he was nine, my father left school to go work. My mother was one of seven girls raised by a disabled father who struggled to provide for his family.

When they were young, my parents had big dreams for themselves. But because they were not born into wealth or power, their future was destined to be defined by their past. So in 1956 they came here, to the one place on earth where the aspirations of people like them could be more than just dreams.

My father became a bartender. My mother a cashier, a maid and a Kmart stock clerk. They never made it big. But they were successful. Two immigrants with little money or education found stable jobs, owned a home, retired with security and gave all four of their children a life far better than their own.

My parents achieved what came to be known as the American Dream. But now, too many Americans are starting to doubt whether achieving that dream is still possible:

Notice how you never hear Rubio or his supporters say that a reason to vote for him is to be the first Hispanic president or the first Cuban-American one? It’s about the dream, the American dream that he wants every American to have and to pay back America for all that he has received.

Because while our people and economy are pushing the boundaries of the 21st century, too many of our leaders and their ideas are stuck in the twentieth century.

But can Marco Rubio win, he better because he is not running for both Senate and the President? If he loses, he is out of politics. Although I have to believe that if he does not get the GOP nomination, he would be on the short list for VP.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) Wins CPAC Presidential Straw Poll in a Landslide … 2nd Sen. Ted Cuz (TX), 3rd Ben Carson

Look for Democrats and their liberal MSM minions to go after the rising new anti-establishment star of the Conservative movement, Rand Paul.

Rand Paul wins the presidential straw poll at CPAC going away. Paul received 31% of the vote, while his fellow anti-establishment Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz finished in second place with 11%.  Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who came to prominence when he let America and Barack Obama know what he felt about Obamacare at the 2013 National Prayers Breakfast, finished third with 9%. Paul is a very dangerous and formidable opponent for Democrats as he energizes the GOP base and brings in the young and libertarian vote.

Rand Paul handily won the presidential straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday, one gauge of the Republican base’s mood less than two years before the 2016 primary season kicks off.

The Kentucky senator received 31 percent, far ahead of second place Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who received 11 percent. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson finished third with 9 percent, ahead of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who received 8 percent.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum tied for fifth place, with 7 percent.

Um, Chris Christie who? The Republican that the media just drools over, including Fox News, finished distant 4th.

1. Sen. Rand Paul – KY (31%) – Although I do not agree with all of his policies, Paul is a Conservative and breath of fresh air from the power-elite GOP establishment.
2. Sen. Ted Cruz – TX (11%) – A Conservative rock star, who if he can run, would make a great President and follow the US Constitution.
3. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson (9%) – From out of nowhere Carson has taken the Conservatives by storm. I would vote for Ben in a heartbeat.
4. Gov. Chris Cristie – NJ (8%) – RINO has no chance of winning GOP primary if Republicans ever want to be anything more than Democrat-light.
5. Gov. Scott Walker – WI (7%) – A solid GOP governor who will one day be a president.
6. Former Sen Rick Santorum – PA (7%)
7. Sen. Marco Rubio – FL (6%) – His stance on immigration amnesty has made Rubio toast with the base.
8. Rep. Paul Ryan – WI (3%) – The base not enamored with establishment Republican and 2012 VP nominee.
9. Gov. Rick Perry – TX (3%) – His performance in the 2012 GOP primaries may be too much to overcome.

Four others pulled 2%: Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

While other addresses at this year’s CPAC focused on specific policies and red-meat issues like gay marriage and ObamaCare, Paul spoke in broad metaphorical terms of the need to “stand together for liberty.”

“It isn’t good enough to pick the lesser of two evils,” he said. “We must elect men of principle and conviction and action who will lead us back to greatness. There is a great and tumultuous battle underway, not for the future of the Republican Party, but for the future of the country.”

Paul framed the libertarian-ideas that have gained prominence within the party in recent years in historical terms, positioning his values as descending from the nation’s Founding Fathers. Paul name-dropped foundational American thinkers ranging from Daniel Webster to John Adams, James Madison to Montesquieu, but also quoted Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.

One of his biggest applause lines seemed specifically geared toward the digital generation that has special resonance in the wake of the ongoing debate over privacy and NSA surveillance.

“I believe what you do on your cellphone is none of their damn business,” he said, to extended cheers from the crowd.

Rand Paul released the following statement touting his win:

“The fight for liberty continues, and we must continue to stand up and say: We’re free and no one, no matter how well-intentioned, will take our freedoms from us,” he said. “Together we will stand up for the Constitution. Together we will fight for what is right. Thank you, and onwards to victory.
