Fox News Poll: 60% of Voters Think ObamaCare Implementation is ‘a Joke’
60% of voters believe that the implementation of Obamacare is a joke … JUST 60%?
A Fox News poll shows that 60% of voters think that the Obamacare implementation is a joke, while 30% actually believe it is going fine. Seriously, even if you like the law Democrats, there is no way that one can say that the implementation is going fine. Many believe, including former Obama White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs that some one should be fired for the disastrous implementation. That is hardly going fine. However, it is not just the implementation of Obamacare that is a joke, as Americans learn more and more about Barack Obama’s signature piece of legislation that was passed on a partisan Democrat vote by only Democrats in the House and the Senate, they will come to realize that the joke is on them.
Six voters in ten describe implementation of ObamaCare as “a joke,” and more voters than not say problems with the government’s health insurance website are so bad someone should be fired, according to a Fox News national poll.
The new poll, released Wednesday, also finds a majority continues to dislike President Obama’s signature achievement: 51 percent of voters use negative terms to describe the health care law, saying it is either “a step backward” or “disastrous.” That’s down two percentage points from 53 percent in August. On the other side, 44 percent describe ObamaCare positively, either as “wonderful” or “progress.” It was 43 percent two months ago.
Most Democrats continue to describe the health care law positively: 12 percent “wonderful” and 62 percent “progress,” while most Republicans continue to call it “a step backward” (20 percent) or “disastrous” (66 percent).
Full poll results can be seen here.
Other poll results:
- Do you approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president? 53% disapprove – 41% approve
- Do you favor or oppose establishing limits on the number of terms members of the U.S. Congress can serve, including your own senators and representative? 77% Favor – 18% Oppose
- And which of the following do you think best describes how Obamacare is being carried out and implemented? 60% a joke – 31% Its going fine
UPDATE I: As Americans voice their displeasure with Obamacare disastrous rollout, many Democrats like Sens. Joe Manchin and Jeanne Shaheen are jumping ship and looking for political cover. They will not be the only ones.

Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) Working on Bill that would Delay Obamacare Individual Mandate
What’s good for businesses should also be good for American individuals …
According to TPM, Democrat Senator from West Virginia Joe Manchin is working on a bill that would delay the “individual” mandate fir Obamacare for one year. After the disastrous rollout of the Obamacare website, Healthcare.gov, and the fact that the site just does not work and is an embarrassing joke … a delay in the individual mandate may be in order. It will be interesting to see if this bill gets traction with other Senate Democrats. The dominoes are starting to fall … More to the point, Democrats fear a backlash in 2014.
On second thought, maybe this Obamacare is a complete train wreck
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is working on legislation to effectively delay Obamacare’s individual mandate for one year, his office told TPM on Wednesday.
His spokesman, Jonathan Kott, said Manchin opposes a bill proposed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) to delay the mandate for a more indefinite period of time while problems with the insurance exchanges persist.
Manchin is the second Democrat this week to call for a delay in the individual mandate. As reported earlier, Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) voiced her support for a delay as well.
How about we just scrap the entire mess?
UPDATE I: Senate Dems Up for Re-Election in 2014 to Back Delay of Obamacare Enrollment Deadline.
These Democrats don’t care about the people, they are doing this to save their collective political a$$es and their power.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), who is up for re-election in 2014, wrote to Obama on Tuesday and asked him to delay the enrollment deadline for the individual mandate. “Given the existing problems with the website, I urge you to consider extending open enrollment beyond the current end date of March 31, 2014,” Shaheen wrote to the president. “Allowing extra time for consumers is critically important so they have the opportunity to become familiar with the website, survey their options and enroll.”
On Wednesday, Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR), who is facing a tough challenge in his 2014 re-election against Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR), came out in support of Shaheen’s call for a delay of the individual mandate’s enrollment deadline. Pryor had previously been on record as supportive of the mandate as is.
Now, according to CNN’s Bash, the Democratic Party is coordinating an effort to support a delay in the individual mandate

OBAMACARE: Democrat Senator of West Virginia Joe Manchin Breaks Ranks to Back “GOP” Mandate Delay
Think Democrats in “RED” states are not politically scared to death of Obamacare?
US Senator Joe Manchin (WV-D) has broke ranks with his fellow Democrats and says he would support a stopgap spending plan that delays the individual mandate in President Barack Obama’s Obamacare. Manchin is from the “RED” state of West Virginia and knows just how unpopular this healthcare boondoggle truly is. But aren’t Democrats supposed to be for the “people” and against “big business”? Or at least that is what they say. So why don’t Democrats support a delay in the “individual” mandate like they were for big business?
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia broke ranks with fellow Democrats and said he’d support a stopgap spending plan that delays the individual mandate in President Barack Obama’s health-care law.
“There’s no way I could not vote for it,” Manchin said at a Bloomberg Government breakfast today. “It’s very reasonable and sensible.”
The individual mandate is the linchpin of the law that requires Americans who lack insurance to purchase health care through government-run exchanges. Republicans, led by a group of newcomers in the House, are pushing to dismantle the health-care law and are using a ticking clock on a possible Oct. 1 government shutdown as leverage.
The Democratic-led Senate will vote in coming days on the stopgap spending plan and before sending it back to the House will remove language that defunds Obamacare. Obama and House Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat, have said they won’t support using the budget to change the health law.
Manchin, 66, said he’d be willing to delay the individual mandate as part of the budget negotiations because the Obama administration in July gave businesses an extra year to provide their workers with health insurance.
So why is the Obama White House against the people getting the same breaks as they have provided big business? From CNN comes White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was dismissive Thursday of comments by Sen. Joe Manchin endorsing a one-year delay of the new health care law’s individual mandate.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was dismissive Thursday of comments by Sen. Joe Manchin endorsing a one-year delay of the new health care law’s individual mandate.
“The fact is you have to make the system work,” Carney told reporters during the White House press briefing, arguing that one of the most popular aspects of the Affordable Care Act, the protection of those with preexisting conditions, cannot work without the individual mandate.
So are the rats really jumping ship or is this prearranged with the White House to let vulnerable Democrats off the hook in Red States?

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) None Too Happy about MTV’s New Reality Show, “Buckwild” … described as “The Jersey Shore of Appalachia”
WOW, the folks at MTV are not too original now are they? MTV’s next venture in the realm of cheap and exploitative reality show that will make fun of West Virginia called “Buckwild”. Like that is new and original. It has been describes as ‘The Jersey Shore” of reality shows. Great. The show will just be an exploitation and play to the stereo-types that people already have of West Virginia Needless to say, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) is none too happy about it. I cannot say I blame him. It probably won’t take one episode before they make an incestuous cousin joke.
Trailer – Buckwild … Honestly, just watching this will cause you to lose brain cells
The show is scheduled to debut next month and follows a group of nine twenty-somethings living in and around Sissonville, W.Va., a town of just 4,000 residents. The program has been described as “The ‘Jersey Shore’ of Appalachia,” referring to the now-canceled reality show that earned the ire of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) and state lawmakers.
In the case of “Buckwild,” Manchin said he’s only seen previews for the show — but that the teases that staffers showed him were enough to compel him to send a letter Friday to MTV President Stephen Friedman asking that the network “put a stop to the travesty called ‘Buckwild.’”
A disgusted Joe Manchin went on to further say, “Instead of showcasing the beauty of our people and our state, you preyed on young people, coaxed them into displaying shameful behavior — and now you are profiting from it. That is just wrong.” Sadly, that is what TV programming has become. Even more pathetic, that is what I guess most Americans want to see as if there was no market for these ignorant, exploitative shows that thrive on the misfortune, making fun of and stereotypes … there would be no more of the foolish reality shows. Thus in the end, it is not MTV that is to blame, it is the people who actually tune in.

Unconventional Times … More Democrats Plan to Skip the Democrat National Covention, Add New York Democratic Reps. Bill Owens & Kathy Hochul to the List
UNCONVENTIONAL TIMES … THE RATS ARE ABANDONING THE SS OBAMA.
Talk about no coattails … add two more Democrats to the list of those politicians who will not be attending the Democrat National Convention in North Carolina later this summer, otherwise known as the Obama love-fest. New York Democrat US Reps Bill Owens and Kathy Hochul will be skipping to convention so to not appear like they are left-wing Obama partisan politicians. Really? One would think that their constituents only need to look at their voting record since they have been “Inside the Beltway”. However, this is proving to be a troubling trend. If Democrat politicians in right leaning districts or those that are in need of Independents to get elected, one has to wonder just how well Barack Obama will do in 2012.
Um, don’t forget to RSVP to the DNCC
Vulnerable Democrats looking to distance themselves from President Obama have found an easy way to bolster their independent bona fides: just skip Obama’s big party.
At least half a dozen Democratic officials have said in recent days that they won’t attend the Democratic National Convention this September in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the president will formally receive the party’s nomination for a second term. The latest: New York Democratic Reps. Bill Owens and Kathy Hochul, both of whom won special elections in recent years – in 2009 and 2011, respectively – that were heralded by party leaders.
“I guarantee that my time will be better spent meeting the farmers, small business owners and other people who put me here,” Hochul told The Daily today.
A spokesman for Owens gave a similar explanation.
“He just has a packed schedule back home,” he said.
Previously, Pennsylvania Rep. Mark Critz and West Virginia Democrats Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, Sen. Joe Manchin and Rep. Nick Rahall all stated that they will be skipping the event. So these folks do not want their peeps to see them yucking it up with Obama and the crazed Kool-Aid drinkers. So just during election time these politicians decide to stay away from Obama, yet the rest of the time its AOK. The voters in these states and districts should vote them out just for that.
Exit Questions: What will the over/under be in the Vegas line for Democrats skipping the convention?
