Rev. Joseph Lowery, Was This What America Really Needed? Race-based benediction: “When white will embrace what is right”

This was hardly the time or the place to make such a comment. Didn’t Obama say today in his Inauguration Speech, “On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.” I guess the good Reverend Lowery did not get the memo.

There has been so much talk about Obama bringing together Republicans and Democrats, whites and blacks and starting a new era and tone in the White House for America. A funny thing happened on the way to the swearing in … an ill timed and ill tempered race based benediction by Rev. Joseph Lowery that was just really uncalled for. Was this really necessary? This is exactly the very stuff that many feared would have occurred if former Obama pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright had done the benediction. This is fellowship?

Pray that “white will embrace what is right!!!” As Hot Air states, Didn’t whites just do that by electing Jesus Christ president? As Allah Pundit also asks, “that Rick Warren’s pretty controversial, huh?”

“We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to give back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right, Lowery said.

Michelle Malkin also questions the message that such a benediction sends. One wonders what type of reaction they are looking to get, or do they not want people to get along?

But the benediction’s eloquence was marred by glib racialism.

Lowery got big cheers when he weaved in a weird prayer rap expressing his hope for a future in which the “brown would stick around,” the “yellow would be mellow,” the “red man would get ahead, man,” and the “white would embrace the right.”

The “white would embrace the right?”

Who wrote that line? Jeremiah Wright? And what would Obama’s grandparents and mother have to say?

Our favorite scene from Its a Charlie Brown Christmas …

Luke 2:10-17

And the angel said to them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David;  a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord This will be a sign to you: You wilt find a baby wrapped in strips of cloths and lying in a manger.

Iraq’s Christians, a small minority in the overwhelmingly Muslim country, quietly celebrated Christmas on Thursday with a present from the government, which declared it an official holiday for the first time.

Caylee Anthony, She Deserved So much Better from her Family (Casey, Cindy, George & Lee Anthony) Eventually She Was Saved by her Father at Christmas

A Christmas Gift in Heaven … Caylee Anthony’s Unconditional Love.

A special Christmas wish to Caylee Anthony and all missing children during this Christmas season. In the end the little girl who had no father listed on her birth certificate; it was her Father who cared the most and her Father who brought her home for Christmas.

Caylee Anthony

Christmas is supposed to be a time for giving, a time for thinking and doing for others, peace on earth and good will, and most importantly a time for children. Why especially a time for children? Of course there is nothing more special than to see a child’s reaction on Christmas day when they first come upon the sight of a decorated Christmas tree with lights, ornaments and presents beneath. The look of joy can never be described in words but can only be felt in one’s heart.  However, maybe its about a lot more when it comes to children … as it is the reason for the season as God steps in to right man’s wrongs and reminds us that Christ was born.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Caylee Anthony deserved so much more in her life here on this earth than she received. Caylee Anthony deserved a mother who cared more about her than of herself. Caylee Anthony deserved grandparents who cared more about finding her and bringing her home than they did protecting their daughter and their dysfunctional family. Caylee deserved a protecting uncle. Caylee deserved people who she was surrounded by to care enough to actually question where she might be rather than being caught up selfishly in their own lives. A two year old child is dependent on those around them and shame on them all for not caring enough to do so. In the end, it was her Father who cared most.

It is at least it is reassuring to know that she is in a much better place today with her Father. Gone is the pain and heartache of human selfishness, hate, anger, envy, ignorance and want. The Caylee Anthony story provides so many with questions of how could anyone do this to such a sweet, young, innocent girl. Life’s lesson to Caylee’s legacy is to love your children, cherish them as they are never supposed to be a burden to you, they are your greatest treasure. Caylee Anthony will forever know the true love that she should have experienced here on earth. Her unconditional love that she gave to those around her will now be reciprocated in more ways than she could ever dream. Caylee will experience eternal love and be at peace.

Separation of Church and Media: Fire at Wasilla Bible Church, Sarah Palin’s Church Damaged by Arson

Let us all agree that the burning of a church in the South, the North or Alaska is an evil, evil act. Just plain EVIL!

Wasilla Bible Church in Wasilla, AK was badly damaged by fire Friday night that Sarah_Palin_Church_arsonwas thought to be arson. The church is better known for being the church of Alaskan Governor, and recent Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. There was an estimated $1 million of damage to the church as the fire was set while people were inside the church including two children. Authorities described the fire as “suspicious and as potential arson.” Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.

It is a sad state of affairs that Go. Sarah Palin feels the need to apologize to the church thinking that there might be a connection between the fire and her political run for office.

Alaska Go. Sarah Palin’s home church was badly damaged by arson, leading the governor to apologize Saturday if the fire was connected to “undeserved negative attention” from her campaign as the Republican vice presidential nominee.

HE’s BACK: Reverend Wright Returns Trinity United Church of Christ … “Obama is Still My Child”

HE’S BACK … REVEREND WRIGHT WITH MORE HATE …

Bill Ayers recently surfaced out of the woodwork following the election of Barack Wright_funeral2Obama so it was only a matter of time before Barack Obama’s other albatross surfaced as well. That is “wright”, Reverend Wright is back in the spot light. In a guest appearance at the Trinity United Church of Christ this past Sunday, Reverend Wright was back in the pulpit spewing more hate and venom. Wright stated that Obama had made a bad decision in casting the reverend under the bus during the election, but insisted that, “he’s still my child”. A rather peculiar statement coming from the lips of Reverend Jeremiah Wright as I though … we are all God’s children.

The question still remain as to why on earth John McCain never used Reverend Wright as a focal point during the election. Other past relationships of Obama were used, why not Wright? How could such a polarizing lightening rod not have been used is the answer? No one needed condemn the Reverend Wright, all they needed was to replay his own words of  “God damn America”.  Of course John McCain wimped out and failed to make Reverend Wright an issue in the campaign. Watch the campaign commercial that never was. McCain stated he wanted to run a respectful campaign. Oh, that makes sense. Some how Ayers and the domestic terrorism was ok to attack but Barack Obama’s minister for 20 year was not. This was an incredibly stupid calculation on McCain’s part only compounded by voting for the initial bail out plan.

Jesus said upon this rock I will build–listen to the promise–my church,” he said.

“And the gates of Hell–listen to the promise–the gates of Hell–neither ABC nor CNN–the gates of Hell–neither Hannity nor O’Reilly–the gates of Hell–neither Time, Time magazine, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Tribune … the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. Nothing will be impossible with God.”

He referred to Elizabeth Hasselback of ABC’s The View as “that dumb broad” and said Guantánamo Bay was a result of colonialism. “What are we doing in Cuba? We just take stuff.”
