President Obama Leaves Out An Important Word In His Reading Of The Gettysburg Address … “Under God”
Why should anyone be surprised at anything he does anymore?
As if it was not bad enough that President Barack Obama did not attend the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, even though Obama claims that Lincoln is one of his heroes. A snub was not enough for this president, in a he managed to leave the word “under God” out of his reading of Lincoln’s great speech. From NRO, in a recorded recitation uploaded to YouTube on November 9, President Obama read the address in its entirety. However, when it came to the line “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom,” the President left out the words “under God.” Of course he did. Because this is what community agitators do, cause division, chaos and turmoil at every turn.
One nation under God? Under President Obama, maybe not so much.
As first reported on WMAL’s Chris Plante Show Tuesday, the Commander-in-Chief joined a cast of 61 other noted lawmakers, politicians, news anchors and celebrities, including every living President, in reciting the Gettysburg Address, which President Abraham Lincoln delivered on November 19, 1863.
The dignitaries all delivered the address as Lincoln had written it, including the phrase, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.” (Click to listen). Curiously, however, in his version of the address, President Obama omitted the words “under God.”

But of course this was probably the first time Barack Obama was made aware that “under God” was actually in the Gettysburg Address. And it makes no matter as he was too busy fixing the Obamacare website to have noticed. Oh, and it was Bush’s and the GOP’s fault.
The irony of it all is best pointed out by the Heritage Foundation. It is a stretch for a big government, socialist liberal like Barack Obama who believes in the ‘nanny state,” seems to not have a grasp of the US Constitution, the separation of powers and that Our Government is supposed to be of, by and for the People. However, under Obama, he thinks that the people work for the government. The final line of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address is, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”.

UPDATE I: Beth Holloway: ‘Never give up hope’.
She hasn’t seen justice in her daughter’s death, but even that didn’t snuff Beth Holloway’s hope. She presented the stories of other families looking for missing loved ones and founded the Natalee Holloway Resource Center.
“After all I’ve been through, and all my family’s been through, I have a right to crawl in a hole and never come out — but that’s not how I want to live my life,” she said. “I found myself asking what I can do to teach others from our tragic situation.”
Beth Holloway praised Gingerbread House staff members and supporters for their role in nurturing hope. Gingerbread House serves children who have suffered physical and sexual abuse.
“You are proactively working to save these children from their abusers,” she said.

So where is the outrage that Christan are being killed in Muslim countries? The LA Times is reporting that a pair of suicide bombers detonated their explosives outside a historic church in northwestern Pakistan on Sunday, killing over 60 people in the deadliest-ever attack on the country’s Christian minority. The NY Times is reporting 75 people are dead as the cowardly suicide bombers detonated their bombs as as worshipers left the All Saints Church in the old quarter of the regional capital, Peshawar.
The bombing in Peshawar, which wounded 120 people, underlines the threat posed by Islamic extremists as the government seeks a peace deal with domestic Taliban militants. It will likely intensify criticism from those who believe that negotiating peace with militants is a mistake.
The blasts killed more than 60 people and wounded 120, said Arshad Javed, top health official at the hospital in Peshawar where the victims were being treated. The dead included several women and children, said Sher Ali Khan, another doctor at the hospital.
The number of casualties was so high that the hospital was running out of caskets for the dead and beds for the wounded, said Mian Iftikhar Hussain, a former information minister of surrounding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province who was on the scene.
“What have we done wrong to these people’” asked one of the wounded, John Tariq, referring to the attackers. “Why are we being killed?”
PESHAWAR: At least 60 people were killed and more than 120 including women and children were injured in twin suicide blasts in Qissa Khawani bazaar of Peshawar, Geo News reported.
Sources said suicide bombers blew themselves up outside Kohati gate near the Pakistan Church.
Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have cordoned off the area after the blast.
Chief Executive Leady Reading Hospital (LRH) has confirmed killing of 56 people in the blasts.
Emergency has been declared in the LRH.
The eyewitnesses said the worshipers were leaving the Church when the blast occurred. More than 500 people were present in the Church at the time of suicide attack.

Pledge of Allegiance Goes on Trial in Massachusetts … Atheist Couple Looks to strike the Words “Under God”
When is this nonsense going to stop on the part of Atheists?
An Atheist couple filed, anonymously on behalf of their three children, with the state Supreme Court Judicial Court to strike the words “Under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. Wow, these heroes filed it anonymously. What’s the matter, can’t stand behind your beliefs? The fact that they did this on behalf of their 3 children., really? They did this on behalf of themselves, using this children as human shields. When is this BS going to end? What will be next, striking “endowed by Our Creator” and “God” from the Declaration of Independence?
Below is Red Skelton’s brilliant rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance. Skelton says at the 3:52 mark. “… and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance, Under God. Wouldn’t it be a pity if some one said that was a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too?” It would appear that Red Skelton was a sage.
The state Supreme Judicial Court will begin hearing arguments this week in an atheist Acton couple’s quest to strike the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance their children say in the Acton-Boxboro Regional School District.
The couple’s suit, filed anonymously on behalf of their three children, goes to the SJC tomorrow, with a pair of Washington, D.C., activist organizations ?taking part in the proceedings.
“We feel confident that our arguments are the right ones, and we’re certainly hopeful that they’re persuasive to the justices,” said Eric Rassbach, deputy general counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which is arguing on behalf of the school district. “We represent some kids that are actually in the Acton-Boxboro School District that would like to keep saying the pledge.”
A note to Atheists, the US Constitution provides a Freedom of Religion, not a Freedom from religion.
