Pledge of Allegiance Goes on Trial in Massachusetts … Atheist Couple Looks to strike the Words “Under God”

When is this nonsense going to stop on the part of Atheists?

An Atheist couple filed, anonymously on behalf of their three children, with the state Supreme Court Judicial Court to strike the words “Under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. Wow, these heroes filed it anonymously. What’s the matter, can’t stand behind your beliefs? The fact that they did this on behalf of their 3 children., really? They did this on behalf of themselves, using this children as human shields.  When is this BS going to end? What will be next, striking “endowed by Our Creator” and “God” from the Declaration of Independence?

Below is Red Skelton’s brilliant rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance. Skelton says at the 3:52 mark. “… and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance, Under God. Wouldn’t it be a pity if some one said that was a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too?” It would appear that Red Skelton was a sage.

The state Supreme Judicial Court will begin hearing arguments this week in an atheist Acton couple’s quest to strike the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance their children say in the Acton-Boxboro Regional School District.

The couple’s suit, filed anonymously on behalf of their three children, goes to the SJC tomorrow, with a pair of Washington, D.C., activist organizations ?taking part in the proceedings.

“We feel confident that our arguments are the right ones, and we’re certainly hopeful that they’re persuasive to the justices,” said Eric Rassbach, deputy general counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which is arguing on behalf of the school district. “We represent some kids that are actually in the Acton-Boxboro School District that would like to keep saying the pledge.”

A note to Atheists, the US Constitution provides a Freedom of Religion, not a Freedom from religion.

Are You Kidding Me … Senator John McCain (R-AZ) Says Shouting ‘Allahu Akhbar!’ the Same as Christians Shouting ‘Thank God!’

NO HE DIDN’T … This is what political correctness gets you, a RINO politician making a comparison as absurd as it gets … Sure it is Senator McCain and Islam is a religion of peace as well.

As reported at Breitbart, this morning on ‘Fox & Friends’ Senator  John McCain (R-AZ) got indignant when suggested Fox News host Brian Kilmeade said he had a problem with Syrian opposition groups shouting “Allahu Akhbar! Allahu Akhbar!” as rockets hit government offices demonstrated Islamist influence among the opposition. McRINO actually said the following, that shouting ‘Allahu Akhbar!’ was the same as Christians shouting ‘Thank God!’ WOW, just WOW. Suddenly, everyone is a “moderate” Muslim to McCain. The Syrian freedom fighters, the Muslim Brotherhood, all good moderate Muslims. Exactly whose side is this guy on?

OK you senile SOB, how dare you. This fossil needs to be sent packing. A note to the moron senator from Arizona, when Christians thank God it is in thanks to Our Creator, not an affirmation to murder and martyrdom in the name of Allah. Good grief, you are an evil, demented little man.

“I have a problem helping those people screaming that after a hit,” Kilmeade said. McCain responded: “Would you have a problem with an American or Christians saying ‘thank God? Thank God?’” He added, “That’s what they’re saying. Come on! Of course they’re Muslims, but they’re moderates and I guarantee you they are moderates.” McCain provided no evidence to suggest that Syrian opposition groups are moderate, as opposed to the wide swath of evidence suggesting that the opposition is heavily infested with al Qaeda.

Just curious when was the last time you heard a Christan say thank God as he cut off some one’s head?

UPDATE I: From the Right Scoop … Mark Levin rips McCain a new one with his idiot comment about comparing ‘Allahu Akhbar!’ to ‘Thank God’.

Valedictorian Roy Costner IV Rips Up Speech and Then Recites The Lord’s Prayer at Liberty High School in South Carolina

This is what leadership and character is about, standing up for one’s principles and beliefs, no matter what. There is hope for our future.

Roy Costner, the Liberty High School valedictorian, made a stand for the First Amendment, freedom of speech and freedom of religion and his religious beliefs and there was no government, school board, ACLU or anti-religious an atheist groups could do a damn thing about it. This is what leaders, character and heroes are made of. During his valedictorian speech at Liberty High School in South Carolina, 30 seconds into his faculty approved speech, Costner tore it up and ad-libbed it. Costner then began reciting the Lord’s Prayer, much to the shock of the school faculty and the applause from those in attendance. For all of you who think you have a right to have your 1st Amendment rights protected, by taking other’s away, you are wrong and clueless. And as for separation of Church and State, read the Constitution.

A special shout out to Roy Costner IV who dared stand up for his convictions and beliefs. In a time in which we are witness to adults in politics and government agency bureaucrats who have zero character, along comes this high school grad. He is our Scared Monkeys hero of the day.

AMEN BROTHER!!!

Watch the actual speech below from Valedictorian Roy Costner IV

Liberty High School valedictorian Roy Costner hadn’t been at the podium for more than 30 seconds when he tore up the speech he had gotten approved by the faculty and began reciting the Lord’s Prayer to thunderous applause.

Patrick Elliott with the Freedom From Religion Foundation says they have received complaints about the district in South Carolina in the past for having student-led prayers at school board meetings.

So they wrote to them and asked them to stop.

“Sometimes people think, ‘majority rules’ but that’s not really the case with a constitutional right. So students do have the right to attend school without the school promoting or endorsing religion even if you know a large amount of people in the community would hope that the school would do so,” Elliott said.

Easter Sunday, a Day of Rest … Not For Democrat as Obama, Pelosi, McAuliffe Issue Easter Sunday Fundraising Appeals

What ever happened to separation of Church and State?

The Democrats just have no shame and no understanding that there needs to be a day of rest from their political begging for money. Sunday, a day of rest from the political beg for money? Nope, not for Democrats. Then again, they believe that Democrat party politics is a religion. As reported at the Washington Times, at least three top party officials dispatched fundraising emails Sunday.  They went so far as to have the DCCC send out an updated fundraising email  from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that didn’t even mention Easter … “We could really do this! If we can hit 200,000 donations before tonight’s FEC deadline, it would send a blistering message to Speaker Boehner and the Republicans. Donate $3 before MIDNIGHT and your gift will be triple-matched.”  Good grief, give it a rest.  What would Jesus say?

Easter Sunday is not a day of rest for the Democrats’ moneychangers. At least three top party officials dispatched fundraising emails Sunday in their bid to reach loyal Democrats in between church and Easter dinner.

It’s just the latest sign that politics and fundraising have become as regular as shopping at Sears or Walmart, which also open on Easter.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Sunday morning sent out an updated fundraising note from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that didn’t even mention Easter.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) says Democrats are “in the red” and are broke. That’s ok Debbie, thanks to Barack Obama and Democrats, so is America.

How Easter-like … Obama’s Church Pastor Plays Race Card against Right During Easter Service

What would Jesus say, certainly not these shameful, divisive comments …

President Barack Obama and the First family attended Easter service  at St. John’s Episcopal Church in DC. ABC News reports that the sermon turned slightly political when Leon said there are some members of the religious right who are trying to pull people back rather than letting them move forward. SLIGHTLY POLITCAL? A pastor plays the race card and that is only slightly political for of all things an Easter service sermon?. One can imagine what is overly political. However, what a better religious-political message with Obama, the “Divider” in Chief in attendance.

The captains of the religious right are always calling us back, back, back. For blacks to be back in the back of the bus, for women to be back in the kitchen, for gays to be in the closet and for immigrants  to be on their side of the border,” Leon said. “What you and I understand is that when Jesus says you can’t hang onto me, he says you know it’s not about the past, it’s not about the before, it’s not about the way things were but about the way things can be in the now.”

Hmm, some words seem to be missing, but what else would one expect from the liberal MSM who thinks playing the race card. More from the Right Scoop as to what Barack Obama and his family listened to as they sat in the pews on Easter Sunday. How very sad that this be the message of hope, resurrection and rebirth in an Easter service.

As Jesus told Mary not to hold on to the past, “You cannot go back.”

“It drives me crazy when the captains of the religious right are always calling us back … for blacks to be back in the back of the bus … for women to be back in the kitchen … for immigrants to be back on their side of the border.”

“The message of Easter is about the power of love over loveless power.”

Of course Barack Obama just sat attentively in his Sunday best listening to this divisive bullsh*t and thought nothing of it.  But what else would we expect from a man who attended the church of Reverend Wright for 20 years and his racist, anti-American rants and thought nothing of that ether.

A note to this misguided pastor and to all else who want to blame others for their plight in life or just wish to blame others just to cause division, take a real good look who is holding you back, put you back on the plantation or at the back of the bus. Who is making you dependent on the government rather than those who want you to be all that you can be? Who is calling for blacks to go to the back of the bus or that woman have to be in the kitchen? Seriously, who? As for immigrants to stay on their side of the border, I think many are calling for the laws of the United States to be enforced and “ILLEGALS” to be dealt with accordingly. I wonder what Jesus would say when the Church becomes a propaganda tool of a the government?
