After 25 Years It’s Pay Up time for Tawana Brawley, the 1987 Rape Hoaxer Finally Pays the Piper for Slander … Al Sharpton Still Race-Baiting & Going Strong

FLASH FORWARD 25 YEARS AND AL SHARPTON IS GOING THE SAME THING HE DID WITH TAWANA BRAWLEY, FANNING THE FLAMES … 

Twenty five years after falsely accusing an innocent man of rape, Tawana Brawley is finally paying the piper for her lies. Brawley owes Pagones $431,000 in damages for her slander and is now forced to pay Pagones $627 each month, possibly for the rest of her life. A Virginia court ordered Brawley to pay this money after she had been found hiding from her lies and her past living under the assumed name of Tawana Vacenia Thompson Gutierrez in Hopewell, VA. You can run, but you cannot hide. However, isn’t it something that Sharpton never had to hide … he made a living off of this sordid, terrible incident.

Twenty-five years after accusing an innocent man of rape, Tawana Brawley is finally paying for her lies.

Last week, 10 checks totaling $3,764.61 were delivered to ex-prosecutor Steven Pagones — the first payments Brawley has made since a court determined in 1998 that she defamed him with her vicious hoax.

A Virginia court this year ordered the money garnisheed from six months of Brawley’s wages as a nurse there.

She still owes Pagones $431,000 in damages. And she remains defiantly unapologetic.

“It’s a long time coming,” said Pagones, 52, who to this day is more interested in extracting a confession from Brawley than cash.

Isn’t it something though that a race-baitor like Al Sharpton never really had to pay a price for his involvement in this rotten and cruel hoax perpetrated on Pagones? Brawley’s advisers in the infamous race-baiting case, the Rev. Al Sharpton, and attorneys C. Vernon Mason and Alton Maddox, have already paid, or are paying, their defamation debt. However, they never really faced real justice for their reprehensible actions. As Weasel Zippers opines, “Well, you [Al Sharpton] never had to hide, someone else pays your court judgment, you continue to race-bait and you get a job on MSNBC. Take a good look at the NY Post story as to what Al Sharpton, Maddox and Mason did and was allowed to get away with it. They exploited the false rape story of a 15 year old girl to help fan the flames of racism. Flash-forward to present day and Sharpton is once again fanning the flames as he leaches on to the death of 17 year old black teen Trayvon Martin and exploits it for his personal gain. Are you sensing a pattern? Why is this allowed to happen? Because no one calls Sharpton for what he truly is. Well, maybe not no one. During a talking point on ‘The Factor’ Bill O’Reilly ripped the race-hustler and profiteer Sharpton for what he really was and pointed out the real problems that face the black community.

She was only 15 when she claimed she was the victim of a crime whose shocking brutality sparked a national outrage and stoked racial tensions.

The two-decade-long saga that nearly ruined Pagones’ life and career began on Nov. 28, 1987, when Brawley was found in a trash bag, with the words “n—-r” and “b—h” scrawled on her body in feces.

Firebrands Maddox and Mason and a relatively unknown Sharpton jumped into the fray. Within weeks, a suspect emerged — Fishkill Police Officer Harry Crist Jr., who had been found dead in his apartment three days after the Brawley “attack.”

But Pagones, a Dutchess County prosecutor at the time, defended his dead friend Crist, offering an alibi for the cop — they were Christmas-shopping together on one of the days in question. And on the three other days of the “kidnapping,” Crist was on patrol, working at his other job at IBM, and installing insulation in an attic.

Brawley’s handlers then claimed — without proof — that Pagones was part of the white mob that kidnapped and raped the girl 33 times.

Post-Zimmerman Murder Trial: CNN and HLN Sink Like a Rock … CNN Drops 32% in Viewership and HLN Falls 50%

Following the George Zimmerman murder trial, both CNN and HLN plummet back down to earth as CNN drops 32% in viewership and HLN falls 50%.

Obviously networks that devoted time to the George Zimmerman murder trial were going to see a gain in viewership during the trial. Both CNN and HLN did so. CNN showed the trial during the day, although many individuals most likely watched the live feeds on the internet from local Florida media. HLN also devoted a lot of time during the Zimmerman trial because many of their shows are crime related. It only made sense that their ratings would have increased, much the same they did during the Casey Anthony murder trail. I actually have to disagree, for one of the few times, with Breitbart’s analysis of the loss of viewership following the Zimmerman trial. The reason why CNN and HLN experienced a severe drop in viewership was not because of Nancy Grace and her anti-Zimmerman sentiment or that CNN lost viewers because of their refusal to call Zimmerman a Hispanic. It was not because many of the hosts and guests openly rooted against Zimmerman or continued to falsely call the murder of Trayvon Martin a racial hate crime. This was not a case of losing viewers during the trial, it was not until after.

The reason why CNN and HLN lost viewers is simple. It is the same reason why they gained them. Both networks devoted much of their air time to a news story that many people wanted to watch. Obviously people were going to tune in to the daily trial and then watch the follow up of the pundits discussing the days activities, jury testimony, evidence presented, hosts opinions, guest analysis and court room antics. It only makes sense that when the carnival comes to town, people attend. However, when it is over, so is the viewership. People were interested in the trial, not post trial. That always happens when ever any big time trial plays on on TV. When the trial is over, the networks viewership sinks back to what they previously were prior to the inflated one’s caused by the trial in the first place. No matter the fact that Nancy Grace, Jane Velez-Mitchell, CNN and HLN wanted to cling on to their new found ratings even after the trial was over was not going to happen. In the end, it is simply a matter of supply and demand.

Considering their previous lows, both CNN and HLN enjoyed respectable viewer gains in the month of July, but the latest ratings that look at a full week of post-Zimmerman trial viewership shows that both networks might be falling back to earth. TV Newser reports that last week, CNN saw its viewership plummet -32%. HLN fared even worse with a -50% drop-off.

Fox News, however, continues to dominate its cable news competition. In all of cable, Fox beat CNN and MSNBC combined during primetime and ranked 4th in total primetime viewers, behind only the USA Network, TNT, and the History Channel.

In total day viewers, Fox News ranked 5th in all of cable.

TV Newser reports that “CNN placed 36th in primetime and 31st in total day, while MSNBC placed 32nd in both categories.”

HLN did not rank in the top 40.

Tax Cheat Democrat Charlie Rangel Says Tea Party Bunch of “White Crackers” & Compares Republicans to al Qaeda Terrorists

Where is the outrage, where are the calls for an apology as Democrat Charles Rangel compares the Tea Party to a bunch of “white crackers” and compared the GOP to al Qaeda Terrorists?

So this is what it has come to in the United States? A tax cheat like New York Representative Charles Rangel is allowed to use a racial slur regarding the Tea Party, referring to them as a “white crackers” with no outrage or punishment, yet an athlete like the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles receiver Riley Cooper uses the “N” word and is publican enemy #1, ripped to shreds in the media and in social media and is forced to take sensitivity training? Rangel made matters even worse as he compared the Republican party to al Qaeda terrorist. Really? Is this what we allow our elected leaders to act like? Could Rangel be any more irresponsible or ignorant?

Is this what the Democrat party has become? Referring to those you disagree with as crackers or terrorists? Seriously. How does anyone get away with this? How does Rangel even have a job at this point? But this is what political discourse has become these days. If you are black, you get away with calling others a racists or call them crackers with no accountability. But foolishly and ignorantly use the “N” word and your career is over. Heck, George Zimmerman became a “white” Hispanic so that the race-baiters could go after him and make the death of Trayvon Martin a Civil Rights case, when it was not. It is a sad state of affairs and people like Rangel just make matters worse.

He sees in some of the reluctance to move forward on immigration reform a fear, one that white people have of non-whites.

“Every white son of a gun from Europe has found a way to get here, and these barriers I think have a lot to do with color and the awkwardness or the uncomfortableness that a lot of whites feel about people of color,” Rangel said.

Asked, though, why black congressmen, who have traditionally resisted liberalized immigration laws, are now supportive of them, Rangel rejected the premise. “You are not going to go back to Abe Lincoln now and that bullshit are you? Blacks were tied to Abe, who freed the slaves, and so we followed the Republicans”—and called on all segments of society, including the Democratic Party, including religious institutions, to do more to help the downtrodden.

Just curious, how come Rangel is not more concerned about black unemployment at record highs or black on black crime that is at epidemic levels? Instead, it’s more about the hate and division.

Good Grief … Rev. Jesse Jackson Calls Florida the ‘Selma of our time’ … What an Insult to Selma, AL!

What an insult to Selma, Alabama.

The race-baiter Jesse Jackson compared Florida and their “stand your ground” to the civil rights marches that took place in Selma, AL and called it, “the Selma of our time”. Really Rev. Jackson, really? Florida Gov. Rick Scott asked for an apology to the insult to Floridians. However, I disagree. It is not Floridians who should be asking for the apology, it is those from Selma, Alabama who should demand the apology.  The murder trial of George Zimmerman, in which he was found not guilty in the murder of Trayvon Martin, had nothing to do with “stand your ground” laws. It was just simple self-defense. However, that had not prevented as Bill O’Reilly refers to Jackson as the race hustlers hijacking Trayvon’s death and memory. Worse yet, they are making a mockery out of real civil rights in the United States like Selma, Alabama and the Selma to Montgomery marches, also known as Bloody Sunday and the two marches that followed. It is those that marched in Selma who Jesse Jackson owes an apology to.

Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday accused Rev. Jesse Jackson of insulting Floridians with a series of reckless and divisive statements about the state and its “stand your ground” self-defense law.

While visiting the state Capitol Tuesday, Jackson talked about efforts to repeal the law and used the phrase “Selma of our time” — a reference to civil rights marches in Alabama that helped prompt change in the 1960s.

In a July 18 exchange on CNN, Jackson talked about an economic boycott to “isolate Florida as a kind of apartheid state given this whole stand your ground laws.”

Scott denounced both comments and demanded an apology, saying the longtime civil rights leader’s words “insult Floridians and divide our state at a time when we are striving for unity and healing.”

It is pathetic that Rev. Jesse Jackson would trivialize the actual Civil Rights movement of the 1960′s to continue to attempt to be relevant and turn a profit. Weasel Zippers‘ title says it best, Jesse Jackson is  ‘Compares Gov. Rick Scott To Segregationist George Wallace’? Pathetic indeed.

George Zimmerman Pulled Over by Police for Speeding in Forney, Texas … Told Officers he had Gun in Car

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who was recently found not guilty in the murder of Trayvom Martin in Sanford, FL, was pulled over by police for speeding in  Forney, Texas. The entire incident was caught on the police dash cam. Upon being pulled over, Zimmerman made the Forney police officer aware of a firearm in his glove compartment at the beginning of the stop. Initially the officer did not realize who Zimmerman was. That was until Zimmerman said to the officer, “You didn’t see my name?” In the end, Zimmerman was given a waring.

According to the police dashcam video obtained by inForney.com, Zimmerman made the Forney police officer aware of a firearm in his glove compartment at the beginning of the stop. After revealing the firearm, the police officer asked where Zimmerman was heading. Zimmerman replied, “nowhere in particular.” “Nowhere in particular, why is that?” responded the officer. “You didn’t see my name?” said Zimmerman. The officer then responded, “wow, what a coincidence.”

The officer then asked if he was clear of warrants to which Zimmerman replied, “absolutely.”

While being questioned by the officer, Zimmerman, who was driving a 2008 Honda pick-up with Florida plates, told the officer that he was armed and was instructed to keep the gun in the car’s glove-compartment.

The officer issued Zimmerman a warning for speeding and then sent him on his way – but not before asking him where he was going, to which he replied ‘nowhere in particular’.

‘Nowhere in particular, why is that?’ responded the officer according to In Forney.com

‘You didn’t see my name?’ said Zimmerman. The officer then responded, ‘wow, what a coincidence.’

The officer then inquired if Zimmerman was free of any warrants for arrest, to which Zimmerman replied, ‘absolutely’.

‘Alright, I’m gonna go back and just check you, routinely,’ said the officer as he checked Zimmerman’s proof of insurance and a driver’s license.

‘The reason you were stopped was for your speed, why don’t you slow down a little bit for me and, as long as you don’t have any warrants, I’ll cut you loose with a warning,’ said the officer to Zimmerman according to In Forney.com.

‘Just take it easy, go ahead and shut your glove compartment and don’t play with your firearm, ok?’

The traffic stop according to InForney.Com lasted approximately five minutes and after being given a warning, Zimmerman was sent on his way – being wished ‘a safe trip’ by the officer.
