Mitt Romney Has Big Clean Sweep in Tonight’s GOP Primaries … Wins CT, DE, NY, PA & RI … Former Mass. Governor Says “A Better America Begins Tonight”

Mitt Romney wins big, no huge, tonight in the GOP Primaries in Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode island. In the end, it was not even close. Romney thanks those in the five primary states he won this evening. The GOP primary is officially over. The Mittster gave a victory speech tonight that was full of optimism, a welcome change from the negative and divisive class warfare from Barack Obama.

“I see an America with a growing middle class, with rising standards of living,” Romney will say. “I see children even more successful than their parents — some successful even beyond their wildest dreams — and others congratulating them for their achievement, not attacking them for it.”

RHODE ISLAND: With 99% of the vote counted, Romney 63%, Paul  24%, Gingrich 6%.

PENNSYLVANIA: With 66% of the votes counted, Romney 56%, Paul 13%, Gingrich 11%. Some thought that a narrow Romney victory in PA would be embarrassing to Mitt seeing that Santorum had previously dropped out of the race. The pundits got that one wrong too.

NEW YORK: With 7% of the vote counted NY has been called for Romney … Romney 56%, Paul 16%, Gingrich 16%.

CONNECTICUT: With 65% of the votes counted, Romney 67%, Paul 14%, Gingrich 10%.

DELAWARE: With 98% of the vote counted, Romney wins huge in DE, a states that some so-called pundits actually thought Gingrich might win. Romney 57%, Gingrich 27%, Paul 10%.

UPDATE I: Mitt Romney nailed his speech tonight. Romney connected with so many Americans, whether they be Republicans, Democrats or Independents when he said … “Americans are tired of being tired.” BINGO!!!

Romney used the line of the late, great Ronald Reagan, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” – Romney sought to appeal to average Americans. Mitt Romney just wowed them with his speech in Manchester, NH after his impressive 5 state primary victory. For the first time since the outset of the GOP Primaries, Romney truly sounded Presidential, went after Obama’s failed agenda and offered a positive vision for the future.

UPDATE II: Mitt Romney’s Speech: “A Better America Begins Tonight”

Americans have always been eternal optimists. But over the last three and a half years, we have seen hopes and dreams diminished by false promises and weak leadership. Everywhere I go, Americans are tired of being tired, and many of those who are fortunate enough to have a job are working harder for less.

For every single mom who feels heartbroken when she has to explain to her kids that she needs to take a second job … for grandparents who can’t afford the gas to visit their grandchildren … for the mom and dad who never thought they’d be on food stamps … for the small business owner desperately cutting back just to keep the doors open one more month – to all of the thousands of good and decent Americans I’ve met who want nothing more than a better chance, a fighting chance, to all of you, I have a simple message: Hold on a little longer. A better America begins tonight.

Tonight is the start of a new campaign to unite every American who knows in their heart that we can do better! The last few years have been the best that Barack Obama can do, but it’s not the best America can do!

Gallup: Romney Leads Obama in First Tracking Poll … Mitt Says for the Obama’s to Start Packing

ROMNEY TO OBAMA’s, “START PACKING” …

Isn’t this interesting, presumptive GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney leads Barack Obama in the first Gallup 2012 Presidential tracking poll, 47% to 45%. The though by many pundits was that Romney was going to be damaged goods coming out of the bitterly fought GOP Presidential primaries. That appears not to be the case. Although this is early polling, it is hardly a good thing for Obama’s reelection bid to be even or behind Romney. Another important nugget from this Gallup poll is that Romney leads Obama by 6 points with Independents.

The race breaks down into the expected patterns by party, with 90% of Democrats supporting Obama, and 90% of Republicans supporting Romney. The Republican results show that despite the rancor and divisiveness of the Republican campaign, the vast majority of Republicans are backing Romney in the head-to-head battle with Obama, as they have in ballot tests earlier this year.

The crucial voting bloc of independents breaks toward Romney by 45% to 39%, giving the GOP challenger his slight overall edge.

According to this Gallup poll, a greater percentage of registered Republicans say that they will vote in the 2012 election as opposed to Democrats. The 4% advantage along with the lead with Independents might just give Romney the chance to tell Barack Obama to “start packing”.

With the surprising Gallup poll numbers, Obama’s MSM minions felt the need to promote polls that embrace Obama by wide margins. RCP has the average of early polling between Obama and Romney. Sorry, but the polls I generally have trust in with proven track records are Rasmussen, Gallup, Fox News. When election day comes people will ask themselves if they can afford another 4 years of Obama’s “incredibly effective” economic policies or whether they think Obama is an “unmitigated disaster”.

Turbo Tax Cheat Timmy Geithner Praises Obamanomics … President Obama’s Economic Policies “Were Incredibly Effective”

WHAT ALTERNATE UNIVERSE DO THESE PEOPLE LIVE IN … OBAMA’S ECONOMIC POLICIES EFFECTIVE, BUT ROMNEY IS RIDICULOUS …

WOW, talk about an Obama White House with some balls and complete disdain for “We the People”.  Was it lost on anyone today that the Obama WH trotted out a tax cheat like Treasury Secretary “Turbo Tax” Tim Geithner to be the mouth piece for Obama on April 15th, tax day?

Really, “Obama’s economic policies have been incredibly effective” &  I blame all my ills  n Turbo Tax

It gets better, or worse as the case may be. In an interview on ABC’s ‘This Week’ with George Stephanopoulos, Tim Geithner called Romney’s argument that women have been disproportionately hurt during the recession “a ridiculous argument”. Really? The numbers are accurate, yet the Obamaites continue the spin. What is even more unbelievable is that the Obama WH is continuing the failed “war on women” meme. But, as also stated at Jammie Wearing Fool, when one has nothing else to run on but failed polices, a distraction is all Obama has.

“It’s a ridiculous argument. Ridiculous. It’s been largely debunked this week by the people who have looked at it,” Geithner told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This Week. “It’s a ridiculous way to look at the problem. And this is a political moment and you’re going to be seeing — just to borrow a line from Mario Cuomo — ‘you’re going to see a lot of politicians choose to campaign in fiction, but we have to govern in fact.’”

While “Turbo Tax” Timmy is on the subject of ridiculous, what would anyone call it when some one says that Barack Obama’s economic polices have been incredibly effective? Seriously Mr. Treasury Secretary, one has to wonder how you kept a straight face when making such a false and foolish comment.

49% of Americans Trust Romney with the Economy, Only 39% Trust President Obama’s Obamanomics

Obamanomics a bust: When reviewing the #1 issue for the 2012 elections, only 39% trust Obama with the economy …

President Barack Obama has a huge obstacle to overcome with regards to the state of the US economy and his reelection chances in 2012. The economy/jobs is the number one issue and Obama’s policies have been found wanting.  Obama’s first term in office has been a disaster when it comes to the economy, jobs and spending.  In a recent Rasmussen poll, 49% of Americans trust Romney when it comes to the US economy, only a mere 39% trust Obama.

Voters now have more confidence in presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney than in President Obama when it comes to the economy, but on other major issues facing the nation, the two men continue to run nearly even.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey asks Likely U.S. Voters whom they trust more on five key issues, and when it comes to the economy, 49% say Romney versus 39% who trust the president more. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

With an unemployment rate still at 8.2%, a poor showing of job creation in March 2012, an unsustainable record federal debt, waisted tax payer dollars with the Obama stimulus and a failed green energy agenda that has invested a lot of govt $’s with few jobs to show, is it any wonder why few have faith in Obama when it comes to the economy. Add to the discussion that the true unemployment rate is closer to 12% and the underemployment rate to a high of 20.3%

What is the #2 issue for voters, health care of course. When it comes to Obamacare, a new high of 61% expect the government take over of healthcare to be repealed. As the US Supreme Court reviews the Constitutionality, 54% of voters expect the SCOTUS to overturn Obamacare.

Obama’s War on Women … Democrat Political Advier Hilary Rosen Attacks Mitt Romney’s Wife for being a Stay at Home Mom … “his wife has actually never worked a day in her life”

OBAMA’S WAR ON WOMEN …

Attention Women of America … Who is it that has a “War on Women”? It was the Barack Obama campaign that went on a full frontal assault on women and attacked Mitt Romney’s wife last night on CNN. Democratic strategist and DNC adviser Hilary Rosen stated that, “his wife [Ann] never worked a day in her life. So what do Democrats have against “stay at home” moms who raise their children?

Ann Romney’s debut on Twitter couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.

Ann’s first tweet came just moments after Democratic strategist and DNC adviser Hilary Rosen lobbed an insult at Ann Romney, suggesting that the 64-year-old mother of five and grandmother of 16 had never held a job.

From her Twitter page

“Guess what, his wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” said Rosen, who was being interviewed by CNN’s Anderson Cooper about the “war on women.”

And then, just like that, a familiar name popped up on Twitter: @AnnDRomney.

“I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work,” Ann tweeted.

More from the Daily Caller.

Think Obama and his minions do not think that Ann Romney is a great asset to her husband Mitt in the upcoming Presidential election? Why else would Obama’s attack dogs go after her and try and minimize her as a women? How pathetic and low is the Obama campaign for doing such a thong?

Top Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod also tweeted his disapproval: “Also Disappointed in Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. They were inappropriate and offensive.”

Following the interview, Rosen herself tweeted, “I’ve nothing against @AnnRomney. I just don’t want Mitt using her as an expert on women struggling $ to support their family. She isn’t.”

Rosen kept tweeting, not appearing to back off of her comments.

“@AnnDRomney Please know, I admire you. But your husband shouldn’t say you are his expert on women and the economy,” said Rosen.
