The Obama Convention Bounce is Gone … Obama Gallup Poll Lead Down to 1 Over Romney
Where has the Obama Democrat Convention bounce go? Can you say it’s completely gone the way of the DoDo bird. The most recent Gallup tracking poll has President Barack Obama with only a 1 point lead over Mitt Romney, far within the margin of error and basically a statistical tie. Not only has Obama’s lead fallen, so has his approval rating. What happened to that great Obama convention bounce? To paraphrase as one of my favorite obscure 1980′s bands Chilliwack:
Gone gone gone, its been gone so long
Its been gone gone gone so long
Gone gone gone, its been gone so long
Its been gone gone gone so long
Gone gone gone, its been gone so long
gone gone gone so long
As reported at The Hill, Obama’s 7% lead following the DNC convention is gone. Can you say “vanished” without a trace!
Obama’s lead widened to 7 points in the days following the Charlotte, N.C., convention earlier this month, but Tuesday’s data show the race returning the level where it’s been throughout most of the contest.
Prior to the conventions, Gallup’s poll had been almost completely static, with each candidate averaging 46 percent since May.
The president’s approval rating also dipped back below 50 percent for the first time since the convention.
Forty-nine percent said they approve of the job the president is doing, compared to 45 who say they disapprove. That’s still slightly better than the last few months, when Obama hovered around break-even and occasionally dipped into negative territory.

Return of the Jedi … Mitt Romney Responds to Leaked Fundraiser Video & Points Out Difference of His Vision and Obama’s Failed Economic Policies … Remember what Alexis de Tocqueville Said
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”
Alexis de Tocqueville
Mitt Romney responds to the tape that was leaked at Mother Jones and comments on what he meant when he referenced the 47%. Romney stood by his comments and why not? Does anyone not think there are differences between the two candidates? Does anyone not think that Reelect Obama is not parsing out voting blacks and seeing what Democrat traditional voting blacks will be there for them in November? Romney stated that Obama starts out with 47, 48, 49 percent who will vote for him no matter what. He then said that he does the same, or at least he hoped so. Romney described the Q & A session where it was his job to appeal to some who voted for Obama last time and who were in the middle.
It should hardly come as a shock to Obama, Democrats, Liberals or the corrupt liberal media complex that those who do not presently pay taxes are hardly going to be swayed by Romney’s promises of lowering tax rates. Those who have become permantly entrenched in government dependence will vote for big government Obama. Nuthing from nuthin is still nuthin.
“Of course, there’s a very different approach of the two campaigns. As I point out that among those that pay no tax, approximately 47% of Americans, I’m not likely to be highly successful with a message of lowering taxes. That’s not as attractive to those who don’t pay income taxes as to those who do. And likewise, those who are reliant on government are not as attracted to my message of slimming down the size of government…
The president and I have two very different approaches to the future of America and what it takes to ignite our economy and put people back to work. The president believes in what I describe as a government centered society. Where government plays a larger and larger role and plays more and more of the needs of individuals. And, I happen to believe instead in a free enterprise, free individual society where people pursuing their dreams are able to employ one another, build enterprises, build the strongest economy in the world. I happen to believe that my approach is the approach that will put 23 million people back to work again.
We’ve watched the approach of the president’s approach over the last 3 1/2 or 4 years. And his government centric, larger and larger government approach has meant that we have 15 million more people on food stamps, 23 million people out of work or stopped looking for work, or underemployed. We have had 43 straight months of unemployment above 8%. And my view is the right approach for the nation is not to adopt a government centered approach but instead a free, free people, free enterprise, free market consumer driven approach and that will build the strongest economy for ourselves and for the coming generations.”
In the end a line has to be drawn. Obama, Biden and Democrats talk so much about it being Patriotic to pay taxes. So does that mean that Obama and Biden are saying that the 47% who do not pay taxes are Un-Patriotic? That would be the meme if a GOP President or VP had made such a comment.
Make no mistake about it America, you have two choices in 2012 … a free America where all have an opportunity to succeed and those most vulnerable are protected or a Big Government Nanny state where you can be average, kept and in servitude to the government. Its Your choice.
Democrat Kirstin Powers Blasts Obama and Bias Media After Mideast Embassy Attacks … More Outrage over Romney’s Comments Than Embassy Attack
When even the LEFT cannot take what the LEFT are doing …
KUDOS to Democrat Kristen Powers for having the honesty and integrity to blast the MSM for their collusion and mob attack against Mitt Romney for his statement following the US Embassy attacks and against the Obama Administration for their silence after the attacks. I was expecting Kristen to say at one point, “I yam what I yam ! and I’ve had all I can stand, I can’t stands no more!” Careful Kristen, you might have your press and moonbat credentials revoked.
Hat Tip: The Gateway Pundit
I give Christen Powers a lot of credit for going against and exposing the corrupt media complex who are in the pocket of Barack Obama and the Democrat party. She pointed out the obvious, but what is never said, the MSM had more outrage over Romney’s comments than they did for the fact that US Embassy’s were attacked, the US flag burned, Islamic flags flown over our embassies and four Americans killed, including the US Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.

Poll: Voters think Obama Would Beat Romney in a Fist Fight … Seriously, US Economy Going Off the Cliff and Middle East on Fire and We get This Disctraction?
Not only is the following poll beyond silly, it pretty much defies logic …
An Esquire/Yahoo News polled voters as to who would win a fist fight to settle the Presidential election. According to results Obama would win 58% to 22%. Really? Was Obama allowed to cheat and use brass knuckles while Romney’s hands were tied behind his back? Who were the judges in this hypothetical fistfight, the MSM? Not only is this foolishness intended to trivialize the 2012 Presidential election as the US economy is in the toilet and the Middle East is on fire, we get this silliness. BTW, does anyone really think that Obama could win a fist fight? This dude could not beat himself out of a wet paper bag. As Weasel Zippers states, ”
For real? I always figured the effeminate Obama had Mooch beat people up for him.”
Win a fist fight, eh?
If a fistfight could settle the presidential election, more people think President Obama would win than Mitt Romney, according to a new poll released Thursday.
When likely voters were asked “just for fun,” which candidate would win in a fistfight, 58 percent said Obama to 22 percent for Romney. Twenty percent had no opinion.
Esquire magazine and Yahoo! News commissioned the survey through Langer Research Associates. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. Slightly more Democrats were polled, according to the crosstabs.
I guess GWB would win the butt kicking poll 100% – 0%

Barack Obama, Leading from Behind … Obama Changes Schedule to Visit Louisiana, Guilted into It By Romney’s Visit to Gulf Coast to Tour Hurricane Isaac Damage
AMERICA, WE HAVE A JOKE OF A PRESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE … LEADING FROM BEHIND!
Sorry, Barack Obama is not a President, he is not a Commander in Chief, he is an empty suit, elected on the false promise of “Hope & Change” and would rather campaign and fund raise as opposed to doing his job. It has been said over and over that Barack Obama does not lead, he follows. Obama, the President of the United States leads from behind.During this weeks RNC Convention, former Secretary of State Condi Rice said in a tremendous speech, “we cannot lead from behind”. Guess who she was referring to?
And I know too that there is weariness – a sense that we have carried these burdens long enough. But if we are not inspired to lead again, one of two things will happen – no one will lead and that will foster chaos — or others who do not share our values will fill the vacuum. My fellow Americans, we do not have a choice. We cannot be reluctant to lead – and one cannot lead from behind.
Yesterday, we reported that following the Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney, the GOP Presidential nominee, adjusted his campaign schedule and decided to tour Louisiana and the Hurricane Isaac storm damaged areas and meet with the affected people. Romney said, “I’m here to learn and obviously to draw some attention to what’s going on here”. Romney would do this along side Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. So it begs the question, where is Obama? Many on the LEFT whined and complained that the GOP should cancel their convention in Tampa, FL because of Hurricane Isaac. Instead, the GOP delayed the convention by an day and managed to push 4 days of activities into 3. What did Obama do? Well he continued to campaign as usual. The GOP convention was three years in the planning, Obama’s campaigning and fundraising, not so much. Barack Obama was business as usual and went to his campaign stops, but Obama Says He Discussed Hurricane Isaac by Phone—From Plane. That’s mighty big of you. This coming from the “Hypocrite in Chief who criticized GWB for not visiting fast enough the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina hit.
Some one needs to explain to me, better yet explain to the affected Hurricane Isaac individuals of the Gulf Coast, how in the hell the President of the United States did not visit the devastated areas of Louisiana before the GOP nominee? Mitt Romney changes his schedule to show his concern and visit with those who were affected by Isaac before Obama? Exactly which one is the President? We all know who should and will be President, but this is disgraceful.Talk about your Obama, leading from behind.
