USA TODAY/Pew Poll: Americans Still Do Not Like, Nor Understand Obamacare

Remember when then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made the ridiculous comment, that we have to pass the bill (Obamacare) in order to find out what is in it? Well, all these years later and the American people still do not like it, nor do they understand it. Which begs the question, how in the HELL was Obama reelected? And why isn’t the GOP doing every meaningful thing to prevent this nightmare from being inflicted on the American people? With something so unpopular, why do Republican think they will be punished by the voters for doing so?

A recent USA TODAY/Pew poll shows that as much as ever “We the People” do not like Obamacare and also do not like how it is being implemented by Barack Obama and his minions. When Obama signed the law more than three years ago, supporters predicted Americans would embrace it. FAT CHANCE. The law is as unpopular as ever and the more Americans find out of the debacle, the worse support gets.

Opposition hits new highs: 53% disapprove of the health care law, the highest level since it was signed; 42% approve. By an even wider margin, intensity favors the opposition; 41% of those surveyed strongly disapprove while just 26% strongly approve. Fifty-three percent disapprove of Obama’s handling of health care policy, an historic high. And Democrats have lost their traditional advantage on the issue. For the first time in polling that stretches back more than two decades, Americans narrowly prefer Republicans in dealing with health care policy, 40%-39%.

A boost in approval for the law that followed the Supreme Court decision in July 2012 upholding most of its provisions, to 47% approve-43% disapprove, has disappeared.

Confusion continues: Only one in four say they understand the law’s impact on them and their families well while one-third say they have little or no understanding about how the law will work. Despite increasing education efforts by the administration, advocacy groups and some states, the percentage of Americans who don’t understand the law has declined only modestly, to 34% from 44%, since it was passed.

Even among those in the know — or perhaps especially among the informed — the Affordable Care Act remains unpopular, and opposition is deepening in two new polls released today.  The NBC/WSJ poll puts opposition in the plurality, but the trend lines are not improving for the White House.

Wall Street Journal/NBC News Poll Has Obama Job Approval Levels at Lowest Rating Since November 2011 … 45% Approve, 50% Disapprove

It is becoming a trend, President Barack Obama’s job approval ratings are sinking in multiple polls. The most recent is the Wall Street Journal/NBC poll that has Obama at  45% approval, 50% disapproval. The Hill is reporting that this is the lowest approval percentage for the president since November 2011. Obama has tried his hardest to blame GWB for everything during his presidency and now Obama has a direct comparison to W. The 45% approval rating is the same was former President George W. Bush had at the same stage of his second term. Ouch, how is the MSM going to spin that? Obama was supposed to be like Reagan, Lincoln and Kennedy … not George W. Bush.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released late Tuesday finds Obama with 45 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval.

Those numbers are down from the same poll taken in June when Obama had a positive 48-47 split.

It is the lowest approval percentage for the president since November 2011, when the poll found him with a 44 percent approval, 51 percent disapproval.

Obama’s rating matches the 45 percent approval former President George W. Bush had at the same stage of his second term. President Clinton scored a 56 percent approval rating at a similar point in his presidency, according to the Journal.

The Politico gleams an interesting nugget of data from the poll, support among blacks have fallen 10% from June and 15% drop from April.  Could it be that even the race-baiting that Obama has participated in with the aftermath of the George Zimmerman murder trial where he stated that Trayvon Martin could have been him 35 years ago. However, in the end blacks are more likely focused on the fact there are no jobs, the jobs that do exist are part time and the promises that Obama made about Obamacare were simply lip service to get reelected.

The poll’s numbers reflect Americans’ assessment of how Obama is handling the economy: Forty-four percent said they approved and 51 percent said they disapproved.

Pollsters also pointed to a drop in support among African-Americans as a possible explanation for Obama’s falling numbers, as 78 percent approve of Obama’s work, a 10 point drop since June and 15 point drop since April.

NBC News/WSJ Poll: National Rifle Association (NRA) More Popular than the Entertainment Industry.

A new NBC News/WSJ poll shows that the NRA is far more popular than the entertainment industry.  In the wake of the  Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting in Newtown, CT the poll finds that 41% of Americans see the NRA in a positive light, while only 34% view it in a negative light. However, only 24% have positive feelings about the entertainment industry, and 39%  have negative ones. A rather interesting comparison when one looks at President Barack Obama’s recent 23 executive orders on gun control, yet there were no references to anything to deal with curbing the violence spread by the entertainment industry with violence in TV, movies or print. But of course Obama has a chummy relationship with the entertainment industry and has given them a pass.

As Washington prepares for a political battle over the Obama White House’s proposals to curb gun violence after the Newtown, Conn., shootings, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds that the National Rifle Association is more popular than the entertainment industry.

Forty-one percent of adults see the NRA — the nation’s top gun lobby — in a positive light, while 34 percent view it in a negative light.

By comparison, just 24 percent have positive feelings about the entertainment industry, and 39 percent have negative ones.

The NRA’s fav/unfav score is virtually unchanged from its 41 percent-to-29 percent rating in the Jan. 2011 NBC/WSJ poll, nearly two years before the Newtown shootings.

New WSJ/NBC Poll has it a Tie Between Romney & Obama at 47% Among Likely Voters

So much for Barack Obama getting any bounce from the second Presidential debate after many stated he had won. A new WSJ/NBC poll  has the race a tow between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama at 47% a piece.In fact, not only did Obama not get a bounce from the second debate, Romney surged into a tie with Obama. This is the first time in this poll that Romney has pulled even with the president. We do not yet know what the poll sampling was for the latest poll, we will update when data becomes available.

Heading into Monday’s final debate and with just over two weeks until Election Day, President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are now tied nationally, according the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Obama and Romney both get 47 percent among likely voters in the latest edition of the poll, conducted entirely in the aftermath of the second presidential debate last Monday. In the last national NBC/WSJ poll, which was conducted before debate season began, the president held a narrow, three-point lead over his GOP challenger, 49 percent to 46 percent.

In the previous WSJ/NBC poll from 9/26-9/30, Obama was up +3 with a +6D sampling. Prior to that,  the WSJ/NBC poll for 9/12-9/16 Obama was up +5 with a +5D sampling. It is obvious that the polling trend is toward Romney.

Hot Air brings up the all important story from this latest poll. With an incumbent President just 16 days before an election polling only at 47% is terrible news for Team Obama. However, Obama is having serious issues with the gender gap for male and females as compared to his 2008 election victory.

Looking at some of the most important demographic groups, Romney leads among men (53 percent to 43 percent), Obama is up with women (51 percent to 43 percent) and they are essentially tied among voters in the Midwest.

However, as stated at Hot Air, it was a much different story when it came to the gender gap as Obama was +1 with men and +14with women.

In 2008, Obama won the election with a +14 gender gap over John McCain — +13 among women and +1 among men — on his way to a 7-point victory in the popular vote.  That advantage has now flipped to Romney, even in the Marist poll.  That’s a sixteen-point flip in the gap, and unless Obama expects a massive female turnout and massive male empathy on November 6th, it’s a very bad sign.

RCP has the race a tie as well; however, there are two skewed polls that should not even be considered and thrown out of the averaging. First,, the Hartford Courant/UCONN poll has Obama ahead by +3 has a sampling of +8D sampling. Second, the ABC/WAPO has Obama ahead by 3% with a poll sampling +9D. The IBD poll has to be questioned as well, Obama and Romney are basically tied with Democrats and Republicans; however, Romney is +10 with Independents. Yet some how Obama is ahead by 3%. How can that be except with a skewed over polling of Democrats?  Really folks, who honestly thinks this is valid? In other words, in the cases if the sampling was more in line to be realistic, Romney would be ahead in both polls. If these polls are discounted, as they should be, Romney would be ahead in the averaging of polls by 1.5%.

RISING CAIN … NBC/WSJ Poll: Herman Cain Leads the GOP Presidential Contenders

For those who say that Mitt Romney is a sure thing to win the Republican Presidential primary … not so fast! Could we possibly be saying President Herman Cain in 2012?

In the most recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll comes the following surprising result, Herman Cain leads the pack of GOP presidential contenders. Herman Cain, the former God Father’s pizza CEO garnered 27% of GOP voters,  for Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney 23% and Texas Governor Rick Perry 16%. Herman Cain is on a roll lately and has gained considerable momentum, Perry is sliding fast and Romney is polling sure and steady.  However, it is obvious that Cain is on a roll and has catapulted himself into the limelight and the GOP primary lead. Now it is a matter of can he sustain his new found support.

Cain checks in as the first choice of 27 percent of Republican voters in the poll, followed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at 23 percent and Perry at 16 percent. After those three, it’s Texas Rep. Ron Paul at 11 percent, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich at 8 percent, Bachmann at 5 percent and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman at 3 percent.

In the previous survey, conducted in late August, Perry led the field at 38 percent, Romney stood at 23 percent, while Cain was at only 5 percent.

“He isn’t a politician”

Cain’s numbers are sky-high among Republican primary voters. Fifty-two percent view him favorably, versus just 6 percent who see him unfavorably. Among Tea Party supporters, his favorable/unfavorable score is 69 percent to 5 percent. And among Republicans who identify themselves as “very conservative,” it’s 72 percent to 2 percent.

The full polling results can be seen HERE. The fact that Cain has never been a politician is resonating with the GOP voters. Imagine a Cain-Obama Presidential match up and BO trying to tell America he is a DC outsider because his campaign is based out of Chicago.

Doug Ross says, “Shhh… no one tell the Axis of Fail that Herman Cain is currently leading Mitt Romney in the polls, having jumped 22 points in the last six weeks.” However, the Legion of Gloom has gotten the memo as Democrats, the LEFT, the liberal MSM and black celebrities are on a full scale attack on Herman Cain.
