More Gaffes from the Smartest President Ever … President Barack Obama Calls the United States and Europe ‘Developing Countries’

MORE GAFFES FROM THE SMARTEST PRESIDENT EVER … IMAGINE HOW THE MSM WOULD HAVE RESPONDED IF GWB HAS SAID THE SAME?

As reported at the UK Telegraph,  who knew that the United States and Europe were developing countries? HUH? How on earth does a President of the United States refer to America as a developing country? In a recent interview with The New York Times with Barack Obama given in Galesburg, Illinois, the site of his unimpressive and politically partisan speech on the economy at Knox College last week, President Obama had the following to say to reporters Jackie Calmes and Michael D. Shear.

Obama_concerned

Oops, where’s my damn teleprompter?

And one of the interesting things that we don’t talk about enough is the contrast between what’s happened in the United States and what’s happened in a lot of other developing countries, Europe in particular. It’s pretty rare where we have the chance to look at two policy approaches and follow them over several years and see which one worked. And the fact is there are a lot of European countries who followed the prescription that the House Republicans are calling for right now, and not only have they lagged well below where we’ve gone in terms of growth, in many cases their debt and their deficits have actually gone up because their economy is still effectively in recession. And although we haven’t been growing as fast as we would like, we have consistently outperformed those countries that followed the recipe that the House Republicans are offering right now.

Could you imagine that the MSM’s reaction would have been if George W/ Bush made the same comment?

Hmm, the “Developing States of America”? Well, if Obama has his way and keeps it up in destroying the United States with his liberal agenda, open boarder for illegals, high taxes and high unemployment, Obama might just turn us into a developing country yet.

Half of Affordable Care Act Call Center Jobs Will be Part-Time and Will Come with No Health Benefits

The irony would be laughable, if the Obamacare lie was not so tragic and damaging to Americans who simply want to have a job that pays the bills.

Define Irony:  As one worker at the call center defined it as “Working for a call center and trying to help people get health care, but we can’t afford it ourselves.” The individual did so anonymously for fear of being fired.

Welcome to the nightmare, fraud and lie that is Obamacare. Half of the positions at the Contra Costa County, CA health care call center where workers will answer questions to help implement the president’s Affordable Care Act will be part time and have no health care benefits. You just can’t make this stuff up. What did these people think, that Obamacare would be a net positive? Since when has anything to do with Obamacare been a positive outcome? Some of the hired employees feel that they have been used as political tools. As Jammie Wearing Fool opines, “Comedy of errors? Political tools? Welcome to ObamaCare, you morons.” Um, guess what, you have and you can thank President Barack Obama and the Democrats.

Ha, ha, ha … these people actually thought they were getting FT jobs with benefits, ha, ha ha!!!

Earlier this year, Contra Costa County won the right to run a health care call center, where workers will answer questions to help implement the president’s Affordable Care Act. Area politicians called the 200-plus jobs it would bring to the region an economic coup.

Now, with two months to go before the Concord operation opens to serve the public, information has surfaced that about half the jobs are part-time, with no health benefits — a stinging disappointment to workers and local politicians who believed the positions would be full-time.

The Contra Costa County supervisor whose district includes the call center called the whole hiring process — which attracted about 7,000 applicants – a “comedy of errors.”

“The battle for the call center was over jobs with good working wages and benefits; I never dreamed they would be part-time,” said Karen Mitchoff, who has heard from complaining constituents and expressed her “extreme displeasure with how it was handled” to call center supervisors.

One recent hire, who last week learned the job would be part-time, said the new “intermittent” employees feel like they’ve been used as a political tool, and many now regret applying for the positions.

Those who became part-time were told they would have to pay full freight on their health plans, ranging from $600 to $1,200 a month for a single worker and between $1,400 to $2,900 a month for an employee with a family. That is a steep bill for employees with part-time jobs paying from $15.33 to $18.63 an hour.

Hot Air brings up a very interesting and important point. Just how many jobs from the Obama job recovery that are created are really FT jobs and not part time, “intermittent” jobs?

Speaking of folks not happy with Obamacare, now the IRS employees want no part of it either.

Barack Obama Speech … Washington Took Its Eye Off Economy With “Distractions” and “Phony Scandals”

NO HE DIDN’T … BARACK OBAMA REFERRED TO DISTRACTIONS IN WASHINGTON AS PHONY SCANDALS!!!

Is Obama done speaking yet … Good grief this might have been one of the worst, rambling speeches I have ever heard. President Barack Obama’s speech on the economy was touted as being an important speech to help the economy and job growth. Instead, all we got from the “community agitator” was the same old tired economic agenda from Obama, blame Republicans and a new smear … calling the scandals that have plagued the Obama White House, “phoney scandals”. Even the WAPO had to print that Barack Obama’s new economic plan was the same as his old plan. One that has failed, provided more debt to the United States and has given us the worst economic post recession job growth period in history. What was the point of this speech? It certainly could not have been to bring Republicans and Democrats together to solve the problems of a floundering US economy. Phony scandals? Seriously, Barack Obama thinks the death of border agent Brina Terry as a result of Fast & Furious is a phony scandal? Obama thinks that the death of four Americans in Benghazi, including Ambassador Chris Stevens a phony scandal when it was the Obama WH that put forth a false and phony narrative that the terror attack was a result of a video? Who scrubbed the Benghazi talking points Mr. President? And the targeting of Conservative and Tea Party organizations by the IRS that was said to be only a couple of rogue agents and has now spread to many offices, Washington, DC and the White House counsel, that is a phony scandal as well? Wasn’t it President Obama who called this outrageous behavior? Now it is a phony scandal as it gets closer and closer to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. What about the going after of AP reports and James Rosen of Fox News, those were phony scandals as well?

What Obama is counting on: Hey America, you bough my BS for 5 years and 2 elections … what’s another 1200 days?

You could be forgiven if you thought you had heard President Obama’s speech on the economy today before. Because you have.  For most of the 2012 campaign. (Don’t trust us, read Obama’s 2012 acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention.)

Things are getting better in areas like private sector job creation, home construction, energy independence and health care. But, the country isn’t all the way back yet. Republicans are looking out for the wealthiest Americans at the expense of the middle class. Times need to change.

“With an endless parade of distraction, political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball,” Obama told a crowd at Knox College in Illinois this afternoon. “And I am here to say this needs to stop.” Later in the speech, Obama vowed: “I will not allow gridlock, inaction or willful indifferences to get in our way.”

That’s a nice rhetorical flourish and there are, without doubt, some things that Obama can make happen in regards the economy via executive order. But, to make any major progress — a grand bargain on debt and spending for example — President Obama needs Congress, including the House that remained in GOP hands in 2012 despite his stronger-than-expected victory on the same day.

From The Weekly Standard: Older, But Not Wiser – Obama’s first speech in a series is a predictable bust.

Speaker of the House John Boehner ripped the president for his speech, Obama speech ‘an Easter Egg with no candy’. Personally I thing my comparison would have been a bit more harsh than providing the illusions of a fluffy bunny. Americans are suffering and all people should be sick and tired of a class warfare president who is more intent on making political points than helping “We the People”. Obama’s agenda has failed and if we give this failure any more lip service, the USA will look like Detroit.

Just how bad was Obama’s speech … it had bipartisan support against it!

Who knew that the Democrats Obamamessiah would turn into Richard Nixon and call all the scandals that mired his administration false and phony. Welcome to Chicago-style politics. President Obama has no intentions of fixing anything. Obama is doubling down on his failed policies and looking to blame others for his actions and agenda. WAKE UP AMERICA … IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL THE USA IS GOING TO BE DETROIT.

Thanks Barack Obama … 76% of Americans are Living Paycheck To Paycheck

How’s that “Hopey-Changey” stuff working out for ya America?

Obamanomics has been an unmitigated disaster. The economy is a disaster and any reports that it is getting better is hogwash. A record number of Americans are on food stamps, the actual unemployment rate is much higher than the presently reported 7.6%.And then we have the real indicator that tells us how Americans are really doing. According to a CNN poll via Town Hall, 76% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck. For all the promises that Obama has made that he would make the economy better and in turn the lives of Americans. The joke is on you America. Obama may be an empty suit, but he has left 76% of Americans with empty pockets.

Empty_pockets

Roughly three-quarters of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, with little to no emergency savings, according to a survey released by Bankrate.com Monday.

Fewer than one in four Americans have enough money in their savings account to cover at least six months of expenses, enough to help cushion the blow of a job loss, medical emergency or some other unexpected event, according to the survey of 1,000 adults. Meanwhile, 50% of those surveyed have less than a three-month cushion and 27% had no savings at all.

To make matters worse, in the past three days, Americans has lost countless money in their 401k’s with the DOW tanking after Fed chairman Ben Bernanke’s comments last week that they are going to taper back the flow of money and artificially supporting the markets. Bernanke said the economy is getting better. REALLY? 76% of Americans would disagree with you sir.

HOW IN THE HELL WAS BARACK OBAMA, THIS EPIC FAILURE REELECTED!!!

HARRIS POLL … Only a Third of US Adults Qualify as Very Happy … Minorities Show Particularly Pronounced Declines in the Past Two Years

Hey minorities, how’s that “Hopey-Changey” thing working out for ya?

Even though minorities have voted overwhelmingly for President Barack Obama and Democrats, their quality of “happiness” has declined in the past two years. In the 2012 election, 93% of blacks and 71% of Latinos voted for Barack Obama, yet they are more unhappy now than in 2011. Don’t ask for things, they might come true. This is what happens when you sell your souls to one party and they know you are a sure vote. When will minorities understand that Obama and Democrats just make campaign promises and then one they have been elected, forget anything that was promised. Black and Hispanic unemployment  is among the hardest hit by the failed Obama economy. But I thought Obama was going to fix all your problems and make the ills of society go away?

2008 – I don’t have to worry about putting gas in my car or worry about paying my mortgage. If I help him, he’ll help me … LOL, wanna bet?

Maybe if minorities stopped voting for Democrats and actually saw what the other party could offer them, maybe they might be more happy. But sorry, hard to feel any sympathy of folks who vote in lock-step for one party and then complain that they are still unhappy.

Years

Harris_Happiness_Index_060113

A Harris Poll of 2,345 U.S. adults surveyed online April 10-15 by Harris Interactive found certain groups, such as minorities, recent graduates and the disabled, trended downward in the last couple of years.

The Role of Politics

Minorities show particularly pronounced declines in happiness in the two years since the Happiness Index was last measured, with especially low happiness levels observed among the Hispanic American population; while it is important to note that a causal link cannot be established, it may not be a coincidence that this drop coincides with a political landscape that has seen frequent, sometimes contentious, discussion of immigration policy in recent months. Other findings include: African-Americans appear to be less happy than in 2011, with 36% qualifying as very happy – down from 44% in 2011. However, though happiness is down among them, they remain roughly as happy as whites (34%); in contrast, fewer than three in ten Hispanic Americans (28%) are very happy. This represents not only a decline from 2011 (35%) but also a significantly lower percentage than seen among either whites or African-Americans. Among Americans with disabilities, the percentage of those very happy has dropped from 34% to 31%- another decline which may have ties to cuts or feared cuts in services as a result of the sequester.

What, you mean being on welfare, unemployment, food stamps, disability and being dependent on the federal “Nanny state” government does not make individuals happy?
