WSJ/NBC News Poll … Barack Obama’s Approval Rating Hits New Low

Barack Obama hits an all-time low jab approval in the Wallstreet Journal/NBC Poll … THE TOXIC PRESIDENT!

Bad news for Barack Obama and Democrats, in the latest WSJ/NBC poll, Barack Obama’s job approval numbers have cratered to an all-time low with 41% approval and 54% disapprove. With just 8 months before he midterm elections, Obama’s approval keeps falling and after last nights bell-weather special election victory for the GOP in Florida 13, Democrats are reeling. NBC News reports, GOP May Reap Rewards of Obama’s Unpopularity in Midterms.

Mr. Obama’s job approval ticked down to 41% in March from 43% in January, marking a new low. Some 54% disapproved of the job he is doing, matching a previous high from December, when the botched rollout of his signature health law played prominently in the news.

Unease over the economy continues to drive these concerns. Sixty-five percent of those polled said the country is on the wrong track, compared with the 26% who said it was on the right one, a wider spread than in the midterm-election years of 2006 and 2010. Roughly one-quarter of the respondents think the economy will improve over the next year, while 57% believe the U.S. is still in a recession, despite years of modest economic growth and robust stock-market gains.

  • Obama’s job-approval rating has dropped to a low point of 41 percent, never a good position for the party controlling the White House;
  • By a 33 percent to 24 percent margin, Americans say their vote will be to signal opposition to the president rather than to signal support, though 41 percent say their vote will have nothing to do about Obama;
  • Forty-eight percent of voters say they’re less likely to vote for a candidate who’s a solid supporter of the Obama administration, versus 26 percent who say they’re more likely to vote for that candidate;
  • And Republicans hold a one-point edge over Democrats on which party registered voters prefer to control Congress, 44 percent to 43 percent. While that’s within the poll’s margin of error, Republicans have traditionally fared well in elections when they’ve held a slight lead on this question.

5 Takeaways From the WSJ/NBC Poll.

1. Barack Obama keeps sinking. He received his lowest marks ever, winning approval from only 41%. George W. Bush won approval from 37% at the same point in his presidency. Mr. Obama also earned personal record-setting disapproval from Democrats (20%) and tied his strongest disapproval from independents (62%). Republican David Jolly Defeats Democrat Alex Sink in Florida Special Election for #FL13 … In a District Obama won in 2008 & 2012

A sign of things to come for the upcoming 2014 midterm elections … Republicans defeat Democrats in special election vote in Florida, a district that Obama was twice.

Republican David Jolly has defeated Democrat Alex Sink to win the special election in Florida’s 13th district. Despite being outspent 4 to 1, despite being the lesser known candidate and despite being behind in polls ahead of the special election, Jolly defeated Sink 48.5% to 46.5%.  Libertarian Lucas Overby had 4.8%.  OUCH, that is going to leave a stinging mark on Democrats.  Is this a harbinger of things to come this Fall? Although the seat has been held by a popular Republican for years, Barack Obama carried the district in 2008 by 8.2% and in 2012 by 5.6% . This is a perfect example of a snap shot in time to see just how unpopular Obama has become and namely, Obamacare. Florida-13 is a swing district in a swing state that covers most of Pinellas County between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, including parts of St. Petersburg.

Republican David Jolly narrowly defeated Democrat Alex Sink in the special election for Florida’s 13th District on Tuesday in an unusually expensive race watched closely by both parties as the midterm election season kicks into high gear.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Jolly beat Sink, 48.5 percent to 46.6 percent, according to The Associated Press.

Both Democrats and the GOP plowed millions of dollars into the swing district race in hopes of an election year boost. The results appeared to vindicate the strategy of the GOP, which focused its attacks on linking Sink to Obamacare and managed to win with an untested candidate who had frustrated many in the national party.

Sink was “ultimately brought down because of her unwavering support for Obamacare, and that should be a loud warning for other Democrats running coast to coast,” National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden said in a statement.

The folks on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ had to admit that this is a devastating blow to Democrats and Democrat moral for the 2014 elections. Republicans in Washington thought that Jolly was a bad candidate. Doesn’t that show how much the GOP establishment knows? This stinging defeat of a Democrat hand-picked, centrist candidate, who had previously run for Florida governor shows the rest of the Democrat politicians that they cannot run on the notion that Obamacare is good. One has to wonder whether Obama will be asked to campaign in any states or districts unless they are absolute sure races or a Democrat running unopposed.

As stated at the Tampa Bay Tribune, David Jolly’s victory Tuesday in the U.S. House District 13 special election represents a clear repudiation of Obamacare.

Powerline weighs in on the impact of Florida 13′s special election, Dave Wasserman, the editor of the non-partisan Cook Political Report and certainly not a Republican operative, says “If Dems couldn’t win an Obama congressional district with a solid candidate against a flawed R, expect a rough November.”

Please do not confuse Dave Wasserman and Liberal Florida House Democrat election denier Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who said last night following the Democrat defeat, that the Democrat loss in special election shows GOP weakness. Really Debbie, you can say that with a straight face, eh? Next thing Debbie will be telling folks, if you like your helthcare plan, you can keep it.

“Republican special interest groups poured in millions to hold onto a Republican congressional district that they’ve comfortably held for nearly 60 years. Tonight, Republicans fell short of their normal margin in this district because the agenda they are offering voters has a singular focus – that a majority of voters oppose – repealing the Affordable Care Act that would return us to the same old broken health care system,” Wasserman Schultz said in a DNC rapid response statement.

Sarah Palin Re-Writes Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs & Ham at CPAC: “I Do Not Like This Uncle Sam, I Do Not Like His Health Care Scam”

Sarah Palin wows them at CPAC with her on version of Green Eggs and Ham, in honor of Sen. Ted Cruz’s (TX-R) reading of the Dr. Seuss classic during his filibuster last year,   … “I Do Not Like This Uncle Sam, I Do Not Like His Health Care Scam”

“I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam. I do not like — oh, just you wait — I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their crony deals. I do not like this spying, man, I do not like, ‘Oh, Yes we can.’ I do not like this spending spree, we’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it, nope, nope, nope.”

Former President Jimmy Carter May not be Dead, But his Presidency Was … Donald Trump Makes Reference at CPAC to the “Late, Great Jimmy Carter” … I’m Not Dead Yet!!! (VIDEO)

Former President Jimmy Carter needs to borrow a line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail …  I’m Not Dead Yet!!!

It would appear that Donald Trump was a bit premature in announcing the death of “the late, great Jimmy Carter (VIDEO).” Yesterday at CPAC, The Donald compared the Obama presidency to that of the disastrous, failed presidency of Jimmy Carter. Trump stated that Obama’s job approval numbers at 38% were now in Jimmy Carter territory and that he never thought he would see another presidency like the late, great Jimmy Carter. Oops. Make no mistake, Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States has not passed away. However, Carter’s presidency was.

“We’re getting into Jimmy Carter territory, and I never thought I’d see anything like that again,” he said as the audience chuckled. “I lived through that time and it was not a good time and we’re pretty close – I think maybe by next month we will have surpassed the late, great Jimmy Carter.”

 With Barack Obama’s failed foreign and domestic policies and adverse impact on America, it would look like from his falling polling number, Obama’s presidency is dead as well.

Fox News Poll: Barack Obama Hits All-Time Low Job Approval at 38%, 54% Disapprove … Only 33% Believe Obama has Improved America’s Image around the World

Barack Obama’s 38% job approval is well deserved, he did it the old-fashioned way … HE EARNED IT!!!

Can you say ‘EPIC FAILURE’ and it would appear the American people may finally be fed up with Obama’s disastrous presidency. According to the most recent Fox News poll, President Barack Obama has hit an all-time low in his job approval, as an anemic 38% approve of the job he is doing while a whopping 54% disapprove. But wait, a look inside the numbers and the news gets even worse for Obama and Democrats. Obama’s numbers on healthcare, the economy and foreign policy are abysmal.

Just how many Democrats are going to want this president near him during the 2014 elections?

Obama_Pout

For the first time in a Fox News poll, fewer than four voters in ten — 38 percent — approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-four percent disapprove. Before now Obama’s worst job rating was 40-55 percent in November 2013. Last month 42 percent approved and 53 percent disapproved (February 2014).

Approval of Obama among Democrats stands at 71 percent, near its 69 percent record low (September 2013). For independents, 28 percent approve, which is also near the 25 percent all-time low among this group (July 2013). And approval of Obama among Republicans hits a new low of five percent.

Full poll results can be read HERE.

Most all of Obama’s poll numbers are now in the 30′s. Across the board whether it be domestic or foreign policy, Obama has failed. Now we can only hope America can survive another 3 years with this president.

  • Healthcare:  36% Approve -  59% Disapprove
  • Economy: 36% Approve -  58% Disapprove
  • Foreign Policy: 33% Approve – 56% Disapprove
  • Do you think the country is better off than it was five years ago, or not?  34% Yes -  60% No – 5% the Same

Wait, let’s try to find some good news for Obama and his lockstep Democrats in their poll. Oh sorry, there is none. On items that Americans were asked as to whether Barack Obama mostly succeeded or Mostly failed, Obama got an “F”. What happened to that president who said that he would make America respected once again in the world?

  • Making the country safer: 41% Mostly Succeeded – 48% Mostly Failed (In Oct. 2012 Obama’s poll numbers were  52% – 38%)
  • Improving health care: 36% Mostly Succeeded – 57% Mostly Failed
  • Creating new jobs: 33% Mostly Succeeded – 59% Mostly Failed
  • Improving America’s image around the world:  33% Mostly Succeeded – 59% Mostly Failed
