Health Insurance Companies Warn Losses from ObamaCare are Unsustainable

WE WARNED YOUObamaCare is Unsustainable.

Gee, what a shock that insurance companies are hemorrhaging money from the Obamacare plans. As Hot Air opines. either they need to get approval from state regulators for another round of large premium increases, or they may bail out altogether. Don’t the insurance carriers get it, Obamacare was never supposed to work. It was supposed to damage insurance companies to pave the way for what Obama really wanted, a single payer system controlled by the government.

This Liar wanted Single Payer all along

Health insurance companies are amplifying their warnings about the financial sustainability of the ObamaCare marketplaces as they seek approval for premium increases next year.

Insurers say they are losing money on their ObamaCare plans at a rapid rate, and some have begun to talk about dropping out of the marketplaces altogether.

“Something has to give,” said Larry Levitt, an expert on the health law at the Kaiser Family Foundation. “Either insurers will drop out or insurers will raise premiums.”

While analysts expect the market to stabilize once premiums rise and more young, healthy people sign up, some observers have not ruled out the possibility of a collapse of the market, known in insurance parlance as a “death spiral.”

In the short term, there is a growing likelihood that insurers will push for substantial premium increases, creating a political problem for Democrats in an election year.

Insurers have been pounding the drum about problems with ObamaCare pricing.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association released a widely publicized report last month that said new enrollees under ObamaCare had 22 percent higher medical costs than people who received coverage from employers.

And a report from McKinsey & Company found that in the individual market, which includes the ObamaCare marketplaces, insurers lost money in 41 states in 2014, and were only profitable in 9 states.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE … HHS Pushes Church Talking Points For Bulletin Announcement to Promote Obamacare

IT WOULD APPEAR SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE DOES NOT APPLY TO FEDERALLY MANDATED OBAMACARE.

Just what one wants to listen to when they head off to church on a Sunday morning, an Obamacare sermon. That is possible, in an effort to sign up as many individuals as possible to Obamacare, the Obama administration has gone to incredible, extraordinary lengths to partner with churches and faith-based groups, to even publishing sample church bulletin inserts, flyers, and Obamacre “talking points.”  This brought to you by the same people that rail against religion, the Christian religion that is, that might have the slightest inclusion within government. When it is about 10 Commandments in a Court House … that is Seperation of Church and State. But of course it is perfectly okay to promote a federal government mandated law in Church, complete with talking points.

Isn’t this the same crew that is currently suing the Little Sisters of the Poor, trying to force Obamacare on nuns?

Obamacare_church sample announcement

In an effort to sign up as many consumers as possible for insurance under the Affordable Care Act (or Obamacare), the Obama administration has gone to extraordinary lengths to partner with churches and other faith-based groups, even publishing sample church bulletin inserts, flyers, and scripts for announcements, as well as “talking points.” These materials are part of the “Second Sunday & Faith Weekend of Action Toolkit,” which is available on the website of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

From the beginning, HHS has sought to develop partnerships with faith-based organizations to promote the Obamacare. This “toolkit” has been available since 2013. However, the details of these partnerships have largely escaped the attention of the national media. The Second Sunday & Faith Weekend of Action program encourages churches to use the second Sunday of each month during open enrollment to hold informational meetings and sign-up events. The sample bulletin insert appears as follows:

The materials also include two full pages of “talking points,” which end with an admonition to churches that “[y]ou are trusted messengers in this community. We hope you share this information with those around you so they can be connected with the care they need.”

Johnathan Gruber Apologizes … Rep. Trey Gowdy Grills Gruber: Did You Apologize Because You Said It Or Meant It?

YESTERDAYS MENU: GRILLED GROUPER GRUBER …

Following Jonathan Gruber’s apology yesterday for his mean and insulting Obamacare comments during the during the House Oversight Committee, Gruber was grilled, baked and fried by House members on both sides of the aisle. Gruber apologized for his glib comments and used the defense during the hearings that he was not a politician. Of course Jonathan Gruber never thought his comments were inappropriate until the video came out. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) grilled Gruber and said the following, “The pervasiveness of your quotes is so much that it has to be more than that. It has to be more than an episodic mistake that you made… What did you mean when you said you wish that you had been able to be transparent, but you’d rather have the law than not?… Did you apologize because you said it or meant it?”

How comical is it that they are now trying to make MIT economist Jonathan Gruber look like Sgt. Schultz, I know nothing.

Below is Johnathan Gruber’s lame attempt at an apology for his plethera of “stupid” comments. Gruber apologized for making “uninformed and glib comments” about the political process behind health care reform and used the defense he was not a politician. HUH? Now one of the architects of Obamacare is claiming he is not an expert and is using the Sgt. Schultz defense … He knows nothing.

VIDEO APOLOGY

The Blaze:

“I would like to begin by apologizing sincerely for the offending comments that I made,” Gruber said in prepared remarks before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

He said in some cases he made “glib comments” about the process, and said his tone implied he’s an expert on healthcare, “which is wrong.” Gruber acknowledged his “insulting and mean comments” were uncalled for.

“I sincerely apologize for conjecturing with a tone of expertise and for doing so in such a disparaging fashion,” he said. “It is never appropriate to try to make oneself seem more important or smarter by demeaning others. I knew better. I know better. I am embarrassed, and I am sorry.”

GRUBERGATE:The Liar in Chief President Obama Says Regarding Gruber’s Remarks, “No, We Did Not Mislead to Get Obamacare Passed”

GRUBERGATE … THE GREAT OBAMACARE HOAX, LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES.

Yesterday in Brisbain, Australia Barack Obama finally was asked the question, did you misled the American people with regards to Obamacare. Wouldn’t it have been amazing id he said, YES, you caught me. But, in typical Obama fashion, he denied the allegation and then went off on a tangent explaining away the accusation and never really providing any valid facts to support his denial. All you have done in your six years in office is mislead the American people. President Obama, you have already lied about you can keep your insurance plan and doctor, if you like them … why wouldn’t we think you lied about everything else to pass Obamacare?

Ed Henry – Fox News: At you Burma town hall a couple of days ago you tried to inspire young leaders by saying governments need to be held accountable and be responsive to the people. I wonder how you square that with your former adviser Jonathan Gruber claiming that you were not transparent about the health law, because in his words, ‘the American people, the voters, were stupid’ (VIDEO). Did you mislead Americans about the taxes, about keeping your plan, to get the bill passed?

Barack Obama: No. I did not. I just heard about this. I get well briefed before I come out here. The fact that some adviser, who never worked on our staff expressed an opinion, that I completely disagree with, in terms of the voters, is no reflection of the process that was run. We had a year long debate Ed. Go back and look at your stories. The one thing we cannot say is that we did not have a lengthy about health care in the United States of America. Or that it was not adequately covered. I would just advise every press outlet here to go back and pull up every clip, every story, and I think it is fair to say that there was not a provision in the health care law that was not extensively debated and fully transparent.

First, Obama just heard about this? You mean he can’t remember one of the many meetings with Jonathan Gruber in the White House? Good grief, Obama is using that tired response of he just learned about the issue from the news?  Where have we heard that before, maybe in the following VIDEO.

Second, Just curious, does it make an adviser less credible if he did not work directly on Obama’s staff? There are these people called consultants Barack. Who would actually believe that the architect of Obamacare, also the architect of Romneycare, would actually work directly for the President? This sounds an awful lot like the Cheers episode when Cliff was on Jeopardy answering the final Jeopardy question … “who are three people who have never been in my kitchen.”

Third, read the following quote from Obama, “The fact that some adviser, who never worked on our staff expressed an opinion, that I completely disagree with, in terms of the voters, …” All Obama disagrees with is Gruber’s remark that the American voters are stupid. Obama is not saying that he disagrees with the rest of the misleading comments.

Fourth, Barack Obama claimed that the health care debate was extensive, adequately covered and transparent. Hmm really? So why did Nancy Pelosi famously say, “We Have to Pass Our Bill So That You Can Find Out What Is In It.”

Fifth, President Obama, do you really want everyone going back and taking a look at every clip and news account? Look what happened so far by those on the right and bloggers.

Sixth, fully transparent? The Obamacare you can keep your plan if you like it was already awarded the 2013 Politifact lie of the Year. It would appear you are looking to win the award two years in a row. As Jonathan Gruber said, “Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.”

Seventh, no asked the question whether Obamacare was extensively debated. However, what good is a debate when the premise is based on a lie that is being discussed?

On a completely different lie, check out the 2:20 mark of the Obama VIDEO where miraculously Obama comes up with all of these stats for the Healthcare.gov web site now that it is not crashing all the time. Remember last year when Obama minions were asked for the same type of data and we were told they did not have access to it.

Yeah Mr. President, Obamacare is working … that is why the majority of Americans have not even been affected by it because you delayed it.

Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber Brags About Lying to the American People … “Call It the Stupidity of the American People”

OBAMACARE FRAUD … FROM THE LIAR IN CHIEF:

Finally we get the creators of Obamacare to call it for what it really is, one big lie and fraud“Call it the stupidity of the American voter”. For those with any common sense have known from the outset that Obamacare was a sham and a fraud. But for many Americans, as Nancy Pelosi stated in the past, “we have to pass the bill to find out what is in it”. NO WE DIDN’T. Obama, his minions and Democrats purposely wrote this law with a lack of transparency to the American people so that it would pass. Wasn’t this Obama presidency supposed to be the most transparent ever? Yeah America, and I have a bridge to sell you is Brooklyn too.

“You can’t do it political, you just literally cannot do it. Transparent financing and also transparent spending. I mean, this bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes the bill dies. Okay? So it’s written to do that.  In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in, you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed. Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical to get for the thing to pass. Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”

Imagine that, it was a premeditated Obama lie when he said, “If You Like Your Health Care Plan, You Can Keep It”.

From Town Hall.com, brings up a few points …

  1. Notice how lying to the American people is completely justified by Obama administration standards so long as the ends justify the means. Gruber would “rather have this law than not,” and therefore purposely lying about what the law actually is in order to get it passed is completely acceptable. regardless of the negative effects it has on the lives of Americans.
  2. Lack of transparency might be a huge political advantage in the short term, but long term there are consequences from voters, which is exactly what we saw last week during the Democrat blood bath at every level of government across the country.
  3. Insulting Americans as stupid and deceiving them is a really good way to lose your power on Capitol Hill, which is again exactly what we saw last week in the 2014 midterms. Twenty-eight Senators who voted for Obamacare are now out of the Senate for one reason or another.
  4. Obamacare in its entirely was “sold” on lies. From the promise to keep your doctor to claims insurance rates would go down, not up — to hiding that the legislation was in fact a tax until of course it was necessary to argue it was a tax to save the legislation at the Supreme Court. Government bureaucrats promising an expansion of care knowing care under Obamacare would be limited, etc. Hell, even the official name for Obamacare, “The Affordable Care Act,” is a lie. Obamacare isn’t affordable.
  5. The process through which Obamacare was shoved through and down the throats of the American people happened as a result of Harry Reid changing Senate rules and without the support of voters. The legislation didn’t receive a single Republican vote in the House or the Senate. Also, remember this?
