Welfare Spending = $168 Per Day for Every Household in Poverty … $137 Median Income Per Day
We have reached a tipping point, welfare spending now more than medium income … what has happened to our country? America, do you still remember what the word pride means?
As reported at the Weekly Standard, the amount of money spent on welfare programs equals, when converted to cash payments, about “$168 per day for every household in poverty.” Welfare spending per day per household in poverty is $168, as opposed to the median income per day is only $137. Can you say unsustainable? People are going to begin to say, why work? And that is exactly how you crate a socialist society. At some point this has got to stop. For all the welfare spending, it has accomplished nothing except to create a dependent welfare class of people whose vote can be bought and the loss of liberty and self-respect.
According to the Republican side of the Senate Budget Committee, welfare spending per day per household in poverty is $168, which is higher than the $137 median income per day. When broken down per hour, welfare spending per hour per household in poverty is $30.60, which is higher than the $25.03 median income per hour.
“Based on data from the Congressional Research Service, cumulative spending on means-tested federal welfare programs, if converted into cash, would equal $167.65 per day per household living below the poverty level,” writes the minority side of the Senate Budget Committee. “By comparison, the median household income in 2011 of $50,054 equals $137.13 per day. Additionally, spending on federal welfare benefits, if converted into cash payments, equals enough to provide $30.60 per hour, 40 hours per week, to each household living below poverty. The median household hourly wage is $25.03. After accounting for federal taxes, the median hourly wage drops to between $21.50 and $23.45, depending on a household’s deductions and filing status. State and local taxes further reduce the median household’s hourly earnings. By contrast, welfare benefits are not taxed.”
Sadly, Doug Ross may have best summed up this disastrous overspending on the welfare state, “We are headed for fiscal collapse — and the welfare state keeps growing like a cancer, incentivizing sloth, formalizing a culture of dependency, and killing self-sufficiency.”
Just curious America, do you even care anyone about your country, why it was founded for Liberty?
The Great Obama Unemployment Lie: Unemployment Rate Drops to 7.7% for November 2012 … Lose 350,000 from Labor Force & 73% of Civilian Jobs Created in the Past 5 Months Were Government Jobs
WHAT A JOKE … THE GREAT OBAMA LIE THAT THERE IS MOMENTUM IN THE JOB MARKET, JOB GROWTH AND THAT THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS GOING DOWN.
Yesterday it was reported that the unemployment rate for November 2012 dropped to 7.7%. Wow, great news right? More people must be getting jobs, so then the job market must be getting stronger. NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND. Although the unemployment rate went from 7.9% to 7.7% in November, a mere 146,000 jobs were created. It is exactly this government lie that the economy is supposedly getting better that is the cover for Obama to raise taxes. Every business, struggling family and out of work individual knows the economy is not getting better. But the fabricated numbers put forth perpetrate the Obama lie that things improving. Everyone knows that it is economic suicide to increase taxes during a recession or struggling economy, so what do you think is going to happen when taxes are raised during this so-called job growth economy?
I can’t believe Americans are buying my BS, fooling these people was easier than I thought
CNBS Video: Rick Santelli: ‘They Love to Fib About Statistics’
The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) was little changed at 4.8 million in November. These individuals accounted for 40.1 percent of the unemployed. (See table A-12.)
The civilian labor force participation rate declined by 0.2 percentage point to 63.6 percent in November, offsetting an increase of the same amount in October. Total employment was about unchanged in November, following a combined increase of 1.3 million over the prior 2 months. The employment-population ratio, at 58.7 percent, changed little in November. (See table A-1.)
So how does the rate tick down so much with so few jobs created? The unemployment rate did not go down because there is job growth, it went down due to workers leaving the work force. As reported at the Heritage Foundation, The labor force declined by 350,000 and the labor force participation rate declined to 63.6%. More reported at Zero Hedge with easy to to charts that show the real reason why the unemployment rate dropped as as the number of people out of the labor increased by over 540K to 88,883,000.
The only reason that the unemployment rate fell was because more people dropped out of the labor market than actually found jobs. The labor force declined by 350,000 and the labor force participation rate, a measure of potential workers, declined to 63.6, the same level as reported in September. The recovery is well underway, yet potential workers continue to remain on the sidelines and out of the labor market. One reason is that approximately 1.5 million more potential workers are on the disability rolls now as compared to 2007. It is doubtful that many of them will ever return to the labor force, lowering future economic growth.
Just when you thought that what little jobs that were being created was a good thing … THINK AGAIN. The key word America is “think”. As reported at CNS News, as private sector companies are laying people off in droves, 73% of civilian jobs created in the past 5 months were government jobs. What a great job recovery, one fueled by the government creating 7 in 10 jobs and John Q. Public, “We the People” having to pay their salaries. So how is this good for the economy?
In June, a total of 142,415,000 people were employed in the U.S, according to the BLS, including 19,938,000 who were employed by federal, state and local governments.
By November, according to data BLS released today, the total number of people employed had climbed to 143,262,000, an overall increase of 847,000 in the six months since June.
In the same five-month period since June, the number of people employed by government increased by 621,000 to 20,559,000. These 621,000 new government jobs created in the last five months equal 73.3 percent of the 847,000 new jobs created overall.
You elected this America. You wanted four more years of this fiasco. Maybe some of you should just keep to voting for American Idol only. I wonder how the MSM would have reported these terrible jobs numbers if a Republican had been president?

Quid Pro Quo … Detroit City Council Woman JoAnn Watson Tells Obama, We Voted for you, Now Bail us Out with Government Bacon
Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You“. Ask what you can do for your country.
Ask not what you can do for your country, but what you can take from your country. Welcome to the Obama “Quid pro quo” BACON BAILOUT.
The Left demands government pork for votes … Detroit Council woman Joann Watson wants some “bacon” from Barack Obama after blacks voted for him. Elections do have consequences and now it appears time for Obama to payback for all of his class warfare political rhetoric. Watson literally said its time for some “quid pro quo”. Since blacks in Detroit, Michigan overwhelmingly voted for Obama, they deserve a bailout. Thus, as stated at Michelle Malkin, a city that has been consistently mismanaged and run into the ground now expects and demands a bailout. It is the same old story as usual. Provide no fiscal responsibility and expect that some one else will bail you out. All that is accomplished is the same vicious, idiotic cycle continues. Look for Illinois and California to be asking Obama to bail out their failed states as well. It is obvious that people voted for Obama for what he could take from others to give to them.
Our people voted for Obama and now we expect pork from him. How morally bankrupt has this country become?
The city of Detroit faces a major financial crisis and one member of city council thinks President Barack Obama should step in and help.
City Council member JoAnn Watson said Tuesday the citizens support of Obama in last month’s election was enough reason for the president to bailout the struggling the city. (Click the video player to listen)
“Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that,” said Watson. “Of course, not just that, but why not?”
As Weasel Zippers opines, Bacon is defined as Obamaphones, EBT cards, food stamps, “stimulus” money.

Welfare State on Steroids … Welcome to America Where it Does not Pay to Work
Welcome to Obama Land, a “welfare” state on steroids … For Every 1.25 People in Private Sector, 1 Person Gets a Government Check.
Remember an America where individuals believed in hard work and perseverance? Remember an America where individuals took pride in their work and believed in an honest days wage for an honest days work? Remember when we believed in getting ahead over entitlement? NOT ANY MORE. Welcome to an Obama world where many do not want to work a normal work week but expect to be paid for it. Welcome to the Obama progressive welfare state where the slackers succeed off those that work hard. America just elected a president who spent $5 trillion during his first term and looks to double down in this second one. Who really gets hurt by this, the rich? Nope, the middle class. For those in the middle class who work for a living to put food on their families table and a roof over their head, have been sold down the river by federal and state governments that have created a welfare system on steroids. How bad has it become in the United States, it does not pay to work. This country is about to hit a tipping point and the point of no return. Who thinks that this was the vision of Our Founding Fathers?
The grim and disturbing news from Zero Hedge Fund:
[I]t is now more lucrative – in the form of actual disposable income – to sit, do nothing, and collect various welfare entitlements, than to work. This is graphically, and very painfully confirmed, in the below chart from Gary Alexander, Secretary of Public Welfare, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (a state best known for its broke capital Harrisburg). As quantitied, and explained by Alexander, “the single mom is better off earning gross income of $29,000 with $57,327 in net income & benefits than to earn gross income of $69,000 with net income and benefits of $57,045.“
As aptly stated by Powerline, Those who work for a living have been sold out by federal and state governments that have created a welfare system gone mad.

This is Hardly a Surprise … Red States’ Income Growing Faster than Blue States’
The choice is yours America, do you want your economic growth to be like a “Red” or “Blue” state?
Let this be a reminder to those in 2012 swing state/battle ground states, Independents and open-minded and concerned Democrats, as reported in USA Toady, Red state’ incomes are growing faster than that of Blue states’. What is most interesting is that when averaged nationally, the robust gains in red states and meager gains in blue states produced a national growth rate remarkably similar to that in the swing states. This is what would be called a trend America. there is a reason why Red states are doing better than the big government, union controlled, high tax blue states. As also stated at The Blaze, “Gee, maybe there’s something to be said about this ‘limited government’ & ‘free market’ stuff, huh?” A note to those in swing states in 2012 … what would you want your state ti be in the next four years, like a red state or blue? The choice is yours in November 2012.
The income of those living in red states has climbed 4.6% since the recession began in December 2007, a USA TODAY analysis of total increases found. The average income of those living in blue states and swing states saw a much slower increase. The personal income of blue states has increased 0.5%, while in the swing states, income increased 1.4%.
Contrary to Obama’s comments, it looks like there is a difference between a Red state America and a Blue state America. Even though a President is supposed to be President of all America, it is obvious what works economically and it ain’t big government, Nanny states.
Income is growing much faster in Republican-leaning “red states” than in Democratic-tilting “blue states” or the pivotal swing states that will decide the 2012 presidential election, a USA TODAY analysis finds.
Personal income in 23 red states has risen 4.6% since the recession began in December 2007, after adjusting for inflation. Income is up just 0.5% in 15 blue states and Washington, D.C., during that time. In the dozen swing states identified by USA TODAY that could vote either way Nov. 6, income has inched ahead 1.4% in 4 ½ years.
Key swing state findings:
•Declines. Four of the 10 slowest growing are swing states: New Hampshire, Michigan, Florida and Nevada. The Silver State’s income plunge is in a class of its own, down 10.8% because of its real estate collapse.
•Gains. Eight of the top 10 states in income growth lean Republican.
What more does it take for Americans to realize what direction America needs to go in 2012? How much data, how many obvious signs and indicators do Independents and open minded Americans who are concerned with the future of the United States need to rescue our country?
