Nancy Pelosi Calls George Bush a Total Failure … Has Pelosi Seen her Poll Ratings Lately … Is Nancy Projecting?

Talk about irony, or is it just ridiculous rhetoric to provide cover for one’s own failings? Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calls President George W. Bush a total failure. Speaker Pelosi, one who lives in a glass “House” with low approval ratings should not be throwing stones. One might actually say the same about the Democratically controlled House and Senate. However, Speaker Pelosi has decided this time to personally attack the President. Why not … Democrats are in pre-election war mode and will say and do anything to make Republicans look bad. As the Gateway Pundit states, “the AP said this was unusual for the Speaker, I call bull****”.

Pelosi shot back in unusually personal terms.

“You know, God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject,” Pelosi replied. She then tsk-tsked Bush for “challenging Congress when we are trying to sweep up after his mess over and over and over again.”

Nancy … I think thou dost protest too much as well. How comical is it that Speaker Pelosi is railing on GWB for his 28% approval rating while Pelosi has a 14% approval rating. Watch Nancy Pelosi stumble through the Democratic plan to reduce oil prices on CNN. What leadership … blaming others for her failings. This woman promised change when the Democrats took over. Pelosi says no to offshore drilling while a CNN poll shows Americans are in favor of offshore drilling 73% – 27%. So much for doing the work and will of the people. For three consecutive days after President Bush spoke on removing the ban on offshore drilling, oil prices per barrel have gone down. Think there is not a correlation? Democrats don’t think so. Wait until your poll numbers go even lower as the Democratic controlled Congress refuses to provide common sense relief to “We the People”.

Its a Moonbat Smack Down: Cindy Sheehan to Take on Speaker Nancy Pelosi for CA Conressional Seat

If Cindy Sheehan successfully gets 10,198 signatures from friends, supporters and fellow moonbats, she will be battling Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for the CA Congressional seat this Fall. Call it Godzilla vs. Mothra or better yet … “The Battle of the Moonbats”.

Please sign her petition, we beg you!!! Maybe Hugo Chavez can send in a proxy signature from Venezuela? That is if his signature was allowed, but when has that ever stopped anyone. What better way to show just how LEFT the SF area has gone than to allow Sheehan to battle Pelosi for her seat.

Sheehan was at San Francisco City Hall on Friday to take out papers for her independent run for Congress, but without those signatures from voters in the district, her name won’t show up on the ballot.

“It’s an uphill battle,” said Sheehan, who vowed to run against Pelosi in July after the speaker refused to start impeachment proceedings against President George Bush. “But I’m excited about the signature-gathering process. It’s going to be an opportunity to talk to people about our campaign.”

To get the signatures, equal to 3 percent of the district voters registered for the 2006 general election, the campaign will have people setting up ironing boards and card tables on street corners throughout the city, seeking voters who want an alternative to Pelosi. Sheehan has until Aug. 8 to collect the needed signatures. (San Francisco Chronicle)

In the mind of Sheehan, it would appear that because Pelosi refused to bring impeachment proceedings against President GWB, a vote for Pelosi is a vote for Bush. Hmm.

I’m not a big debater. I prefer to push the buttons and twiddle the knobs to shine the spotlight on those who are more well-spoken than me. But on occasion, I find issues so concerning, and ignorance so profound that I am forced to speak up. Today is one of those days.

My mom showed up wearing a Hillary Clinton button last week. As an elderly couple on a fixed income, I was forced to ask her if she had the first clue as to what it would mean for her and dad if a Democrat took office. Here’s what I told her.

In President Bush’s first term, he proposed, and congress passed, a series of temporary tax cuts. Most of these will expire in 2011. As you would expect from partisan politics, the Democrats have no plans to renew these cuts. John McCain has spoken out boldly in support of making these cuts permanent – as they should be.

Take a look at what’s going to happen the moment a Democrat takes office. Not their actions, but their inactions will allow the following to occur:

• Child Credit: This credit will shrink from $700 to $500 per child on January 1, 2011.
• The Income Tax: Rates will increase between 3 and 4.5 percentage points in each bracket on January 1, 2011.
• The 10 Percent Bracket: The bracket will be eliminated on January 1, 2011, raising the income tax burden of many workers by 5 percentage points. For low-income Americans, this is perhaps the most important of all the tax relief points that will expire!
• The 15 Percent Bracket for Joint Filers: On January 1, 2011, the upper limit of this bracket will shrink from 200 to 167 percent of the upper limit of the 15 percent bracket for single filers, creating a marriage penalty.
• Standard Deduction for Joint Filers: On January 1, 2011, this will shrink from 200 to 167 percent of the standard deduction for single filers, creating a marriage penalty.
• The Estate Tax: The top rate for this tax will increase to 60 percent on January 1, 2011, and the value of an estate exempt from taxation will shrink to $1 million, which is less than it is today.

Many Americans desperate for “change” because of differing opinions on how the Iraq war has been handled might take a second look at the Democrats when their pocketbook is involved. Why is nobody remembering that in its first 100 days, the new Democrat Senate passed the largest tax increase in American history — more than $700 billion in higher taxes!

Yes, gas is expensive and the economy sucks right now. And on the heels of April 15th, a lot of us are still sore from being reamed for a large chunk of our income. Next time someone starts saying we need “change”, ask them how much they’re willing to pay for it.

Yikes!!! 22% Approval Rating for Democratic Controlled Pelosi & Reid Lead Congress

22%??? Anyone have buyers remorse?

So you think President George W. Bush’s approval poll ratings are low, take a good look at the depth that the Democratic controlled Congress’s have fallen to. According to a recent Gallup Poll, GWB’s numbers have actually rose to 37%, while Congress has sunk to 22% approval rating. I guess its safe to say that the honeymoon is over for Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Gone is the 54% job approval rating as Americans expected results from all of the Democrats midterm pre-election lies, oh sorry promises, and in return have received nothing.

Here’s a thought. While everyone is pulling those levers in 2008 voting for President, let’s toss out many of those same incumbents Congressmen and women that we are all so dissatisfied with as well? That message is to Republicans, Democrats, Conservative, Liberals and Independents. With a 22% approval rating, the only people happy with what Congress is doing is their own families.

A new Gallup Poll, conducted Dec. 6-9, finds 37% of Americans approving of the job George W. Bush is doing as president, an improvement from his recent scores in the low 30s. Meanwhile, 22% of Americans approve of Congress, essentially unchanged from last month. Both Bush’s and Congress’ ratings remain low by historical standards.

In early November, 31% of Americans approved of Bush as president — just two points off his term-low rating of 29%. Since then, his rating has improved on each Gallup Poll, and although none of these individual changes have been statistically significant, the long-term increase from 31% in early November to 37% in the new poll is.

As Wake Up America points out … “At the end of the poll results page over at Gallup it reports that Congress now has lower approval ratings than it did at the end of Republican rule in 2006”.

Hey Pelosi and Democrats Take a Look at the Latest Poll Numbers on Troop Surge in Iraq

This is the last thing that Nancy Pelosi and Democrats wanted to see, poll numbers that show support for the troop surge in Iraq. Growing support for the troop surge as reported by USA Today. Democrats are walking a very dangerous line of defeatism going into the 2008 elections. A dangerous position indeed.

In the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll, taken Friday through Sunday, the proportion of those who said the additional troops are “making the situation better” rose to 31% from 22% a month ago. Those who said it was “not making much difference” dropped to 41% from 51%.

About the same number said it was making things worse: 24% now, 25% a month ago.

We have to agree 100% with Sister Toldja that polls should not be the answer to how one governs or conducts a war; however, it is the ultimate measuring stick for Democrats. What, they can’t be consistent with regards to polls either?

To top off this “bad news for Democrats” segment, the Associated Press’ military writer David Burns has an analysis that shows that our troops are making gains in Iraq.
