Ted Cruz Blasts Washington Post Cartoon of His Age 5 and 7 Year Old Daughters as Monkeys … The Post Says Kids are “Fair Game” is Even Worse
TALK ABOUT THE DOUBLE STANDARD OF THE LIBERAL MSM AND THE DEMOCRAT MEDIA COMPLEX …
If you ever need any reminder that there is a political double standard when it comes to the media reporting on Democrats and Republicans, one needs to look no further than the WAPO and their disgusting cartoon in going after the young children of GOP presidential contender Sen. Ted Cruz. The WAPO thought it perfectly okay to portray Cruz’s two young children as toy monkeys in a cartoon and stated it was perfectly fine to use them like this and called the, “fair game”. Needless to say in the firestorm and backlash that ensued following this tasteless and malicious depiction of Ted Cruz’s daughters, the WAPO removed the cartoon.
This is the same liberal media that will attack Donald Trump for going too far and yet they think its fine to say children are fair game. REALLY?
Sen. Ted Cruz launched an “emergency” appeal seeking to raise $1 million in 24 hours in response to a Washington Post online editorial cartoon depicting his two young daughters as dancing monkeys.
The Republican presidential candidate also criticized the paper for its “tasteless attack” on his children.
“My daughters are not FAIR GAME,” he wrote in a fundraising email sent late Tuesday. “I’m sickened … I knew I’d be facing attacks from day one of my campaign, but I never expected anything like this.”
Cruz accused the “liberal media” of attempting to “attack and destroy me (and my family) by any means necessary.”
UPDATE I: From the WAPO … Sorry you bastards, way too late on the retraction.
The WAPO removed the tasteless cartoon with a lame apology.
Editor’s note from Fred Hiatt: It’s generally been the policy of our editorial section to leave children out of it. I failed to look at this cartoon before it was published. I understand why Ann thought an exception to the policy was warranted in this case, but I do not agree.
UPDATE II: This is a new low even for the dirt-bag MSM …
Just curious, is everyone away that the daughters of Ted Cruz are age 5 and 7? I think the media should be asking Hillary Clinton if she thinks this is ok.
Also, i want you to imagine, just imagine if the media had ever done this to Barack Obama’s daughters and what the fire storm would be? People would have lost their jobs.

If You Missed It … Washington Post Calls for the IRS to be Investigated Over Targeting Conservative Tea Party & Patriot Groups
In case you missed it on Friday and over the weekend, one of the most incredible things occurred … The liberal leaning Washington Post called for the investigation of the IRS and their current scandal of purposely and willfully targeting Conservative Tea Party organizations. In a scathing editorial, The Washington Post blasted the IRS – Playing politics with tax records. Make no mistake about it, the WAPO is calling for an investigation and our government is probably no longer worth any of our trust. It appears that the WAPO thinks that what the IRS did was a tad-bit “Nixonian”.
To “We the People” … This used to be America? It Ain’t no more …
Officer Does Not Like anti-Obama Poster: “It ain’t [America] no more, OK?”
A BEDROCK principle of U.S. democracy is that the coercive powers of government are never used for partisan purpose. The law is blind to political viewpoint, and so are its enforcers, most especially the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service. Any violation of this principle threatens the trust and the voluntary cooperation of citizens upon which this democracy depends.
So it was appalling to learn Friday that the IRS had improperly targeted conservative groups for scrutiny. It was almost as disturbing that President Obama and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew have not personally apologized to the American people and promised a full investigation.
“Mistakes were made,” the agency said in a statement. IRS official Lois Lerner explained that staffers used a “shortcut” to sort through a large number of applications from groups seeking tax-exempt status, highlighting organizations with “tea party” or “patriot” in their names. The IRS insisted emphatically that partisanship had nothing to do with it. However, it seems that groups with “progressive” in their titles did not receive the same scrutiny.
If it was not partisanship, was it incompetence? Stupidity, on a breathtaking scale? At this point, the IRS has lost any standing to determine and report on what exactly happened. Certainly Congress will investigate, as House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) promised. Mr. Obama also should guarantee an unimpeachably independent inquiry.
UPDATE I: Now we learn that it is even worse than first thought … Non-Profit Groups that Criticized the Obama Government and Sought to Educate Americans.
