ATF Tries to Block Whistleblowing Book on Fast and Furious by Special Agent John Dodson Citing It Would Hurt Morale

Obviously the ATF has never heard of the First Amendment to the US Constitution …

The Washington Times is reporting that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is blocking”whistleblower” special agent John Dodson from publishing a book on the ‘Fast & Furious’ government gun walking scandal. The ATF is claiming that the book would hurt moral in the agency. Really, that’s your reason? The First Amendment is being shredded because the ATF is worried about morale? It is more likely that Attorney General Eric Holder and President Barack Obama are more worried about the information that will come out that will be embarrassing to them. With all the scandals plaguing the Obama White House, Obama does not want to have to revisit this not-so “phony” scandal.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is blocking the main whistleblower in the Fast and Furious case from publishing a book, claiming his retelling of the Mexico “gun-walking” scandal will hurt morale inside the embattled law enforcement agency, according to documents obtained by The Washington Times.

ATF’s dispute with Special Agent John Dodson is setting up a First Amendment showdown that is poised to bring together liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union and conservatives in Congress who have championed Mr. Dodson’s protection as a whistleblower.

The ACLU is slated to become involved in the case Monday, informing ATF it is representing Mr. Dodson and filing a formal protest to the decision to reject his request to publish the already written book, sources told The Times, speaking only on the condition of anonymity.

The Fast & Furious gun walking program during the Obama presidency has lead to the death of border agent Brian Terry and allowed the guns into Mexico where they were responsible for countless number of murders.

UPDATE I: ACLU says ATF blocks whistleblower book on scandal.

The ACLU charged that the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is worried that the book proposed by an ATF agent would hurt relationships with other U.S. law enforcement agencies.

In a six-page letter to ATF Deputy Director Thomas Brandon, the ACLU said the bureau’s decision to block the book proposed by Special Agent John Dodson was a violation of his First Amendment rights. The ACLU described Dodson as a whistle-blower.

According to the letter, the ATF denied Dodson’s request to try to publish a book about his version of the Fast and Furious scandal because the bureau predicted it would have “a negative impact on morale in the Phoenix (Field Division) and would have a detrimental” impact on ATF relationships with the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin warned everyone on Capitol Hill, especially Democrats, Barack Obama and the park police that if they lay a hand on the World War II vets at the WWII memorial or try to arrest them for visiting their own memorial, that he will bring a half a million people to march on Washington. Watch the impassioned comments from Levin. The barricading of an open air war memorial might be one of the heinous things that any US government has ever done. We currently have an White House that purposely has prevented Our Grestest Generation from visiting their memorial before the die to score political points. As Doug Ross writes, ‘Quite possibly the saddest photo I’ve ever seen. And the most damning.’ I would agree.

How dare this president and Democrats prevent WWII heroes from visiting their memorial. These people fought and defeated Nazi German, Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan … but some how they are prevented by Barack Obama and Harry Reid from being allowed to visit a memorial to ‘Our Greatest Generation’. UNREAL. The Hill reports that the GOP controlled House passes bills to fund DC, parks and medical research . So Once again it is the Democrats that are saying no, not Republicans.

You lay one hand on one of those men and arrest them for going to their memorial, which they fought for, which was not paid by you dammit, it was paid by the American people – we will come out of every town and city in this nation! George Zimmerman Pulled Over for the THIRD Time by Police Since Acquitted for Murder Charges in Death of Trayvon Martin

As the Daily Mail reports … So much for George Zimmerman keeping a low profile after his acquittal for murder charges in the death of Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman was pulled over for the third time since his his “not guilty” verdict of murder charges. This time police stopped him in Brevard county, FL and given a written warning dated August 19, 2013 at 11:06 a.m., from FHP, Zimmerman had improper tag display on his Honda truck and that his vehicle’s excessive tint needed to be corrected. Zimmerman told the police that he had installed the heavy tinting because he had been receiving death threats since being acquitted of murder.

George Zimmerman was pulled over by police for the third time since his acquittal, it emerged today.

Zimmerman was stopped by Florida Highway Patrol troopers in Brevard County on August 19 just after 11am.

He received a written warning for having an improper tag display on his Honda truck and was told the window’s excessive tint needed to be corrected.

He told the trooper he installed it after he was acquitted because he had been receiving death threats.

Since being acquitted for the murder of Trayvon Martin in July, Zimmerman has been pulled over twice prior to this for speeding — once in Texas and once in Lake Mary.

He was let off with a warning in the Texas incident and fined $256 in the latter.

Damn, how many times is this dude going to continue to pop up in the news? One would think he would want to melt into society and never be head from again, for his own sake. Who would have ever thought that Casey Anthony would have done a better job of keeping out of the public sight than George Zimmerman?

FBI Releases Video & Investigation Finding of Navy Yard Shooter … Aaron Alexis Walks the Halls Looking for People to Kill With Shotgun

The FBI has released chilling video of Aaron Alexis, the gunman who killed 12 and wounded numerous others at  the Washington Navy Yard on September 16, 2013. The video shows 34 year old Aaron Alexis, now deceased,  walking the halls at the Washington Navy yard as he looks for victims. You can see employees in the distance as Alexis stalks the corridors with a shotgun. There is no indication that he was specifically targeting anyone, however, he can be seen stalking the hallways looking for prey.

Chilling footage of the Navy Yard shooter as he stalked random victims through hallways with a sawed-off shotgun has been released by the FBI today.

There is no indication that Aaron Alexis targeted any specific individuals when he sprayed bullets inside a building, killing 12 people on September 16.

In the short clip, Alexis is first seen driving into an underground parking garage in his rental car, a blue Toyota Prius, through the Washington Navy Yard main gate in DC.

From The FBI: Law Enforcement Shares Findings of the Investigation into the Washington Navy Yard Shootings .

On the morning of Monday, September 16, 2013, Alexis arrived at the Washington Navy Yard. Alexis had legitimate access to the Navy Yard as a result of his work as a contractor and he utilized a valid pass to gain entry to Building #197. Shortly after his arrival in the building and over the course of approximately one hour, Alexis used the Remington 870 shotgun and a Beretta handgun he obtained during the course of his shooting to kill 12 victims and wound four surviving victims before he was shot and killed by law enforcement officers. Investigation to date has determined that Alexis acted alone.

The following timeline details Alexis’ activity during the morning of September 16, 2013:
?7:53 a.m. – Alexis’ rental car, a blue Toyota Prius with New York plates, entered Parking Garage #28 at the Washington Navy Yard, located directly across from Building #197.
?8:08 a.m. – Alexis exited Parking Garage #28 on foot carrying a backpack. Alexis entered Building #197 and proceeded to the elevator.
?8:09 a.m. – Alexis exited the elevator on the fourth floor and entered the men’s bathroom carrying a backpack and a clipboard.
?8:15 a.m. – Alexis crossed the hallway into the 4 West area of Building #197 with shotgun, but without the backpack or a clipboard.
?8:16 a.m. – Alexis shot the first victim in the 4 West area of Building #197.
?8:17 a.m. – First 911 call is received from the fourth floor of Building #197.
?8:20 a.m. – Alexis left the fourth floor using the stairs and entered the third floor.
?8:28 a.m. – Alexis appeared on the first floor.
?8:57 a.m. – Alexis returned to the third floor.
?9:25 a.m. – Law enforcement shoot and kill Alexis on the third floor.

Both weapons used by Alexis were recovered at the scene and have been submitted to the FBI Laboratory for forensic analysis. The Remington 870 shotgun had been altered with a sawed-off barrel and stock. Purple duct tape covered the end of the stock and handwritten etchings were present on various parts of the shotgun. Etched into the barrel of the shotgun were the words “End to the torment!” Etched into the right side of the shotgun receiver were the words “Not what yall say!” and etched into the left side of the receiver were the phrases “Better off this way!” and “My ELF weapon!” (More)
