Prince George’s County, MD Police Officer Jacai Colson Shot & Killed Outside Prince George’s Police HQ … 2 Suspects in Custody

POLICE LIVES MATTER …

28year old Prince George’s County police officer Jacai Colson, a four-year department veteran, was killed in the gunfight. The fierce shootout took place outside of the District III district station in Landover, Maryland. Police Chief Henry P. Stawinski III spoke at a press conference on March 13 after incident and called it an “unprovoked attack.”

Just curious, does the ‘Black Lives Matters’ folks also include police officers?

Rest in Peace Officer Jacai Colson

A Prince George’s County police officer was killed Sunday in a fierce shootout with a man outside a district station in Landover, in what the police chief said was an unprovoked attack.

Police Chief Henry P. Stawinski III said a man walked up to the District III station and opened fire outside the front doors about 4:30 p.m. Officers rushed out to stop the attack. Officer Jacai Colson, 28, a four-year department veteran, was killed in the gunfight, the chief said. Police said the suspect was wounded and taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police said they didn’t know of a motive, but the suspect and a man police officials described as his brother were both in custody.

“One of your defenders lost his life in defense of this community today. This was an unprovoked attack,” Stawinski said at a somber news conference Sunday night.

A relative and law enforcement officials identified the two people in custody as Malik Ford and Michael Ford, both of Temple Hills.

The Myth of the Police Killing ‘Epidemic’ … Imagine That’s Its a MSM Fabricated Lie?

IMAGINE THAT, THE DEMOCRAT, LIBERAL MEDIA COMPLEX IS LYING TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC …

Check out the story from the NY Post that debunks the media reports that there is currently a police killing epidemic. In the end, the moral of this story is: Don’t point a gun at the cops and don’t run when they tell you stop, and you’re likely to survive.

Law enforcement

To hear the media tell it, America is in the grip of an unprecedented crime wave, an orgy of wanton murder in which heavily armed thugs randomly gun down innocent unarmed people, some of them teens, just for sport.

Except that these homicidal goons are wearing the blues and badges of American police departments.

It’s the narrative that’s given rise to the protest movement Black Lives Matter and to a growing public mistrust of the police in general. From Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., to the recent shooting of a middle-aged woman and a teen in Chicago, the body count seemingly keeps rising, exacerbating racial tensions and keeping the nation on edge. And each incident is breathlessly reported by a media determined to show that America remains deeply, irredeemably racist.

Problem is, it’s simply not true.

Last week, The Washington Post published a study of the police shootings that took place in 2015. Likely they intended the story to be shocking — as on Dec. 24, 965 people were killed by police! Instead, the report quells the notion that trigger-happy cops are out hunting for civilian victims, especially African-Americans. Among its key findings:

  • White cops shooting unarmed black men accounted for less than 4% of fatal police shootings.
  • In three-quarters of the incidents, cops were either under attack themselves or defending civilians. In other words, doing their jobs.
  • The majority of those killed were brandishing weapons, suicidal or mentally troubled or bolted when ordered to surrender.
  • Nearly a third of police shootings resulted from car chases that began with a minor traffic stop.
