Dutch experts conclude ‘Dr. Phil’ tape ‘doctored’

The following are some excerpts of Dompig’s comments. Some how we went from altered to “doctored”.

The most recent update includes forensic investigators in Holland having found that someone altered a taped interview in which a Surinamese man allegedly claimed to have had sex with a U.S. teen who disappeared while visiting Aruba, the island’s police chief said Wednesday.

“The tapes played on U.S. television appear to have been altered to suggest Deepak admitted to a sexual act, our forensic investigators tell us, the original tape did not say that,” Gerald Dompig, the chief of police for this Dutch Caribbean island, said in a statement.

“I have reviewed the findings of the Forensic Institute in Holland … those results state that the tapes were not authentic in regard to statement made by Deepak Kalpoe,” Dompig said.

This is one of the more eye opening statements,

“We have asked the FBI to review the same tapes to corroborate the conclusion reached by our Dutch forensic investigators,” the statement said.

Its too bad that were not asked to cooperate in the actual investigation more often and from the beginning.

Looks like the answer is to smear those who favor a boycott. This article may be a bit inappropriate and over the top. I have never been a big fan of the Dr. Phil Show, but seems like there is another side to the story.

Dr. Phil was accused of sexual abuse

Dr. Phillip C. McGraw, better known as Dr. Phil, also followed the petition of the Governor and asked for a boycott of Aruba.

His show only portrayed one side of the story of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, without trying to find out the correct facts.

The former therapist stopped giving therapy in 1989, after the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists publicly pulled his attention.

This was due to the fact that he was under accusations of sexual abuse.

Going after someone personally similar to the articles about Joe Mammana hardly seem the correct avenue. The tape issue is one thing, embellishing ones past is something completely different.

Natalee Holloway Investigation: Some comments from Jaime Skeeters

There seems to be much confusion with the tapes/CD’s that were sent to Holland to be examined. Jaime Skeeter’s CD’s that he provided have be authenticated as being genuine. According to Dompig, Dutch forensic investigators heard Deepak say, “he didn’t” from the tapes. Skeeters claims that “even his grandmother” could hear the tapes he provided the ALE and Skeeters stands behind his comment that Deepak said, “he did”. What does Dompig claim he heard? One question also remains, which tape/CD is Dompig referring to that they Dutch are saying is Deepak’s denial? The so called manipulated tape; is this the tape they state Deepak’s denial, or is it Skeeter’s, or both? The Dutch Forensic Institute analyzed and compared a video-cd of the private investigator and a tape provided by the FBI which had the interview with the suspect on it that was shown in the programmes of Dr. Phil and Rita Cosby.

The results of this investigation are as follows:

There are no differences between the interview with the suspect D.K. as shown in the video-cd of the private investigator and the tape provided by the FBI.

There also no indications that manipulation of the images took place.

The Dutch Forensic Institute has also concluded that in the case of the interview shown in the programmes of Dr. Phil and Rita Cosby the images were manipulated.

These images differ from the ones in the video-cd and the tape provided by the FBI.

We say let people decide for themselves. Scared Monkeys has two questions that need be answered in all of this. As opposed to many who just care to spin every single issue with regards to these tapes. We just want the truth to come out and let people make their own decisions.

Dr. Phil Video Tape. Aruba Don’t Spin this?

A rather convenient thing happened the day of a long four day weekend Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. After all this time, the results were released from Holland as to the Dr. Phil and Jaime Skeeters “Deepak interview” tapes.

Let the spin begin …

Jaime Skeeters DVD’s were said to be authentic. On his tapes it states that Deepak did have sex with Natalee. The Skeeter’s master tapes are the evidence, not the Dr. Phil ones. There is also a big difference between the term edited and altered.

I would rather wait to see what the original tapes say before jumping to a conclusion. Hopefully we will all be able to hear them.

Confusion on what was said on Tapes? Jaime Skeeters, “My old grandmother can even hear what was said on those tapes”

From tonights On the Record without Greta Van Susteren, November 23, 2005. If there was ever a night that Greta should have been there for an interview. Then again after all these weeks, the news comes out regarding the tapes on Thanksgiving Eve. The most traveled day in America.

It was earlier reported that the tapes that Holland was looking over from the Dr Phil show/Jaime Skeeters had been altered. However, Jaime Skeeters has a much different version and answer. When asked Skeeter’s stated as he has all along that his tapes were authentic and references a conversation he had with Dompig.

Well, after doing about fifteen back flips when I first heard it this morning, I called Chief Dompig. I asked him just what the hecks going on cause I know those tapes were not altered. He said that somebody misunderstood him: that the tape I sent him, the DVD is authentic. It hasn’t been touched; it is authentic and nothing wrong with it. So I said, what’s going on?

Well, again I asked the chief because we are on the same page Chief Dompig and I. He assures me that my tape is the authentic one. So I said where are the dummy tapes? The cooked tapes? Apparently and to make this short, when I downloaded Deepak’s interview onto my DVD; it was on my computer to a DVD…I sent that to the Phil show. Apparently they downloaded my DVD to beta tapes that you use on television where he could take clips of it. Certainly there are going to be clips and evidence of a two hour interview put in ten seconds. This is what they’re talking about.

It just appears that nothing can be easy when it comes to any aspect in the Natalee Holloway case. What is remarkable is that Dompig has stated that Skeeter’s DVD’s are authentic and not tampered with. Skeeters states that Deepak says on his version that he says he had sex with Natalee.

Reporter: So Jamie can I ask you…the clip that we heard where Deepak it could be suggested says that the boys had sex with Natalee. Specifically, that he did and it was very easy to do. Is that authentic? Is that what he told you when you interviewed him?

Skeeters: Yes, the word was you’d be surprised how simple it was.

Jaime Skeeters even goes to as far as saying it was clear as day on the DVD what was said. The DVD that Dompig says is authentic.

I sent him a DVD because he only had the working models, even the chief says “Yes, I can hear what you’re saying and what he said.” My old grandmother can even hear what was said on those tapes from the laptop.

So if Dompig admits that the Skeeter’s DVD’s are authentic and it states on the DVD what Deepak says, where is the issue? Wouldn’t the original two hour unedited version that Skeeter have be the ultimate evidence against Deepak, not the edited segment for a TV show?
