 71% of Americans believe they were lied to about Obamacare …

From the Washington Examiner via a recent Rasmussen poll, that 71% of  Americans believe that President Obama and his health care team knew well in advance that insurance costs would surge despite his promises they wouldn’t. Also, 40%  want HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to retire or be fired. So not only did they know you could not keep your insurance if you liked it, they also knew the costs would increase as well.

Rasmussen Reports found that 71 percent of voters believe “it’s at least somewhat likely that President Obama or senior officials in his administration were aware long before the law began being implemented that health insurance costs would go up for some Americans.”

Worse for the president: Only 18 percent want Obamacare to move on unchanged, but 43 percent want it repealed and the process started over and another 35 percent want Congress to fix it in a piecemeal fashion.

However, I have to sadly agree with the comments by Debra Heine at Brietbart.com with regards to the apathy and “oh well” mentality that is going on in the United States. We are a government of, by and for the people and ‘We the People” seem more engaged to the celebrity of the day and reality TV.

When the vast majority of American voters can agree they were lied to in order pass a controversial bill on a party line vote that amounts to a takeover of nearly 1/6 of the economy, and a large percent of them say, yeah, so what? – Our country is in deep trouble. According to Rasmussen, 48% of Likely U.S. Voters still approve of  Obama’s job performance. Unbelievable.

America, would you stand the hell up for yourselves and take your liberty, freedoms and country back! Pretend like you actually care. The Founding Fathers are shaking their collective heads at the apathy.

In other polling, Rasmussen finds that 51% believe that the “individual” mandate should be delayed, while 34% say no.

House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer Admits Democrats Knew Americans Would Not be Able to Keep Their Current Health Care Plans Under Obamacare … #You Lie

From the National Review Online, House Demorat Whip Steny the Hoyer (MD 5th District) admitted that Democrats knew that Americans would lose their current healthcare plans under Obamacare even as President Barack Obama, Democrats and their minions repeatedly gave a quite different message to “We the People”. It was Barack Obama who continually said over and over and over … If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. period!  Basically, the Democrat party that passed Obamacare on a purely partisan vote and rammed Obamacare down the throats of Americans knew that the tag line and talking points were a complete and total lie. “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period! If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. period!”

“No one will take it away, no matter what.”

House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer conceded to reporters today that Democrats knew people would not be able to keep their current health care plans under Obamacare and expressed qualified contrition for President Obama’s repeated vows to the contrary.

“We knew that there would be some policies that would not qualify and therefore people would be required to get more extensive coverage,” Hoyer said in response to a question from National Review.

Asked by another reporter how repeated statements by Obama to the contrary weren’t “misleading,” Hoyer said “I don’t think the message was wrong. I think the message was accurate. It was not precise enough…[it] should have been caveated with – ‘assuming you have a policy that in fact does do what the bill is designed to do.’”

UPDATE I: Senate Democrats Struggle to Defend Health Insurance Promises.

Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we practice to deceive. Democrats are in a tough place as they not only must attempt to defend Obama’s promises of being able to keep your insurance under Obamacare, but know being questioned as to whether they knew that Americans would lose their coverage, and when. Democrats are going to have a hell of a time getting out of this one as they have been caught in a lie. Either you admit you lied or you say, I never read the bill I signed that forced this upon the American people, Democrats and Republicans alike. Although Democrat Majority Leader Harry the Reid took a different tack. The true believer Reid said President Obama “didn’t say anything that was wrong. That’s true.”  Really?

Johnson’s bill, which will be introduced on Wednesday, could put Democrats in a tough spot. Asked Tuesday to explain the news that millions of Americans were losing their insurance policies, contrary to the president’s promise, Senate Democrats responded with a mixture of denials, evasions, and historical revisionism. Nearly all refused to say if they opposed Johnson’s bill.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire expressed shock that so many Americans are losing their current plans. “We knew that they would need to sign up again, but obviously I don’t think anybody thought people would be kicked off their health insurance plan,” said Shaheen, who refused to say if Americans should be able to keep the plans they had in 2013.

“He didn’t say anything wrong,” Senate majority leader Harry Reid said when asked about Obama’s promise. “That was true.”

According to Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Democrats had only promised that Americans could keep their insurance if it was “good insurance.”

“We said when we passed that, ‘If you had insurance that was good insurance that you wanted to keep it, you could keep it,’” Landrieu said.

She declined to say if she would support a measure to let Americans keep the plans they had in 2013. “I haven’t looked at it specifically,” Landrieu said.

“We can look at that,” said Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. “That’s something we can look at.”

It would appear that Democrats are going to try and pull a Bill Clinton and contort their words to create a new talking point. With Slick Willy, “It all depends on what is, is.” As stated at the Lonely Conservative, the new Democrat talking point will be “You Can Keep Your Plan If It’s ‘Good’ Insurance”. Hmm, how do you think that would have played out in the passage of the bill and the run up to the 2012 presidential election? The comment would have been overshadowed by the follow up question of what is considered a “good” insurance and who decides that? With the millions that have lost their insurance and the millions more that will do so, how do you think that would have changed the election results? I guess we now know why Obama and Democrats lied, eh?

Hold the phone, is it possible that this scandal of lying to the American people is so bad that even the MSM has to catch up and report on the story? It appears that way. The MSM in a face-saving effort to appear to be “fair & balanced” is going after Obama and his administration on this one. Of course they were carrying the water for Obama during his reelection, now they feel the need to have some semblance of credibility.

Why is Obamacare and Barack Obama in such trouble? Because liberals like Kirsten Powers, a columnist for the Daily Beast, who carried the water for Obama are finding out that they were lied to as well and that pretty much all of the promises made of the Affordable Health Care Act were fabrications. From The Kelly Files via Twitchy, Kirsten Powers, who has been an advocate of Obamacare and has shilled for it for years has come to the reality up close and person that not only can she not keep her insurance if she liked it, but it is also not so affordable.

According to Powers, she received a letter that her insurance was canceled. She had a plan that had a $2500 deductible and $160 premium. Now it’s a $2500 deductible and a $300 premium. As Powers told Megyn Kelly of her own experiences of Obamacare … this is “Not quite the way they [Barack Obama] sold it.”

Of course Kirsten Powers is just one of millions who is learning the hard way that they were deceived by Barack Obama and the Obama administration that if they liked their insurance, they could keep it.

CBS News has learned more than two million Americans have been told they cannot renew their current insurance policies — more than triple the number of people said to be buying insurance under the new Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.

There have been estimates about hundreds of thousands of people losing coverage, CBS News’ Jan Crawford reported on “CBS This Morning.” CBS News has reached out to insurance companies across the country to determine some of the real numbers — and this is just the tip of the iceberg, Crawford said. The people who are opening the letters are shocked to learn they can’t keep their insurance policies despite President Obama’s assurances to the contrary.

The White House is on the defensive trying to explain it, after Mr. Obama repeatedly said, “If you like your doctor or health care plan, you can keep it.”

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, “What the president said and what everybody said all along is that there are going to be changes brought about by the Affordable Care Act to create minimum standards of coverage.”

NBC News Reports … Obama Administration Knew Millions Would Lose Their Health Insurance & Mislead Americans (Barack Obama, The Lying King)

NBC News is reporting that the Obama administration knew for years that millions of Americans would not be able to keep their insurance, even if they liked them directly contradicting the promises of Barack Obama before, during and after the passage of the not-so affordable healthcare act. Yes, you read that correctly, shockingly NBC News is breaking this story that Barack Obama knowingly lied to to “We the People”.  Over and over and over, Barack Obama stated from 2009 to the 2012 Presidential election that with Obamacare you can keep your insurance if you like it, no one is going to take your insurance away. LIAR!!! As stated at PJ Media, it is bad enough that Obama completely and knowingly misrepresented the truth. However, the real tragedy was that so many Americans bought this con man’s “snake oil” hook, line and sinker. Thanks to the uniformed and easily lied to individuals, the US has to suffer through another term of what might be the most dishonest and non-transparent president, EVER!

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.” 

Buried in Obamacare regulations from July 2010 is an estimate that because of normal turnover in the individual insurance market, “40 to 67 percent” of customers will not be able to keep their policy. And because many policies will have been changed since the key date, “the percentage of individual market policies losing grandfather status in a given year exceeds the 40 to 67 percent range.”

That means the administration knew that more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them.

Guess what, this deceitful administration is still lying to the American people with regards to individuals can keep their insurance at White House.gov. As Weasel Zippers opines, Obama may want to update the website. But we all know the difficulties this White House seems to have with web pages.

Obama is in serious trouble on this and so are the Democrats in 2014. When Americans finally figure out that Obama’s promises were out-right lies, he will have an approval rating in the 20′s.

UPDATE I: Hmm, isn’t this interesting … the NBC report slamming the Obama administration that they knew Americans would lose their insurance has gone bye-bye.  Looks like NBC got a call to take the story down. The story still exists in the Google search, but as the Gate Way Pundit points out, does to a dead link. Didn’t NBC get the memo after their latest SNL skit this past weekend ripping HHS Sec. and Obamacare that they were no longer to make fun of the imperial president?

YIKES, Two Florida Men Dressed Up As George Zimmerman & Trayvon Martin For Halloween Complete with Blackface & Blood-Stained Hoodie

The Do’s and Dont’s of Halloween costumes … I am going to go out on a limb and say this one would be a DON’T!!!

Anything for a laugh … Two Florida men dressed up as George Zimmerman and Travyon Martin for Halloween on Friday night. They declared the costumes “hilarious” on a Facebook post, which was since been deleted. Go figure. Happy Halloween from George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin the caption of a photo posted on a friend’s Facebook page. In the picture, one man is wearing a shirt with “neighborhood watch” on it as he holds his fingers looking like a gun pointed to the other man’s head. The man dressed like Trayvon is wearing black face and a blood stained hoodie. Really folks? SICK!!! What, no Skittles or  Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail?

Is there a crime for poor taste?

As stated at Mediaite, some Facebook posters took exception to the pic and post and it was eventually taken down. Guess it was not so funny after all, eh? This further proves my theory that everyone serves a purpose in life, these three are here to serve as a bad example.

A pair of Florida men decided to celebrate Halloween this year by dressing up as George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, complete with blackface and blood-stained hoodie.

The image of the duo (click to enlarge) was uploaded Friday to the Facebook page of Caitlin Cimeno, a Martha’s Vineyard native who captioned the photo “Happy Halloween from Zimmerman & trayvon.” Cimeno, flanked in the photo by the two men, followed those words with a smiley face emoticon.

Greg Cimeno, 22, portrayed Zimmerman, complete with a “Neighborhood Watch” t-shirt. Cimeno lives in Cape Coral, Florida, where he appears to work for a carpentry firm.

William Filene, 25, dressed up as Martin, covering his face in black paint and donning a gray sweatshirt with a single bullet hole surrounded by fake blood. Filene, who also lives in Cape Coral, was arrested in June for felony auto theft. His rap sheet also included collars for loitering/prowling and failing to register an automobile.
