Jesse Ventura Wins $ 1.8 Million Defamation Suit Against Widow Of American Hero Chris Kyle

Yesterday, former professional wrestler, former Minnesota governor and 911 truther Jesse Ventura won his court case against American hero Chris Kyle. Actually, since Chris Kyle is dead, Ventura won his defamation law suit against the widow of an American hero. A jury actually awarded Ventura $1.8 million. UNREAL, it would appear we have found a more ignorant one than that of the Casey Anthony case.

Defamation of Character???

A jury awarded former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura $1.8 million Tuesday in his lawsuit against the estate of “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle.

On the sixth day of deliberations, the federal jury decided that the 2012 best-selling book defamed Ventura in its description of a bar fight in California in 2006. Kyle wrote that he decked a man whom he later identified as Ventura after the man allegedly said the Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.”

Ventura testified that Kyle fabricated the passage about punching him. Kyle said in testimony videotaped before his death last year that his story was accurate.

Legal experts had said Ventura had to clear a high legal bar to win, since as a public figure he had to prove “actual malice.” According to the jury instructions, Ventura had to prove with “clear and convincing evidence” that Kyle either knew or believed what he wrote was untrue, or that he harbored serious doubts about its truth.

Ventura attorney David Bradley Olsen stated Kyle’s claims that Ventura said he hated America, thought the U.S. military was killing innocent civilians in Iraq and that the SEALs “deserve to lose a few” had made him a pariah in the community that mattered most to him – the brotherhood of current and former SEALs. If that is the case, then suing the widow of a deceased US military hero should just do wonders. Olsen stated that Ventura was proud of his military service and would never say anything like Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.” Hmm, of course he would say nothing bad about the military. Has anyone actually listened to the comments that Ventura has spewed? He called “Our Military” contract killers on national TV … does any common sense thinking person think he is not capable of making a snarky comment when there are no cameras on?

And he said Ventura would never have said any of the remarks attributed to him because he remains proud of his and his parents’ military service.

“The statement is completely out of character for Jesse Ventura. He never said anything like that in his life, and he never will,” he said.

As The Gateway Pundits disgustingly says, “Congratulations Jesse! You proved your patriotism by suing the widow of a deceased American Hero! What do you do for an encore, burn an American flag?”

In a picture sent out from the official Twitter account of the Democrats on Saturday, a young Hispanic boy appears to be holding some kind of flag or banner that has the colors of Old Glory, but clearly isn’t Old Glory.

The image is likely seen as a political statement in light of the controversy surrounding the recent arrival of thousands of unaccompanied children coming across the Mexican border into the United States from Central America.

However, many on Twitter are not amused:

Talk about a travesty of Justice, since when have we become lenient on rapists … What is is this Shariah Law?

Get ready to be outraged … On May 10, 2011, Mandy Boardman told the detectives at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department the bizarre story that her husband, David Wise, had been drugging her for at least three years and raping her in her sleep. She had also found video on his cell phone.  Last month a jury convicted Wise of six felony charges related to sexually assaulting his wife. On Friday, May 16, 2014,  Marion Superior Court judge Kurt Eisgruber sentenced Wise to 20 years. Seems OK so far, right? Well it ends here.

The judges sentence did not include one day in prison. In regards to the 20 year sentence, 12 years were suspended and 8 years were to be spent in home confinement. WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS JUDGE THINKING!!! Since when are we lenient on rapists?

But perhaps the strangest thing is what happened after a jury convicted Wise last month of six felony charges related to sexually assaulting his wife.

On Friday, a Marion Superior Court judge sentenced Wise, 52, to 20 years — but not a day in prison. Of the sentence, 12 years were suspended and 8 years were to be spent in home confinement.

Prosecutors had asked for 40 years in prison.

And Boardman — who divorced Wise after discovering what he’d been doing — is furious.

“To have my rapist, my attacker, convicted on all six counts, only to be let go – only for him to walk out that door the same time I could — was just unfathomable,” Boardman told the Los Angeles Times in a phone interview on Monday. “I never thought that he would be at home, being able to have the same rights and privileges as I do.”

His wife was “snippy” and drugging her “made her nicer” is how an Indianapolis man convicted of repeatedly drugging and raping his wife explained his actions in court. The offenses, carried out over the course of three years, netted Indiana resident David Wise a grand total of zero years in prison after a trial in which he was found guilty.

Wait, it gets even worse, if that is possible. The judge turned to the victim and told her that she needed to forgive her attacker. WHAT!!! Where does this judge get off making any such comment, especially when the rapsist never apologized and showed any remorse.

“While the judge was giving his opinion on the sentence, he first turned to me and told me I needed to forgive my attacker, which is unfathomable,” Boardman told The Times. “He told me I needed to forgive my attacker and I needed to let my attacker walk. It was a punch to the gut from the justice system — or from one judge.”

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the accuracy of Eisgruber’s remarks.

EXIT QUESTION: What is more criminal, a sicko husband who drugs and rapes his wife or the judge that gives this depraved individual a slap on the wrist?

A guess these folks need to go back and re-read the chapter in the terrorists hand guide to bombs that deals with loading cars with explosives. But we will make it as Weasel Zippers did, the feel good story of the day.

At least 29 rebels died in a blast Sunday in the central Syrian city of Homs as they primed a car bomb for an attack, a monitoring group said.

In the capital, meanwhile, two people were killed when mortar fire struck the Damascus Opera House, state media reported.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said at least 29 people were killed, most or all of them believed to be rebels, in the besieged Old City of Homs when a car bomb exploded.

“The death toll is likely to rise because there are dozens of people missing and body parts in the area of the blast,” the Britain-based group said.

State news agency SANA also reported the blast, saying a car had exploded while being loaded with explosives.

Barack Obama White House spokesperson Jay Carney took to the microphone yesterday to brag about the notion that over 7.1 million people have enrolled in Obamacare.  After all this time of the White House and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius refusing to provide any numbers for enrollment in Obamacare, suddenly they come up with precise number like 7.041 million. HMM, REALLY? A contentious and defiant Carney delivered a prepared statement to the press full of snark, lies and exaggerations on the “mission accomplished” of Obamacare.

“Despite several lost weeks out of the gate because of problems with the website, 7.1 million Americans have now signed up for private insurance through these marketplaces,” the president said.

The 7.1 million figure was more than the 7.041 million announced by press secretary Jay Carney just hours earlier.

The administration is allowing consumers who were unable to complete their applications to continue the process beyond Monday. Moreover, the federal government is still collecting data from states who run their own states.

Obama heralded the achievement as “a big step forward.”

REALLY AMERICA? SORRY, BUT THE OBAMA WH IS INCAPABLE OF TELLING THE TRUTH AS THEY DOUBLE DOWN ON THE LIE.

Next thing you know, Carney, Obama, Sebelius, Pelosi et al will be telling you that you can keep your healthcare insurance if you like it, that you can keep your doctor if you like it, you can keep the hospital you go to if you like it, the IRS is not targeting the Tea Party, the NSA is not listening to your phone calls or reading your emails without a warrant, Benghazi was just about a tape and Eric Holder was not operating a gun-running operation in Mexico. WAKE THE HELL UP FOLKS AND STOP BEING SHEEPLE!!!

Sorry for my skepticism, but I deal in numbers. I would love to get my hands on this data and do some real analysis like, how many enrollment accounts are duplicates? Individuals have to create numerous accounts in the beginning because of the disastrous non-functioning Heathcare.fail site. How many individuals have actually paid their premiums? How many individuals enrolled in Obamacare lost the insurance that they liked because of Obamacare and are now paying higher premiums and have larger deductibles? Sorry, but you certainly cannot count it as a net gain if your program caused some one to lose something and then you compelled them to buy your product. Well, maybe an imperialist president would.

The Lonely Conservative has more of the “intended ” consequences of Obamacare as the CBO is stating that Obamacare will cause workers to work few hours, to the equivalent of 2 million jobs. Yeah, let’s see if Democrats run on Obamacare in this years midterm elections.
