Incoming US House Republicans Move to repeal Obama Healthcare … 60% Of Voters Want Repeal of Obamacare

REPEAL, REPEAL, REPEAL …

The incoming Republican controlled House of Representatives will move to real Obamacare, its not a threat, its a promise. House Republicans look to hold the vote on the repeal of Obamcare on January 12. However, Senate Democrats warn GOP Speaker to be John Boehner, Don’t bother with healthcare repeal.  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (NV) and other yop Dems wrote a letter to incoming House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Monday warning the new GOP House against advancing legislation that would undo the sweeping healthcare overhaul.  Much more at Sister Toldja … welcome news, indeed.

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives plan to pass a bill next week to repeal President Barack Obama’s overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system, a senior party aide said on Monday, but the effort is widely expected to fail in the Senate.

The new Congress will convene on Wednesday with Republicans in control of the House after November’s midterm elections. They are set to move ahead with their campaign promise to try to rescind the new healthcare law, one of Obama’s signature legislative victories.

GOP Hope & Change: Republican Controlled House Will Open Congress With Reading of US Constitution

Reading its fine, but there should be a comprehension test following.

When the 112th Republican controlled Congress opens, they will read the US Constitution. What a difference that will be from the Pelosi run Congress. Speaker to be  John Boehner offers “We the People” a change that is needed. One wonders whether most of the members of Congress have ever read the US Constitution.

The Constitution frequently gets lip service in Congress, but House Republicans next year will make sure it gets a lot more than that – the new rules the incoming majority party proposed this week call for a full reading of the country’s founding document on the floor of the House on Jan. 6.

The goal, backers said, is to underscore the limited-government rules the Founders imposed on Congress – and to try to bring some of those principles back into everyday legislating.

The Gateway Pundit states, “they really need to hand out some copies, too.” We’ll go one further, all members of Congress should be made to ready, study, understand and learn the US Constitution. There will be a test the first week of the 112th Congress.

Soon to be New Sheriffs in Town, GOP Reps Boehner & Cantor to Smithsonian: Pull Exhibit Featuring Ant Covered Jesus or Else

So an ant covered Jesus is what passes as art these days? Not any more as there is soon to be a new Sheriffs in town. The exhibit, “Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture,” includes video images of an ant-covered Jesus on a crucifix, male genitals, naked brothers kissing, men in chains among other so-called art images.

Republican US Reps John Boehner and Eric Cantor tell the Smithsonian to pull the exhibit featuring images of an ant covered Jesus or face the consequences. Soon to be House Speaker Boehner reminded the Smithsonian that he is soon to be Speaker and warned the federally funded institution that it will face serious questions when the Republican Congress considers the next budget.

“American families have a right to expect better from recipients of taxpayer funds in a tough economy,” Boehner’s Spokesman Kevin Smith told CNSNews.com. “While the amount of money involved may be small, it’s symbolic of the arrogance Washington routinely applies to thousands of spending decisions involving Americans’ hard-earned money at a time when one in every 10 Americans is out of work and our children’s future is being threatened by debt.

“Smithsonian officials should either acknowledge the mistake and correct it, or be prepared to face tough scrutiny beginning in January when the new majority in the House moves to end the job-killing spending spree in Washington,” Smith said.

When asked to clarify what exactly Boehner meant by calling on the Smithsonian to “correct” their mistake with the exhibit, Smith responded in an email that Boehner wanted the exhibit “cancelled.”

Cantor, meanwhile, said the exhibit should be “pulled.”

It appears that the Smithsonian has blinked. As reported at Big Hollywood, the Smithsonian has pulled the exhibit. Also reported at Fox News, a video depicting Jesus on a crucifix covered in ants will be removed from an exhibit at the museum. Intentionally sacrilegious? Oh, but it was ok to unintentionally do so? Because who would ever think that having an ant covered Jesus would ever be considered sacrilegious.

“I regret that some reports about the exhibit have created an impression that the video is intentionally sacrilegious,”the statement read. “In fact, the artists’s intention was to depict the suffering of an AIDS victim. It was not the museum’s intention to offend. We are removing the video today. The museum’s statement at the exhibition’s entrance, ‘This exhibition contains mature themes,’ will remain in place.”

So these so-called artists thought they were being cutting edge and daring. However, as stated by the Jawa Report, if these artists really wanted to be daring and controversial, they’d create an ant-covered Quran exhibit. Imagine what would have happened to the artists if it were an ant covered Mohamed? However, if they ever created such art, they would have their heads cut off. It’s much easier and safer to sacrilege Jesus.

The Plane Facts: John Boehner to Fly Commercial as House Speaker … Parks Nancy Pelosi’s Over Priced Air Force Jet

The GOP changes begin to differentiate the new House from Pelosi’s old one …

Soon to be House Speaker, John Boehner (R-OH) makes a symbolic gesture to show that the GOP got the message from the 2010 midterm elections. Boehner says he will fly commercial, rather than use the Air Force jet formerly used by Speaker Pelosi. Many had speculated what Boehner would do with Peloi’s lavish air travel in a time when most Americans could not even afford coach air fare. Out of control and wasteful government spending was obviously on the minds of voters in the 2010 midterm elections.   The “plane” fact is … the GOP looks to change many House rules.

Boehner’s decision would be a change in protocol from Nancy Pelosi and her predecessor, former Speaker Dennis Hastert, who usually flew back and forth to their home states in whichever Air Force aircraft was available for their use, typically a 12-seat jet.

Beyond changing travels arrangements, Boehner also said he wants the House of Representatives to be more open and transparent than in years past. To tackle that job, he has tapped Rep. Greg Walden to lead a group of GOP members to propose changes to House rules and procedures. The group began meeting Tuesday and will keep talking throughout the week.

Following the midterm election according to Gallup, John Boehner’s approval image has improved but Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s has not. Boehner is viewed favorably by 34%, up from 27% in mid-October. Many still do not know who Boehner is; however, they certainly know Reid, who has high disapproval ratings. Makes one wonder what the people of Nevada were tinking to reelect him back to the US Senate.

Americans’ opinions of House Republican Leader John Boehner, who is in line to be the speaker of the House in the new Congress, improved after the midterm elections. Though 4 in 10 Americans are still unfamiliar with Boehner, more Americans now rate him positively than negatively, a shift from three prior 2010 readings, including one taken in mid-October.

As the Hot Air Pundit says, would we ever see Pelosi travel with the common folk as Speaker? Not on your live, “not even if they were giving away free Botox”.

A special hat tip to Atlas Shruggs for the retrospective to Nancy Pelosi, wow … things have come a long way. Love the retro! What will Pelosi be most known for … “We Have to Pass Our Bill So That You Can Find Out What Is In It”. Some how for Dems and the MSM it is a badge of honor for Pelosi to have strong armed and overwhelming majority of Democrats in the House to vote for unpopular legislation that lost them control of the House.

More Liberal MSM Bias … AP Refers tos GOP John Boehner as a “Weepy Speaker In Waiting”

The MSM  just can’t help themself … the state run liberal MSM shows their true colors yet again …

The AP should be ashamed of themself as they refer to Republican US Rep. John Boehner as a “Weepy Speaker In Waiting”. Boehner has not even been given the gavel and become the Speaker of the House and the Democrat bias liberal MSM is already mocking him. UNREAL. Does any one ever remember them using mocking adjectives to describe Nancy Pelosi when she was the Speaker, let olone before she gained the position?

Got hankies? The next speaker is a weeper.

If soon-to-be-ousted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is known for her steely smile and composure, her replacement, John Boehner, has a reputation for tearing up.

It starts with a quaver in the Ohio Republican’s voice. Then there’s a pregnant pause as he tries — usually unsuccessfully — to keep his feelings in check. Soon, he’s choking out words in a rush of emotion, shaking his head and waving his hands as he tries to pull himself together.

It happened most recently when Boehner took his first turn on stage after Republicans seized control of the House in the midterm elections.

Boehner held it together until he got to the spot in his speech when he spoke of his humble origins as one of 12 children in a working-class family.

Then he started to lose it as he told the election-night rally, “I’ve spent my whole life chasing the American dream.”
