Nancy Pelosi Plans Big Bash to Celebrate “Accomplishments” like Increasing Spending, Debt and Losing the House

Welcome to the FACEof the Democrat party and the 60+ loss of House seats in the 2010 midterm election … We can obviously see Nancy Pelosi did not get the message of the American voters.

Talk about out of touch, from the Drudge Report,  Nancy Pelosi is planning to throw a big bash to celebrate her “accomplishments.” Maybe she would also like to throw a party for herself in trying to become the Democrat House Minority leader? After all, Pelosi is responsible for the Democrats becoming the minority party in the House, why not reward her.

PELOSI PLANNING PARTY FOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Mon Nov 08 2010 16:34:33 ET

Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the United States House of Representatives requests the pleasure of your company at a reception honoring the Accomplishments of the 111th Congress on Wednesday, the tenth day of November, two thousand ten at three thirty in the afternoon Cannon Caucus Room 345 Cannon House Office Building.

The House losses might get even worse for Democrats as the GOP leads in 5 of 9 yet to be called races. In the end, the GOP House pick up might be 65 seats.

CA-11: Democrat Jerry McNerney is up 548 votes, but tens of thousands of mail-in and provisional ballots are still to be counted.
CA-20: Andy Vidak (R), a cherry farms, leads incumbent Jim Costa (D) by 648 votes.
IL-8: Republican Joe Walsh leads by 365 votes over incumbent Melissa Bean (D).
KY-6: County officials affirmed Ben Chandler’s (D) lead. The Lexington Herald-Leader: “U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler, D-Versailles, leads Republican Andy Barr by 649 votes, according to official vote totals from all 16 counties in the 6th Congressional District.
NY-1 (Suffolk County, Long Island): After a voting machine recanvass, Randy Altschuler (R) has taken over the lead from incumbent Tim Bishop (D).
NY-25: Tea Party-backed Ann Marie Buerkle (R) leads Dann Maffei (D) by 684 votes.
TX-27: Solomon Ortiz (D) trails by 799 792 votes with all the votes in. He’s going to request a recount.

VA-11: Gerry Connolly (D) claimed victory for a narrow win. By the way, he was hospitalized for an undisclosed condition.
WA-2: Rick Larsen (D) leads by 3,841 votes, a slight loss of votes from 4,100 after counting in Snohomish County.

The Gateway Pundit reminds us of other great Pelosi accomplishments like helping, along with Obama and Reid,  to triple the national debt in one year, see unemployment rise on her watch and lose the House in near record numbers.

EXIT QUESTION … Would Winston Churchill have thrown a party?

Keith Olbermann Suspended by MSNBC for Making Donating in Violation of NBC’s Ethics Policy

NEWSFLASH … LIBERAL BIAS MSM TYPES DONATE TO LIBERAL DEMOCRATS …

Olbermann suspended from MSNBC for violating ethics and standards. Wait a minute, MSNBC has ethics and standards, since when?

MSNBC has supended Keith Olbermann  indefinately for making campaign donations in violations with NBC’s ethics policies. Olbermann was suspended without pay by Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC. Olberman supposedly violated NBC’s ethics policy that bars political activity, including contributions, without the approval of the president of NBC News. Oops, but of course the rules apply to others.

Keith Olbermann has been suspended indefinitely without pay from MSNBC for making donations to three Democrats in violation of NBC’s ethics policy.

“I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night,” Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC, said in a statement. “Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay. NBC’s ethics policy generally bars political activity, including contributions, without the approval of the president of NBC News.

Olbermann, who does not hide his liberal views, has acknowledged donations of $2,400 each to Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway and Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords during this election cycle.

Does MSNBC think that Olbermann donating money to politicians would pose a conflict of interest? Does MSNBC brass think that the campaign donations showed a liberal bias? ARE THESE PEOPLE SERIOUS?All one would have to do is watch Keith Olbermann’s cable show, if one could stomach it, to see the conflict of interest and liberal bias tat takes place every night. Or as the Jawa Report states, wouldn’t a Olbermann commentary simply show the conflict?

However, one has to wonder what Keither Olbermann was thinking? Why would he think he was above the law in not disclosing who he had given campaign donations to his superiors and public. To not do so and have these very people on his show is a journalistic no no. Even the folks at the Huffington Post are scratching their heads at Olbermann’s actions.

So will Keith Olbermann make himself “the Worst Person in the World”. That is if he still has a job.

One also has to speculate whether the MSNBC reaction and suspension of Olbermann is a backlash to the poor media critique that MSNBC received for their disasterous and pathetic 2010 election coverage?

Bill Kristol of “The Weekly Standard”makes a rather compelling defense for Olbermann. And as much as I think that Olbermann is a clown, I have to agree in mant respects with Kristol. Olbermann is not a news man, he is nothing more than than an opinionated  liberal with a microphone.

First, he donated money to candidates he liked. He didn’t take money, or favors, in a way that influenced his reporting.

Second, he’s not a reporter. It’s an opinion show. If Olbermann wants to put his money where his mouth is, more power to him.

Third, GE, the corporate parent of MSNBC, gives money to political organizations. GE executives and, I’m sure, NBC executives give money. Why can’t Olbermann?

Pin Head Alan Grayson Blames Democrat Losses Due to Appeasing Republicans

GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH …

Alan Grayson, the most despicable Democrat House Representative, former House Rep, whines and blames appeasement as to the reason why Democrats lost in the 2010 midterm elections. Appeasement?Back room deals by Pelosi and Reid and preventing Republicans from discussion, debate as well as voting down GOP amendment after amendment is appeasement?

Because this type of stuff had nothing to do with the demise of Democrats

House Democrats were swept out of power because party leaders tried to hard to “appease” Republicans on major issues, said a high-profile member Thursday who lost his seat.

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) said Democratic leaders should have been more aggressive and shut Republicans out of the negotiating process, arguing it would have helped them in Tuesday’s midterm elections.

“I think that the Democrats are saddened and demoralized by this policy of appeasement,” he said on MSNBC, noting that Democrats suffered from low turnout.

Grayson explained Thursday that Republicans’ strategy of opposing the Democrats’ big-ticket legislative items such as healthcare reform, the cap-and-trade energy bill and financial regulatory reform, helped them win back the House majority they lost in 2006.

Grayson says … I’ll be baack. Sorry dude, you are not the Terminator, you are the most despicable politician maybe ever.

It just brings a smile to see the election results and Grayson losing in a landslide to Webster 56% to 38%.

Following Loss of 60+ House Seats … Nancy Pelosi Says She Has “No Regrets!”

Speaker Nancy Pelosi just had the gavel ripped from her hands in one of the worst House beat downs in American election history … but she has “NO REGRETS”.

In an ABC interview with soon to be former Democrat House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi told Diane Sawyer that she had “no regrets”. Really Nancy, Really! You have no regrets that your socialist, liberal agenda has hurt the US economy more and has made it possible that there is 9.7% unemployment and people are still losing their jobs and homes. Really, you have no regrets? The Gateway Pundit provided a reminder of the carnage caused by Speaker Pelosi.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today she has “no regrets” one day after a Republican landslide stripped her of the power that defined her historic tenure as the first female speaker of the House.

The California Democrat, who won a new two-year term in Tuesday’s election, said she has yet to consider what she will do now.

“I’ll have a conversation with my caucus, I’ll have a conversation with my family, and pray over it, and decide how to go forward,” she said in an exclusive ABC News interview with “World News” anchor Diane Sawyer. “But today isn’t that day.”

One would think that the Speaker would be remorseful for her destructive policies and actions. NOPE! AsWeasel Zippers states, please, do get on your broom and just go away.

Really Nancy, the new initial unemployment claims are in and  it is … 457,000 Weekly jobless claims.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 20,000 to a seasonally adjusted 457,000, the Labor Department said, reversing the prior week’s decline.

Republican Pat Toomey Wins Pennsylvania US Senate Race Over Sestak … GOP+6, Corbett (R) Wins Governorship & Numerous House Races

It has been a tremendous night for the GOP in the “Keystone” state of Pennsylvania …

Republican Pat Toomey has been declared the winner in the Pennsylvania US Senate race over Democrat Joe Sestak. This is a GOP pick up of the Senate seat formerly held by Republican turned Democrat turned Democrat primary loser Senator Arlen Specter.  This is GOP pickup #6.

Pat Toomey, the Republican conservative and newly elected Pennsylvania senator, says the Democrat he defeated, Rep. Joe Sestak, served his country honorably.

Toomey was elected to Arlen Specter’s Senate seat Tuesday in one of the most hotly contested races in the nation.

Speaking at an Allentown-area hotel, Toomey told the crowd that “the people of Pennsylvania have spoken and they have delivered us a victory.”

Sestak conceded defeat in a speech at a suburban Philadelphia hotel in his congressional district. Holding his 9-year-old daughter, Alex, he told the crowd, “It is now Alex time.”

Add Republican Tom Corbett to the list of GOP wins in PA as he won the Governorship over Democrat Dan Onorato. But wait, it gets even better for Republican with House races.
