Alveda King, Niece of Martin Luther King Jr, Speaks at Beck’s “Restoring Honor” Rally on Anniversary of ‘I Have a Dream’ Speech
“I have a dream too” … So said the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. at the “Restoring Honor” rally.
As the liberal MSM and Al Sharpton condemn Glenn Beck for daring to have his “Restoring Honor” rally of the anniversary of MKK Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech, I wonder how they will respond to this “Restoring Honor” speaker? Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr., spoke today at the “Restoring Honor” rally honoring her uncle on the 47th anniversary of his “I have a Dream”.

This must have driven the liberals and the Al Sharpton brigade to have Alveda King speak at Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally. As American Power stated, the libs heads must have exploded to have such an event occur. It’s kind of hard for ReverendAl and the bias and hateful MSM to claim that the Beck rally to dismiss it with MLK Jr’s niece attending. The following is from ABC News:
On the 47th anniversary of her uncle’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, politician and activist Alveda King has joined conservative commentator Glenn Beck at the same spot to bring people together in paying tribute to America’s soldiers and “restoring honor” to America.
King, the niece of civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. and daughter of his brother activist A. D. King, is currently the director of African-American outreach at the pro-life group Priests for Life and has recently stepped into the spotlight after several appearances on Beck’s radio program.
“I am attending this rally to help reclaim America,” she told “Good Morning America’s” Ron Claiborne today from Capitol Hill. “I’m joining Glenn to talk about faith, hope, charity, honor. Those are things that America needs to reclaim. Our children need to remember to love each other how to honor each other, their parents, God and their neighbors. I agree with Glenn on all of those principles. So that’s why I’m here. For me it’s principles over politics.”

Why the Moonbat Left Progressives Hate the 4th of July, Patriotism Leads to Fascism
Progressives and the LEFT hate the 4th of July and patriotism …
You just can’t make this stuff up and we do not have to when we have the loony LEFT moonbat progressives to quote. Just yesterday we posted about a Rasmussen poll where 63% of American voters considered the 4th of July one of the most important holidays. However, 5% actually considered the birth of our country and the signing of the Declaration of Independence the least important holiday. I always wondered what type of loon would fall into that demographic?
BINGO, we have a winner. That did not take long … enter nut job Matthew Rothschild, the editor of The Progressive magazine. Why am i not surprised? This screw ball actually believes that all patriotism leads to Fascism. Is it any wonder why the LEFT needs to be voted out of office and the sooner the better for the sake of the United States of America.
It’s July 4th, my least favorite holiday.
And I’m not referring to the bugs, or the crowds, or the traffic on the highways.
I’m talking about the mindless patriotic bubble bath we’re all supposed to soak in all weekend long.
Well, not me.
My heart does not beat faster at the strains of the Star Spangled Banner, much less at the sight of F-16s flying overhead to kick off the show.
You see, I don’t believe in patriotism.
You can call me unpatriotic if you’d like, but really I’m anti-patriotic.
I’ve been studying fascism lately, and there is one inescapable fact about it:
Nationalism is the egg that hatches fascism.
And patriotism is but the father of nationalism.
Is it any wonder why this poll might have been the biggest “NO DUH” ever one in the history of polling.
What a misguided nut job. We have been told for years that we cannot question the patriotism of the LEFT. Really, why not … this foolish flake is exactly the reason why patriotism should be questioned. The LEFT has such an ignorant definition of patriotism. These people actually think it means to follow a government without questioning it. Just the opposite, Our Founding Fathers provided the greatest for of patriotism in the history of America and that was to defy a King.

On this July 4th, 2010 … the 234th birthday of the United States of America, according to a Rasmussen poll, 63% of Americans believe that the 4th of July is among one of the most important holidays. Even though July 4th and Christmas are considered the most important holidays, it is rather shocking that only 6 in 10 Americans consider the holiday that commemoratesthe birth of the very nation they live in is important. Ah folks, with out a July 4th there is no America and “Declaration of Independence”. Some might want to brush up on their American history and the following, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

America is not perfect, nor do we claim to be. However, the United States of America is the greatest country that God placed on this good Earth, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
On this July 4th, 2010, our countries 234th birthday, let us not forget of the sacrifices made by so many to make the United States of America independent and free. Because freedom is never free and there is a tremendous cost to remain independent. Our Founding Fathers brought before us a great nation of hard work and sacrifice, it is our duty as citizens to continue that dream.
Never more than since the birth of our great nation has the notion of “WE THE PEOPLE” been more important. For years we have allowed government to usurp their authority and take away our liberties. However, on this 4th of July I would like all to think about this great land and what made it great. America fights a war on terror for a reason. We the People want to protect our borders and our rule of law for a reason. We the People seek life liberty and the pursuit of happiness for a reason.
It is not government that enables you to do this … it was the unalienable rights endowed by our Creator.
Remember the words of John Adams who said the following regarding the future remembrances of “Independence Day.”
“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding generations, as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward, forever more.”

There are many today, namely today’s politicians who need to tale a good look at this brilliant document and understand that the United States was not founded on government dependence. More Hope & Change You Can Believe In … Obama Blows Off D-Day Anniversary
Priorities, priorities, priorities … mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama.
How is this for more Hope & Change, President Obama ignores the Anniversary of the D-Day invasion and opts for other higher priorities. Instead of honoring the brave men who lost their lives on the beaches during D-Day, Obama instead goes to a gala theatre event.
On June 6, 1944, the D-Day invasion of Europe took place during World War II as Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. America lost 2,499 of its finest men that day.
Maybe Obama needs a history lesson as to why the world actually is free and who’s blood made it that way. From not attending a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery this past Memorial Day to this … Commander in Chief, eh? From the Gateway Pundit comes the follwong comment that Obama made at the gala on the Anniversary of D-Day …
Here is what Desmond Tutu told the party crowd tonight:

And, he said this on the anniversary of D-Day?
