We would like to wish every one a Happy, Safe and Joyous 2013. As we look back over the past year and remember it with fondness and and sorrow in some cases. We look to the future and the new year. We say goodbye to special friends and look forward to meeting new ones. Thank you all for your support. On a personal note I say goodbye to sister who passed away earlier this year from cancer and my long time little guy Doobee who has graced Red with his presence, perspective and unconditional love for 18 amazing years. Both are so dearly missed, until we meet again.

I want to take a moment to thank all the readers, listeners and commenters of Scared Monkeys.com, Scared Monkeys forum, Blink on Crime and Scared Monkeys Radio. You have all made it a very truly memorable year. So many stories, events and personal circumstances that have caused heart ache and joy. A special thanks to all the moderators and admins who devote their time and the folks that send in the stories and those on the front page and forums who comment.

An Obama Happy New Year … Fiscal Cliff or Not Americans Face $1 Trillion Obamacare Tax Hike Hitting on January 1, 2013

Taxation without any responsible representation … The Obama taxes!!!

America, get ready for the tax hikes on everyone that you voted in when Barack Obama won reelection. Thanks to that misguided and uninformed election Americans now face a $1 trillion Obamacare tax hike beginning January 1, 2013 … Happy New Year. So you thought that by participating in Obama’s class warfare against the so called rich would not effect you, eh? Think again … it all trickles down. All these Obamacare taxes and Obamacare still does nothing what it originally claimed to do.

$ 1 Trillion !!!

On January 1, regardless of the outcome of fiscal cliff negotiations, Americans will be hit with a $1 trillion Obamacare tax hike.

Obamacare contains twenty new or higher taxes. Five of the taxes hit for the first time on January 1. In total, Americans face a net $1 trillion tax hike for the years 2013-2022, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

1. The Obamacare Medical Device Tax - Medical device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country. Obamacare imposes a new 2.3 percent excise tax on gross sales – even if the company does not earn a profit in a given year.  In addition to killing small business jobs and impacting research and development budgets, this will increase the cost of your health care – making everything from pacemakers to artificial hips more expensive. PSY Christmas Show Bombs Gangnam Style … 25% Less Viewers than 2011

Who could have seen this coming, but everyone … The 31^st annual “Christmas in Washington” concert on TNT was a Gangnam style bomb. The “Christmas in Washington” concert drew 25% less viewers than the year before. How many people refused to watch the Christmas special because President Barack Obama insulted the US troops and their families by confirming he was going to attend after the news had been reported of rapper Psy’s anti-American and anti-military comments?

The 31st annual “Christmas in Washington” concert on TNT December 21 suffered a dramatic 25 percent loss in viewers from the previous year, according to Nielsen Media Research. The 2011 cablecast of “Christmas in Washington” drew 1.5 million viewers. The 2012 showing had only 1.136 million viewers.

The concert, traditionally attended by the President and his family, drew international attention over the scheduled appearance by Gangnam Style rapper PSY (given name Park Jae-sang) when it was revealed the South Korean entertainer had made highly inflammatory, anti-American performances the previous decade.

It would seem that many Americans did not accept Psy’s “I’ve been caught” apology that was hardly sincere. Years earlier, the South Korean rapper sang the following. Wow, who would have imagined that Americans would tune out?
