Obamacare Web Site Crashed on HHS Sec. Sebelius During House Hearings on Obamacare as Sebelius Says Obama has Kept His Promise that “If You Like Your Healthcare Plan You Can Keep It” VIDEO

You just can’t make this stuff up … with the Obama administration, its keeping your promise even when you are obviously not.

Yesterday during the House hearings on Obamacare and the disastrous rollout of  the website Healthcare.gov, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was on the hot seat as she fielded questions from the failed rollout, to security issues, to who is to blame as to was the site even tested. However, Sebelius could not answer the most obvious questions as to whether President Barack Obama kept his promise to the American people when he said repeatedly, “If You Like Your Healthcare Plan You Can Keep It.”

During the House Hearings hearings on the Obamacare website, US Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) asked the question on everyone’s mind  to HHS Secretary Sebelius as to whether Barack Obama kept his promise to “We the People” or was he lying through his teeth?

Blackburn: Before, during and after the law was passed the president said if you like your healthcare plan you can keep it. So is he keeping his promise?

Sebelius: Yes he is.

YES? Um, what part of “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period! If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, period!” doesn’t Sebelius quite get? Because the statement is so ambiguous, isn’t it? That would be sarcasm.

Video Hat Tip - The Gateway Pundit

In keeping with the farce and joke that is Obamacare and its unbelievable, disastrous incompetent rollout … as HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, the individual in charge of overseeing Obamacare and the implementation of the web site and health exchanges, was testifying before the House doing her best to spin and defend the indefensible … Healthcare.gov crashed during her testimony! As we say all the time, nothing is stranger than the truth and you just can’t make this stuff up.

Just minutes before Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was set to testify on Capitol Hill, the Healthcare.gov site crashed. Spot checks verified that the State of North Carolina, Virginia, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, New York, Maryland, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Kentucky, Minnesota, and New Hampshire are all down – which likely means the entire federal site is down.

The site was still down thirty-minutes into Sebelius’ testimony.

UPDATE I: Kathleen Sebelius apologizes for Obamacare website fiasco while Obama defends law in Boston.

Go figure, Barack Obama was less contrite in his tone and instead of apologizing, he doubled down and defended it.

Sebelius, the Health and Human Services secretary, apologized to the nation for the botched launch of the Affordable Care Act in testimony before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

“In these early weeks, access to health care has been a miserably frustrating experience,” the former Kansas governor said.

“Let me say directly to these Americans: you deserve better,” Sebelius said. “I apologize.”

President Obama struck a less contrite tone in Boston as he defended the law by touting successes of the Massachusetts measure it was modeled on.

Obama Administration Was Warned About Obamacare Health Care Website (Healthcare.gov) Was Not Ready to Go Live

The Obama administration was warned one month before the October 1 rollout date that the Obamacare web site, Healthcare.gov, was a no go. But as we now know, Healthcare.gov was launched any how and was a complete and total, embarrassing disaster.

And the problems were just a matter of time. For a “severe” and “high priority” problem, CGI warned that the company “does not have access to necessary tools to manage envs [environments] in test, imp,  and prod,” three stages of site development where the page is tested, improved and produced.

“Specifically (1) we don’t have access to central log collection / view (2) we don’t have access to monitoring tools,” the documents reads. “We have repeatedly asked CMS and URS but have not been granted this access.”

From CNN:

The Obama administration was given stark warnings just one month before launch that the federal healthcare site was not ready to go live, according to a confidential report obtained by CNN.

The caution, from the main contractor CGI, warned of a number of open risks and issues for the HealthCare.gov web site even as company executives were testifying publicly that the project had achieved key milestones.

On Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Medicaid Chief Marilyn Tavenner, whose job it was to oversee the October 1 rollout of the website, said she did not foresee its problems.

“No, we had tested the website and we were comfortable with its performance,” she said. “Now, like I said, we knew all along there would be as with any new website, some individual glitches we would have to work out. But, the volume issue and the creation of account issues was not anticipated and obviously took us by surprise. And did not show up in testing.”

Here are the docs from CGI.

Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) Says of HHS Sec. Sebelius on ABC’s ‘This Week’ … “She’s Lost Considerable Credibility. She’s the Laughingstock of America.”

HHS Sec. Sebelius is a microcosm of the Obama presidency …

During the Sunday talk show ‘This Week’ on ABC, Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) stated that HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has “lost considerable credibility” and that “she’s the laughingstock of America”. The rollout of Obamacare on October 1 has been nothing short of a disaster. The Keystone cops look more organized and functional as compared to the web site Healthcare.gov and the numerous glitches and major technical and coding problems. Sebelius was basically the project manager of Obamacare and has failed so miserably that even SNL could no longer avoid the situation at hand to make fun of. However, what is most sad is that the reality of the comedy of errors with the Obamacare rollout and Barack Obama’s and Sebelius’ comments and excuses were even more funny than the SNL skit.  Well, it might be more funny if it had not caused so much trouble for America and is about to screw up 1/6th of the US economy.

A Republican senator called Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius the “laughingstock of America” after she was lampooned on “Saturday Night Live.”

The sketch, which aired Saturday, poked fun at Sebelius’s attempts to downplay serious problems with ObamaCare’s enrollment website.

Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) referred to the skit Sunday during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”

“She’s lost considerable credibility,” Barrasso said of Sebelius. “She’s the laughingstock of America.”

As everyone focuses on the website disastrous launch of Obamacare, we are reminded of a little tid-bit that many seem to be forgetting.  From ABC’s ‘This Week,’ Sen.  Barrasso also went on to say, “the website was supposed to be the easy part of this. This is just the tip of the iceberg of problems, with bigger problems to come.”

In the end, the Obama administration and presidency has been a laughingstock. It would appear that SNL thinks Sebelius is a laughing stock as well. But the joke is on all of us; however, no one is really laughing?

SNL Rips HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius & the Falied Obamacare Website Launch … “Millions of Americans of Americans are visiting Healthcare.gov … Unfortunately the site was only designed to handle six users at a time”

Even Saturday Night Live could not ignore the disastrous train-wreck launch of the Obamacare website, Healthcare.gov …

SNL ripped HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the Obamacare launch in their opening skit, “now a lot of folks have been talking about our new healthcare enrollment website. How it’s been crashing and freezing and shutting down and stalling and not working and breaking and sucking”. In the skit Sebelius went on to make excuses for the delays and slow running, malfunctioning site, “we’re probably just loaded with traffic. Millions of Americans of Americans are visiting Healthcare.gov, which is great news. Unfortunately the site was only designed to handle six users at a time”.

The skit was just amazingly brutal to the screw up that has been the Obamacare website launch. However, it is not like 60% of Americans do not think it was a joke already. As brutal as the skit was, it could have been even worse.

However, what is sad is that SNL could have just repeated verbatim comments made by Sebelius HERE and HERE, Barack Obama and Press Sec. Jay Carney. To make matters worse Barack Obama gave out the telephone number to call if individuals could not access the website and … wait for it, wait for it … the phones were busy and gave messages referring people back to the failed website. You just can’t make this stuff up.

Another Obamacare Fiasco … Data Center Used In the Online Sign-Up Process Failed Sunday

More from Barack Obama and the Gang that could not shoot straight …

A data center critical for allowing uninsured Americans sign up for Obamacare crashed Sunday. HHS was quick to blame some one else quickly stating that the on-line sign up process failed because the private contractor, Verizon’s Terremark, running the data hub experienced a “failure in the networking component that brought down network connectivity to the site.” Sorry, but it is the cumulative effect of the colossal failures of the rollout of the Obamacare website and it appears that it is still plagued with errors.

Not Again!!!

A data center critical for allowing uninsured Americans to buy health coverage under President Barack Obama’s health care law went down Sunday, halting online enrollment for all 50 states in the latest problem to hit the program’s troubled rollout.

The data center operated by Verizon’s Terremark experienced a connectivity issue that caused it to shut down, affecting the federal government’s already problem-plagued online marketplace Healthcare.gov and similar sites operated by 14 states and the District of Columbia, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Obama administration and company officials could not say how long it would take to fix the connectivity problem.

The Politico:

Visitors to the federal exchange were unable to access the website late Sunday. A spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Human Services said that’s because the private contractor running the data hub experienced a “failure in the networking component that brought down network connectivity to the site.”

“Today, Terremark had a network failure that is impacting a number of their clients including HealthCare.gov,” HHS spokeswoman Joanne Peters said in a statement. “Secretary Sebelius spoke with the CEO of Verizon this afternoon to discuss the situation and they committed to fixing the problem as soon as possible.”

HHS said the failure is likely affecting other sites besides just HealthCare.gov and the federal data hub.
