It would appear that some Dutch news publications are not too keen either on the investigation lead by Gerold Dompig in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. They are extremely critical and make many comments that many in the US and the family have been making for quite some time.
They are describing the methods used by the investigative team “strange and unprofessional”. They are also critical of the actions of acting chief of police Gerold Dompig.

Experts crack research in Holloway case
Tuesday April 4 2006 – DEN HAAG — Dutch legal scholars are strongly critical of the Aruban police investigation into the disappearance of the missing American teenager Natalee Holloway. They are describing the methods used by the investigative team “strange and unprofessional”. They are also critical of the actions of acting chief of police Gerold Dompig.
“It is unfathomable that the police didn’t start looking for Natalee’s body immediately after having received an important tip-off”, according to Menno Dolmam, Dolman teaches criminal law at the University of Amsterdam. The place in the dunes where they searched last week was left totally undisturbed for weeks, which could have meant the loss of vital clues.

It took a months after the anonymous source called Dompig in tears with information about the spot where Natalee supposedly was buried, before Aruban authorities came into action. “That is highly curious”, according to Maastricht legal psychologist Peter van Koppen. Usually such an area is cordoned off immediately. “To dig and take samples.” But not on Aruba.

Gerold Dompig: The dog and pony show continues in Aruba
And now for our next attraction …
The dog and pony show put on by ALE ranks up there with Barnum and Bailey’s
Greatest Show On Earth. The newest less-than-timely act is the KLPD trained dogs bit.
Jet fighter planes in the sky were thrilling also. (Vanderbilt – ‘06)
After three months since a credible tip came in the dunes will be searched. After turning down help from the FBI for dogs and radar equipment Dompig now has some of the help in place. After turning down free help months ago from Texas EquuSearch Dompig is ready to search.
So why the delay? The reason for the delay cannot be because there is a lot of sand to search. That excuse does not work when the equipment is not even in Aruba to conduct a search. It is used after the help has arrived and to explain why a search being conducted has not yet been finished.
What will be the next attraction in this three ring circus?
Bon Dia: Gerold Dompig’s interview with CBS was to set Aruba’s image straight
Gerold Dompig’s interview was to set Aruba’s image straight
Suggestion in the CBS program that Joran vd Sloot took Natalee Holloway to his house and not the beach
As said in the initial declaration
Bon Dia: March 28, 2006
ORANJESTAD — Joran vd Sloot did not take Natalee Holloway to the beach, but to his house. One of the many revelations and suggestions that interim High Commissioner Gerold Dompig shared with Troy Roberts of CBS Saturday night in the program ’48 Hours — Mystery’ A much anticipated program due to the information that Dompig gave that was not before known, especially by the American media. A program, that according to CBS, Dompig made with the authorization of his superiors and that had as a goal to set straight all bad information Aruba has had to ‘deal’ with during the last months.
Among them, the bad image that was tried to be painted of our judicial system, and the police’s work in this investigation

Amigoe: Tracker dogs arrived in Aruba, Search for Natalee Holloway
After nearly three months since the “credible tip” came in to Aruban authorities, “a delegation of four Dutch police officers and two special trained tracker dogs” arrived in Aruba yesterday to search the sand dunes. The lack of urgency has made many question the credibility of the tip and the motives of the ALE as to why this was not acted upon sooner. Also, there is another team that has still not even reached Aruba yet. What the delay there is, is anyone’s guess.
Amigoe; March 29, 2006: Tracker dogs arrived in Aruba
ARUBA — A delegation of four Dutch police officers and two special trained tracker dogs together with field Public Prosecutor Karin Janssen arrived in Aruba yesterday afternoon. A second delegation is expected to arrive later. The dogs will be used to search a certain area in the sand hills. The suspicion is that Natalee Holloway is (re)buried in that area. Chief of Police Gerold Dompig prepared the investigation in the Netherlands a few weeks ago.
