Fire Up the Biden Gaffe-o-Meter … VP Does it Again … Does not Know Name of Recovery.gov

It was only a matter of time before VP Joe Biden served up one of his gaffes that he has become all to known for.

This time he forgets the name of RECOVERY.GOV … What’s the website number. Number? So one of the most important spending bills ever, as claimed by Obama, and his VP does not even remember the name of the web site. Priceless. Does anyone think that the MSM would not have had a field day if GWB or Sarah Palin made these remarks.

That is reassuring. Obama’s VP does not even know the name of the web site that claims to show Americans full transparency and accountability American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Hmm … Barack Obama Approval Index Rating Continues a Steady Decline … The Bloom is off the Rose

It looks like the luster has faded from the Barack “Obamamessiah” Obama Presidential approval rating according to the Rasmussen report. Presently, Obama has a Presidential Approval Index rating of +11 that is down from just a week ago when he was at +21. (see daily trends here) Obama’s Presidential Approval Index is drastically down since he first was sworn into office when it was a +28 to +30.

Overall, 59% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance so far while 39% disapprove. Today’s results mark the first time that Obama’s overall rating has fallen below 60% as either President-elect or President.

So what took the bloom off the rose? Obama’s actions as President vs. voters perception, maybe. We would concur with The Gateway Pundit, that it has taken less than one month to accomplish the following:

All it took was one month, a few tax cheats, expanding abortion funding, closing Gitmo, moving the US Census to the White House, putting 25,000 US companies at risk and the most expensive piece of legislation in American history to drive his numbers southward to 59-39.

Making matters worse, only 37% support the stimulus package and 50% say that the Stimulus plan will make things worse. Also, America is evenly divided on Obama’s change from hope to fear in attempting to pass his stimulus plan.

Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi Says 500 Million a Month Will Lose Jobs Without Stimulus Package

Some people will say anything to get an unpopular bill passed …

Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stated that 500 million Americans a month will lose their jobs unless we pass the pork heavy $900 billion dollar stimulus package. Is this fear mongering or just plain stupidity? Was this a gaffe on Pelosi’s part or is she willing to say anything to get this unpopular stimulus package through even if it means misrepresenting the fact?

500 million Americans? Really? Last I checked and it appears that Stop the ACLU has the same stats, there are only approximately 300 million Americans living in the US. I realize that present day Congress cannot differentiate between millions and billions when it comes to taxing Americans; however, one would like to think that Nancy Pelosi knows how many people actually live in the United States. Talk about being out of touch with your constituents.

Barack Obama’s brother, George Obama, was arrested in Kenya for possession of marijuana, but did he in hail? It would appear that Obama’s little brother is still living in the Nairobi slum. We would ask the same question as The Gateway Pundit does, how would the media have handles this story if George W. Bush was the President and his half brother was arrested for pot possession? I think we know the answer. Interestingly enough the media is making the point that Obama and George barely know each other. So!

There is no truth to the rumor that George Obama was seen hanging with 14 time Olympic gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps doing bong hits. The Audacity of Dope, indeed.

Speaking of DOPES!!! It is being reported that Michael Phelps was caught in several  pictures smoking a bong at a University of South Carolina party in early November, 2008. According to reports from The Star Magazine he was partying like it was 1999.

This is why Olympic athletes are to always keep training and never take time off to be distracted by the far too many temptations in life. The squeaky clean, All-American boy image of Michael Phelps is gone. No longer will he be on a box of Wheaties, but instead Zig-zag paper. Is Michael Phelps endorsement and Olympic career … Up in Smoke?

Olympic great Michael Phelps acknowledged “regrettable” behavior and “bad judgment” after a photo in a British newspaper Sunday showed him inhaling from a marijuana pipe.

In a statement to The Associated Press, the swimmer who won a record eight gold medals at the Beijing Games did not dispute the authenticity of the exclusive picture published Sunday by the tabloid News of the World.

“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said in the statement released by one of his agents. “I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”

Finally, proof positive that Barack Obama is not the Messiah. It would appear that President Obama has not figured out which are the windows and which are the doors at the Oval Office. Will we see this picture over and over on cable and comedy shows? Hardly, because something as funny as a President walking into a window is only relegated for Republicans and GWB. The perception of Obama being a rookie President cannot be the image sent out to the people, even though it was damn funny. Late night comedy talk shows have said they don’t do skits on Obama, because there is no funny material. Really?

Can you imagine is George W. Bush had done something like this? Oh wait, he did. The 2005 departure from a press conference in Bejing China when GWB tugged on the locked door handles. To his defense, at least it did have a door handle. Of course with media bias, one event is lightly reported, the other becomes and endless video loop.
