BREAKING: Shooting has been reported at the Columbia Mall in Columbia, Maryland
The Howard County Fire Department is reporting an active shooter situation at the Mall in Columbia. Both the Howard County police and fire departments are on the scene. The fire department is advising people to avoid the area.
The Howard County Police confirmed that they were responding to a shooting at the mall, but they could not confirm whether anyone had been injured or shots had been fired.
The Mall at Columbia is a “gun free” zone … in other words, an easy target for those who could care less about the laws and look to kill people.

Howard Count Department of Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Denise Weist told WTOP radio the department received the call at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Police and fire officials are on the scene. There are no immediate reports of injuries.

Emergency at Columbia Mall reported active shooter, the mall is in lock down and people are asked to avoid the area.
UPDATE III: CNN is reporting that Hoard County Police are confirming that 3 people are dead. … Baltimore Sun also reporting 3 people are dead, one considered shooter.
Authorities Saturday were investigating reports of an active shooter at a shopping mall in Columbia, Maryland.
There was no word on injuries but local scanner reports had authorities requesting multiple mass casualty units.

UPDATE VI: Victims of Maryland mall shooting identified.
The suspect, armed with a shotgun, was among the victims at The Mall in Columbia, Howard County Police Chief Bill McMahon said. Police said a fourth victim was being treated for a gunshot wound to the foot. Four other people either suffered from medical conditions or suffered minor injuries such as twisted ankles, he said.
Brianna Benlolo, 21, of College Park, Md., and Tyler Johnson, 25, of Ellicott City, Md., were killed, police said. The identity of the gunman had not been released.
McMahon said the bodies were found in Zumiez, an apparel store catering to skaters, surfers and snowboarders, on the mall’s upper level. Benlolo and Johnson were employees of the store, he said. The shooter’s body was found still laden with ammunition, so McMahon said caution was being used and an identity had not been made.

UPDATE VIII: Police ID mall shooter as 19 year old Darion Marcus Aguilar.
Darion Marcus Aguilar, a 19-year-old College Park resident, has been identified by police as the assailant in Saturday’s shooting at the Mall in Columbia, which left three people dead, including the shooter.
Although one of the victims, Brianna Benlolo, 21, also lived in College Park, police have not established a connection between Aguilar and the victims, Howard County Police Chief William J. McMahon said at a Sunday morning news conference.

23 Year Old Jonathan M. Schaff Missing Since 1/18/14 in Granville, NY
23 year old Jonathan M. Schaff from Fairfield, VT has been missing since Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Granville, New York. Schaff was last seen around 4:30 a.m. after an altercation at Riverside Pub on Main Street in Granville. According to the Granville Police, Schaff suffered a cut to his head and his glasses were broken during the bar fight; however, he was not believed to have been seriously injured. Police said that Schaff had been drinking, but it was unclear whether he was intoxicated. [Editors note, um, if you are drinking in a Granville bar and getting into a fight, you were intoxicated.] Schaff was last seen walking east on Main Street, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, brown Carhartt jacket and blue jeans. Schaff is described as 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. Police said Schaff and two friends had parked a their car at Loomis Trucking, near the state line, and walked a half-mile or so to the Granville bar.

Jonathan M. Schaff, 23, was last seen around 4:30 a.m. after an altercation at Riverside Pub on Main Street in Granville, according to Granville Police. He was reported missing late Saturday afternoon.
Dozens of searchers from New York and New England returned to an area along the state line that is dotted with slate quarries and streams, looking for clues as to where Schaff has gone. The search expanded to an area north along county Route 25 and Vermont Route 31 later Monday, after cell phone data potentially placed his phone further north, police said. It was unclear what the time frame was for the phone data, however.
The search was called off for the day at dusk Monday, and was to resume Tuesday morning.
Granville Police said Schaff suffered a cut to his head and his glasses were broken during the fight. He was not believed to have been seriously injured. No arrests were reported by police in connection with the fight. Police said he had been drinking, but it was unclear whether he was intoxicated, police said.
He was last seen walking east on Main Street, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, brown Carhartt jacket and blue jeans.

A Fair Haven man is thought to be in the Pawlet area after disappearing early Saturday morning following a pub fight in Granville, N.Y., Vermont State Police said Monday.
Schaff left the Riverside Pub on foot, and he was last seen walking east on East Main Street in the area of the New York-Vermont state line, police said. Cell phone data collected by police placed Schaff possibly in the area of Sheldon’s Concrete or Newmont Slate Company on Vermont 149 in Pawlet.
Anyone with information in the case was asked to call Granville Police at 642-1414 or Vermont State Police at 802-773-9101.

20 year old Jena Chisholm is missing ans was last seen on December 19, 2013 at her home in Florence, Kentucky where she lives with her father, Tim Chisholm. Jena’s sister, 16-year-old Josie Chisholm said, “She [Jena] told me she was going to Vegas but she told me she was going after Christmas.” However, Jena Chisholm disappeared before that on the night of Dec. 19th. According to reports, Jena’s father said that he awoke the morning of December 20th to a note on the table that said she went to stay with a friend of hers … we had a great breakfast and day and that she’d be back for a doctor’s appointment on the 26th.” Jena left her home in a 2006 powder blue Volkswagen Beetle convertible with Kentucky plates: 316 MYB.
When Jena didn’t show up for her appointment, her family became concerned.
“We had put the find a phone application on…and she’s already outside St. Louis, Missouri at that time,” Tim said.
Jena took her dog Chamber with her. Her parents say she loved Chamber and took him everywhere.
They would soon find Jena’s location using an iPhone tracking app. She went to Albuquerque, N.M., Las Vegas, Los Angeles, then back to Las Vegas.
“We tried to call, we tried to text, she didn’t answer a thing,” said Jena’s mom, Tina Chisholm.
Jena’s phone was shut off on the 26th and has not been turned on since. Now, she is untraceable.

UPDATE I: Missing Jena Chisholm’s dog found in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The missing girls dog was found tied up outside a hotel near the Las Vegas strip. The dog, Chamber, was tied to a fence outside of the Diamond Inn motel. Hotel management said that the dog was found abandoned in one of the rooms.
Tom Scheben, spokesman for the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky, said Jena Chisholm’s dog was found tied to a fence outside the Diamond Inn, which is across the street from Mandalay Bay. He said a cleaning crew found the dog inside one of the rooms and put it outside.
“My gut was telling me, based on the motel she was in, something wasn’t right,” said Melanie Downard, the Las Vegas woman who found Jena Chisholm’s dog. She was able to connect with the missing woman’s family after conducting an online search. She says the family has arranged for the dog to be flown back to Kentucky on Friday.
“We do not think she would leave her dog behind willingly,” said McArtor, who described Jena Chisholm as an animal lover. She said the abandoned dog coupled with the fact that Jena Chisholm had recently began undergoing evaluations for a mental illness has the family concerned for her safety.

Metro Police say the car of a 20-year-old woman who vanished from Kentucky has been found in Las Vegas. The vehicle was located on Cambridge Street near Twain Avenue and Maryland Parkway.

A 20-yearold woman who was reported missing Dec. 20 after she unexpectedly left home in Kentucky has been seen at a Las Vegas casino, police and her father said Friday.
Jena Chisholm appeared disheveled and homeless, but wasn’t detained by security officers who questioned her and a man she was with at about 10 p.m. Thursday at the Quad casino, Tim Chisholm told The Associated Press.
“I know she’s alive and walking around Las Vegas, at least last night,” Tim Chisholm said from his home near Florence, Ky. “My initial concern was that she was hurt, abducted or doing drugs.”
Chisholm said his daughter showed her Kentucky driver’s license before she and the unidentified man were allowed to go. Later, the security officers realized Chisholm was the focus of a search by her family, Las Vegas police and sheriff’s officials in Boone County, Ky.

A Kentucky woman who was reported missing by her family last month has been found in the Las Vegas Valley.
Jena Chisholm, 20, reportedly left her northern Kentucky home on Dec. 19 and was reported missing by her family after she failed to show up for a doctor’s appointment Dec. 26. Metro Police Lt. John Loretto said she was found late Friday, offering no other details.
Officer Laura Meltzer said someone made contact with her last night without realizing that she was reported missing. Officers tried to contact her, but police did not issue a critical missing person report.
There were no signs that Chisholm was ever in danger.
UPDATE V: Jena Chisholm Found Safe … Headed Home to Kentucky with Family.
Many have asked how Jena is doing now. She stayed the night with her family at a hotel in Vegas and hopefully will be heading home to Kentucky today. Her mom says she wanted to come home but couldn’t figure out how. She lost her car keys, phone and dog. Had no money left and just kept dealing with it. It didn’t occur to her to borrow a phone. She had her mom’s credit card but didn’t want to spend the money. She slept in parking garages. She was helped every day by kind people In Las Vegas who gave her food. Other kind people searched for her and shared her picture. We are forever grateful and humbled by this kindness. We need to continue to help all families searching for missing members, when there’s no contact we can’t be certain the missing just doesn’t want to be found.

Reported Tonight on Phil Valentine Show 99.7 FM That Cracker Barrel Restaurants Pulling Phil Robertson’s Duck Dynasty Merchandise off Shelves … Cracker Barrel Makes It Official (UPDATE: Cracker Barrel Reverses Decision)
It was reported tonight on the Phil Valentine Radio Show, on Super Talk 99.7, WTN-FM, that Cracker Barrel restaurants in Alabama and Tennessee were pulling Phil Robertson merchandise off their shelves. According to accounts and eye witnesses that were at Cracker Barrels and had contacted them, the edict supposedly came from corporate. According to what was being reported, it was only merchandise with Phil’s likeness, not all ‘Duck Dynasty’ merch.
If this proves to be true that Cracker Barrel actually took it upon themselves to pull the merchandise, they are going to feel the wrath of their customers as it would appear they do not know who their customer truly is.

Rather interesting that the Duck Dynasty merchandise sells out at Walmart, yet Cracker Barrel takes a different approach.
Have received many text messages & emails of merchandise being pulled from many stores by individuals calling CB’s and actually going to them.

COLORADO SCHOOL SHOOTING: Shooting at Arapahoe High School, One Injured, Gunman Dead … Gunman ID’d as 18 Year Old Karl Halverson Pierson
Sadly, another shooting to report, this time from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado. The shooting took place on Friday afternoon as the gunman entered the high school with a shotgun at approximately 12:33 p.m., near the student parking lot, he asked for the teacher by name. During the gun fire, a 15 year old girl was shot and injured and was listed in critical condition at an area hospital. Eventually the shooter turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. The school is eight miles from Columbine.
A student identified as 18-year-old Karl Halverson Pierson walked into a Colorado high school with a shotgun Friday, possibly seeking revenge against a teacher, and critically wounded another student before apparently killing himself, police said.
The injured student, a 15-year-old girl, was listed in critical condition at an area hospital. Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said a second student, initially thought to have suffered a gunshot wound, was actually not injured and only covered with blood from the first victim.
The second student was released from the hospital Friday night.
Robinson also said two Molotov cocktails were found at the scene. One was ignited either “immediately prior to or during the shots being fired,” he said, releasing a “significant amount” of smoke. The second was not deployed and rendered safe.
UPDATE I: The shooter has been identified as 18-year-old Karl Halverson Pierson. The incident appears to be an attempted at revenge against the school’s librarian, Tracy Murphy, who was head of the school’s speech and debate team and who had recently kicked Pierson off the team.
Karl Halverson Pierson was the Arapahoe High School student gunman who shot a student inside the school while seeking “revenge” on a staff member, the Arapahoe County Sheriff confirmed Friday night.
Pierson, 18, went into the school armed with a shotgun looking for the school’s librarian, Tracy Murphy — who was head of the school’s speech and debate team and who had recently kicked Pierson off the team, sources told the CALL7 Investigators.
“We were just in the library doing some work and we heard a loud bang. I thought it might have been someone dropping something, but then I heard two more,” said senior Max Minne. “I knew it was a gun for sure.”
Minne, who was studying in the library during his 5th period class, said he started to approach the front door of the library to see what was happening.
“The shooter just ripped through the door, started yelling, ‘Where’s Murphy?’ — That’s the main librarian of the school. I saw him bust through the door of the library with a gun, so I just took off and started yelling, ‘Everyone get out! Everyone get out!’”
UPDATE II: Arapahoe High gunman held strong political beliefs, but he does not look like a Tea Party member. Actually, he appears to be a socialist.
The teenage gunman who entered Arapahoe High School on Friday afternoon and shot two fellow students with a shotgun was outspoken about politics, was a gifted debater and might have been bullied for his beliefs, according to students who knew him.
In one Facebook post, Pierson attacks the philosophies of economist Adam Smith, who through his invisible-hand theory pushed the notion that the free market was self-regulating. In another post, he describes himself as “Keynesian.”
Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing “you republicans are so cute” and posting an image that reads: “The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ‘em Die, Climate Change: Let ‘em Die, Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ‘em Die, More War: Let ‘em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?”
Carl Schmidt and Brendon Mendelson, both seniors at Arapahoe High, knew Pierson. They said he had political views that were “outside the mainstream,” but they did not elaborate.
Out of the mainstream, really? Has anyone seen lately what the Democrat/Socialist party has been spewing lately? The PJ Tatler makes a very good observation in that Pierson’s political views hardly seem out of the mainstream for Democrats or so they seem very deep thinking. They are the same as Nancy Pelosi talking points (VIDEO) against the GOP.
But oh the all too common hypocrisy from the LEFT, he mocked Republicans, “Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die,” yet Karl Halverson Pierson takes a shotgun into the high school to cause violence and death.
