Oregon School Suspends 8th Grader Alan Holmes Over Battlefield Cross T-shirt Supporting Our Troops

OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM IS STUCK ON STUPID …

The Dexter McCarty Middle School in Gresha, Oregon has suspended an 8th grader, Alan Holme, for wearing a Battlecross t-shirt to school that supported out United States military. REALLY? The school gave the boy the choice between changing his shirt or going home. This wise and proud young American chose to go home. Alan Holmes stated, “I’m not changing into a Dexter shirt. They won’t let me wear a shirt that supports the people that keep us free, I’m not going to support them.” The loser from the school district responded with, “we have a policy on student dress and grooming. Weapons on a shirt are not appropriate in a school setting.” Really, patriotism and what allows a school to freely teach has nothing to do with our US Military?

Hmm, so the school can’t differentiate between supporting our trooper and the depiction of a gun promoting violence? Just curious, does the school system differentiate between good touch and bad touch? How about Muslims and radical Islam? Yeah, I thought so. This is just another case where the student has more common sense than adults. This is just more liberal, weeny indoctrination in our schools.

An Oregon middle school cracked down last week on a student who showed up in a battlefield cross T-shirt that said, “Standing for those who stood for us.”

Eighth-grader Alan Holmes’ T-shirt imagery of a rifle, helmet and boots denoting loss may have symbolized patriotism to him, but not to administrators at Dexter McCarty Middle School in Gresham who demanded the boy change his shirt and then suspended him when he refused.

“I’m not changing into a Dexter shirt,” the 13-year-old told Fox 12. “They won’t let me wear a shirt that supports the people that keep us free, I’m not going to support them.”

The showdown with the principal over Alan’s T-shirt took place Wednesday while emotions were still roiling in the state over the mass shooting at Umqua Community College that left a teacher and eight students dead.

15 Year Old Idaho School Boy Threatened to ‘Kill all the Girls’ Because Cheerleaders Wouldn’t send him any ‘Freaking Nudes’

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH SCHOOL KIDS TODAY …

A 15 year old male suspect finds himself in a word of trouble today for threats he made that closed down the Highland High School in Idaho. The boy is charged with one count of threatening violence at a school and another count of telephone harassment. This screwed up kid made violent threats on social media that he would ‘kill all the girls’ because cheerleaders wouldn’t send him any ‘freaking nudes’. SERIOUSLY?

Remember when you could give a kid a good smack upside his head and knock some sense into them? So who thinks that this kid has some issues? But of course had he gone through with his threats of violence and harmed individuals, guns would have been to blame.

Screenshots of threatening posts shared on Facebook

An Idaho school was placed on lockdown after a student threatened to “kill all the girls” because none of them would send him nude photos.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with one count each of threatening violence at a school and telephone harassment in connection with the threats — which spread quickly across social media Wednesday morning and were then reported to officials at the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District.

Police immediately initiated a controlled access code at Highland High School as officers investigated the threat.

“Some kid who was having attention problems with specifically the cheerleaders, didn’t get nudes,” said student Isaac Gomez. “He was asking for some inappropriate things.”

The teen allegedly posted the threats on both Facebook and Twitter, saying he intended to bring a gun to school and kill all the girl students, and shared detailed plans for how he would enter the school and eventually kill himself in the weight room.

A screenshot posted online by KIDK-TV appears to show a text message conversation between the teen and a friend who tries to talk the boy out of his violent plot, which he intended to carry out about 9:30 a.m. Friday.

“(I’m) serious I have a 12 gauge shotgun and a 9 mm pistol I will bring and start killing everyone,” one message said. “I also have hunting knives I can bring.”

Two Edina, MN Elementary Schools Hire Recess Consultant … Phrases like, “Hey, you’re out!” are replaced with “good job” or “nice try.”

FROM THE YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME FILES …

Two Edina elementary schools have hired a recess consultant to police the politics of the playground. Of course they are going to do it in a PC manner. What has this country and more importantly our schools become? So this is the role of the recess consultant to make recess more inclusive and beneficial to children and more structured and if phrases like, “Hey, you’re out!” are replaced with “good job” or “nice try.” GOOD GRIEF!!! All these fools are doing is creating generations of kids who have no ability to cope or adapt to tough situations. Sheltering children is not the answer folks. Because its all about making everyone feel good. No wonder kids cannot deal with difficult situations anymore. Although I must admit, I was shocked that recess even exists anymore.

Two Edina elementary schools, worried about the politics of the playground, are taking an unusual step to police it: They have hired a recess consultant.

Some parents have welcomed the arrival of the firm Playworks, which says recess can be more inclusive and beneficial to children if it’s more structured and if phrases like, “Hey, you’re out!” are replaced with “good job” or “nice try.”

But some of the kids at Concord and Normandale Elementary say they are confused, or that the consultants are ruining their play time.

“The philosophy of Playworks does not fit Concord,” said Kathy Sandven, a parent of twin boys who attend the school. “It is a structured philosophy — an intervention philosophy — not allowing kids for free play.”

The two schools have joined a growing number of districts that have hired consultants to remake the playground experience into more structured and inclusive play time. The games and activities, like four square and jumping rope, are overseen by adults and designed to reduce disciplinary problems while ensuring that no children are left out.

Four Northern California high school students have been arrested in connection with what law enforcement officials called a highly detailed plan to shoot and kill fellow students and teachers, just days after a mass shooting on a community college campus in rural Oregon.

The four, all students at Summerville High School in Tuolumne, Calif., “were going to come on campus and shoot and kill as many people as possible at the campus,” Sheriff James W. Mele of Tuolumne County said at a news conference on Saturday.

Sheriff Mele did not identify the students other than to say all were male juveniles. Tuolumne is about 120 miles east of San Francisco.

Investigators have found no clear motive for the planned attack, Sheriff Mele said, but he said that “the suspects’ plans were very detailed in nature and included names of would-be victims, locations and methods in which the plan was to be carried out.” The students planned to open fire during an event at school, he said, and “were in the process of trying to obtain these weapons.”

Officials said the plot was foiled on Wednesday when a group of students alerted a teacher after they overheard three of the four discussing a plan to open fire on the school.
