Chicago Parents Outraged Over Fifth Grade Sex Ed Class Teaching Age Appropriate Joys of Female Condoms & Anal Sex & Lube

READING, WRITING AND FEMALE CONDOMS FOR ANAL SEX …

Parents got quite the eye-opening education this past Wednesday at the Andrew Jackson Language Academy, one of the city’s elite magnet schools. The school hosted a meeting on Chicago Public Schools’ newest sex ed curriculum to give parents a sneak peak at the upcoming sex-education curriculum that 10 and 11 year old Johnny and Suzie would be learning. To the parents shock, the binder they were provided of so-called age appropriate information included the benefits of female condoms for extending sex, increasing pleasure and encouraged using lubrication. Then there was the use of female condoms for anal sex. YIKES!!! My how the times have changed and not for the better. When one parent, Amy Miller, got a close look at what her daughter might learn she said,

“To tell my 5th-grader, who’s still into ‘Little House on the Prairie,’ that it’s OK to have safe anal sex — I’m sorry. That’s just not appropriate.”

Parents at a Near West Side school say they are “shocked” and “horrified” after viewing a new sex education curriculum intended for fifth-graders, saying the way the information is presented is over the top and not age-appropriate.

During report card pickup Wednesday at Andrew Jackson Language Academy, the school hosted several parent workshops, including an afternoon meeting on Chicago Public Schools’ newest sex ed curriculum.

At one point, parents could view materials intended for students. A binder labeled as the curriculum for students in fifth grade touted the benefits of female condoms for extending sex and increasing pleasure and encouraged using lubrication.

The chairwoman of the Local School Council, Angela Bryant, called the way the information was to be presented to students “appalling” and not age-appropriate.

In a statement Friday afternoon, CPS officials said that the objectional material presented at Jackson was a mistake.

“It is not and never was part of the student sexual education curriculum,” CPS spokesman Bill McCaffrey wrote. “It was mistakenly downloaded and included in the parent presentation, and we agree with parents it is not appropriate for elementary school students.”

REALLY? That is not what CPS spokesman Bill McCaffrey is saying below. He is saying, it is part of the curricilum and it is up to the parents to opt out. Sorry, you should have to opt in, not out.

Dr. Stephanie Whyte, chief officer of student health and wellness at CPS, plans to schedule a meeting with Jackson’s staff to review the curriculum by grade. A community meeting will also be planned, McCaffrey said.

Under the new sex ed guidelines, 5th grade students are typically taught about contraception, McCaffrey confirmed. The discussion includes use of female condoms, he said.

Officials have said parents can opt their children out of school sex-ed classes by providing written notice to a school.

Parents were notified of Wednesday’s presentation in a letter from school principal Mathew Ditto. The letter said a CPS representative would be at the meeting where “we will share the lessons and information that will be taught to your child.” CPS has said some of the lessons are even intended for children in kindergarten.

Rhode Island Police Receive Threat to Behead Elementary School Students

SICK, JUST SICK … BUT THAT IS WHAT TERRORISM IS.

Rhode Island police are stating that they have received a chilling letter with the threat to behead elementary school students in Warwick, Cranston and Johnston. The threat is being taken seriously by police. Many parents are taking the letter serious as well, as they have taken their children out of school and had them stay home. Johnston police received the anonymous threat by mail on Tuesday.

CBS – Connecticut:

Warwick’s police chief says a threat to elementary school students in three communities mentioned beheading.

Col. Steven McCartney tells WPRO-AM that the threat specified that “beheading is planned.” He called the nature of the threat targeting children in Warwick, Cranston and Johnston chilling.

“There was a specific mention of elementary schools in this letter, the other thing which was the specific type of threat, which was beheading, is planned,” McCartney told WPRO.

Johnston police received the anonymous threat by mail on Tuesday. Police say officers will be at every school in Johnston, Cranston and Warwick through Friday.

UPDATE I: Three districts were targeted by an anonymous letter sent to Johnston, Rhode Island Police.

Also Wednesday, state Rep. Deborah Fellela, who represents Johnston, said she plans to introduce a bill that would make it a felony to threaten students in Rhode Island with physical harm. The legislation provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and $100,000 in fines. A judge also could order that restitution be paid to any municipality that responds to a threat.

EXIT THOUGHTS … What is the preferred weapon of choice by Islamist terrorist when beheading innocents? A knife of course. You know the old saying, “don’t bring a knife to a gun fight”. These terror threats against children are just another wake up call to make sure that there is an individual on the premises who is armed and ready to protect.

Dallas, TX Parents Pull Their Children Out of School to Wake of First Ever Diagnosed Case of Ebola

Parents are pulling their children from Dallas, TX schools in wake of Ebola … Wouldn’t you?

In the wake of the first diagnosed case of Ebola in the United States and their children’s possible contact with individuals who may have come in contact with the infected patient, some parents are being cautious and pulling their children from schools.

Some Dallas parents pulled their children out of school Wednesday after health officials said five area children had come into contact with an Ebola patient over the weekend.

The five children were kept at home Wednesday, but that did not stop families from picking up their kids out of fears they might be vulnerable to illness, according to local news reports.

Parents at Sam Tasby Middle School and LL Hotchkiss Elementary were seen picking up their children following Wednesday’s press conference.

Dallas health officials had insisted that no other children were at risk of developing Ebola and urged families to keep their kids in school.

The Ebola patient was identified in news reports as Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian man who had shared a residence with an Ebola-stricken woman prior to his travel to the United States.

Michelle Obama and the Cupcake Police Put an End to School Fundraiser Bake Sales

Could Liberals just stay the hell out of our lives?

Now bake sales for school fundraiser are public enemy number one for liberals. Thanks to the  2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act championed by first lady Michelle Obama, school kids will no longer be able to have cupcake bake sales to raise money. Thanks Michelle, because apples, celery and carrot sticks are not quite the money makers as brownies, cookies and cupcakes. So what does Michelle Obama have against school children raising money for school trips or band and athletic equipment?

Good grief, what ever happened to the America I grew up in where kids could have a bake sale to raise money for their class trip right after playing a game of dodge-ball?

Maybe Michelle should start with you own husband first?

Senator Barack Obama Campaigns To Win Pennsylvania Caucus

But the sales won’t be so sweet starting this fall. Campus bake sales—a mainstay of school fundraisers—are going on a diet. A federal law that aims to curb childhood obesity means that, in dozens of states, bake sales must adhere to nutrition requirements that could replace cupcakes and brownies with fruit cups and granola bars.

Jeff Ellsworth, principal of the kindergarten through eighth-grade school in Chapman, Neb., isn’t quite sure how to break the news to the kids. “The chocolate bars are a big seller,” said Mr. Ellsworth.

The restrictions that took effect in July stem from the 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act championed by first lady Michelle Obama and her “Let’s Move!” campaign. The law overhauled nutrition standards affecting more than 30 million children. Among the changes: fatty french fries were out, while baked sweet potato fries were deemed to be fine.

The law also required the U.S. Department of Agriculture to set standards for all food and beverages sold during the school day, which includes vending machines, snack carts and daytime fundraisers. It allowed for “infrequent” fundraisers, and states were allowed to decide how many bake sales they would have that didn’t meet nutrition standards.

First-grader Darin Simak Accidentally Brings Toy Gun To School, Goes the Right Thing, Turns It In and Gets Suspended

More elementary school ignorance with “zero tolerance” … Maybe school administrators should worry less about common core and more about common sense!!!

First-grader Darin Simak accidentally brought a toy gun to school in his backpack when his mother packed a new bag and missed the machine toy gun, he then did the right thing and notified his teacher of the toy, turned it in and then got what every child should when they do the right thing … SUSPENDED!!! The New Kensington-Arnold School District superintendent said that bringing a toy gun to school violates the district’s policy at the highest level and requires a child to be suspended immediately until a meeting can be held to discuss what happened and whether punishment is warranted. Sorry, that may be the case if the gun was found by a teacher or other school administrator, but not when the child turns in the toy gun himself. What kind of idiots do we have running these schools today?

First-grader Darin Simak is a little shy, a little upset and a little confused about why he can’t go back to Martin Elementary in New Kensington, but he knows it’s the result of him bringing a toy gun to school in his backpack Wednesday.

Jennifer Mathabel said her son left his usual backpack in a friend’s car the night before, so he packed another one but missed the toy gun inside.

“So I send my child to school. My child discovers a fake toy gun at about 1:30 p.m. He turns it in to the teacher and he’s sent to the office and suspended,” said Mathabel.

As stated at The Daily Caller, what a message this sends to a child … “I hope young Darin has learned his lesson: If you do something you know you’re not supposed to do, even if it’s an accident, don’t tell anybody or you’ll get in trouble. That’s exactly the message we should be teaching children.”
