Suspected Burglar Tries to Play Santa and Failes Badly … Thief Gets Stuck in Chimney & Dies After Home Owner Lights Fire

WE REFER TO THIS AS THE THINNING OF THE HERD … ONLY SANTA CLAUS KNOWS HOW TO USE A CHIMNEY PROPERLY.

Crime really doesn’t pay … Maybe the following story from the Fresno Bee will be a future deterrent for would-be robbers use of a chimney as a means of entering a home. Then again, maybe not. A man attempting to rob a home in Huron died Saturday after his botched burglary attempt ended in his getting stuck in the chimney and then really ended when the home owners lit a fire in the fireplace. After the fire was set, police reported that the home owner heard screams coming from inside the house. At that point the home owner realized that there was some one n the chimney and put the fire out. Can you say roasted robber? The burglar was pronounced dead at the scene.  The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

A man who apparently got stuck in the chimney of a Huron home during a botched burglary attempt died Saturday after the homeowners lit a fire in the fireplace, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Lt. Brandon Pursell said deputies received a 911 call to the 16000 block of West Gale Avenue just before 3 p.m. After lighting a fire, the male homeowner heard screaming coming from somewhere inside the house. When the resident realized a person was in the chimney, he extinguished the fire.

Deputies and firefighters had to smash the chimney to get the man out. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fresno County coroner will perform an autopsy to confirm a cause of death. The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Are you kidding me that they had to bust the chimney to get the dead criminal out? That probably caused more damage and expense to the homeowner than anything the man could have stolen.

23 Year Old Armed Robbery Suspect Dashawn Terrell Cochran Used Uber for His Getaway Car in Maryland

I BET UBER NEVER HAD THIS IN THEIR BUSINESS MODEL …

23 year old armed robbery suspect, Dashawn Terrell Cochran, appears to have used UBER as his getaway vehicle from the scene of the crime. After having held up a store in Parkville, Maryland, the suspect was seen getting into a the back of a silver Lexus. The Baltimore County Police Department say he pointed a gun at a store employee and demanded that he give him money. When the Baltimore police pulled the drive over, the driver said he was an Uber driver. Imagine that. Cochran was arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and theft less than $1,000. He is being held on $500,000 bail. The Uber driver and another passenger in the vehicle were released, having had nothing to do with the robbery.

I guess they really are everyone’s private driver … even armed robbers

UBER

A 23-year-old man suspected of armed robbery tried to take an Uber car to help him get away after he held up a store outside Baltimore, police said.

The suspect, Dashawn Terrell Cochran, was at a store in Parkville, Maryland, early Wednesday morning when he allegedly took a bottle of Tylenol cold medicine to the register, the Baltimore County Police Department said. Police said he then pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money.

Cochran ran from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, but officers began to track his path, police said.

Cochran was seen getting into the back of a silver Lexus, and when officers pulled the car over, the driver said he was an Uber driver, police said.

Maybe it is the UBER passengers that need all the back ground checks and not just the UBER drivers.
