What happened to my country?

It is actually frightening that the following occurred in the United States and on a college campus to boot. Individuals actually signed a “Thank You” card to the IRS, thanking them fare targeting, harassing and slow walking the non-profit applications of Conservative and Tea Party groups. This was the brain child of Conservative pundit Caleb Bonham who said, “I was kind of hoping people would look at my card and laugh, but not endorse it.”  “That was not the case.” One student said while signing the card, “I love discrimination.” WTF!!! Seriously, would this individuals like love discrimination if they were the ones targeted? Oh, that would be different of course. And who in the hell loves discrimination of any kind? So let’s get this straight, those who signed and agreed with this thank you card agree that Big Government should have the power to destroy anyone who does not agree with them? Is that what this ignoramuses actually think? Of course not because they think they should be afforded a double standard. Maybe the next question should have been if they had ever heard of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

Students at the University of Colorado – Boulder (UCB) signed an enormous thank you card to the Internal Revenue Service for its apparent harassment of conservative groups during the lead-up to President Obama’s reelection.

In the viral video, posted on YouTube Tuesday, conservative pundit Caleb Bonham asked students to sign the large card that read “Thank you IRS! Tea Party Deserves it!”

“I’m asking people if they want to sign my board thanking the IRS for targeting conservative tea party and religious organizations,” Bonham explained in the video.

Sadly, this is a result of the brainwashing that today’s youth has received and a completely hateful attitude and disrespect of others. Some how they are to be afforded the rights of “Freedom of Speech” but others are not.  BTW, for all those who signed the ‘Thank You” card to the IRS … thanks for your names so that when the GOP is back in power, they can have the IRS target you. According to you, its perfectly AOK.

If the following is true regarding the AP telephone record reporting scandal just got huge.

As Hot Air asks, “Would you believe that the [Obama] Administration Got Phone Records of The House Of Representatives? Those were the comments and revelations made by California Congressman Devin Nunes, who sits on the House Ways And Means Committee while being interviewed on the Hugh Hewitt’s Show Wednesday night. That is correct, Congressman Nunes said that the DOJ’s recording of AP telephone calls also included the House of Representative Cloak Room. Unbelievable, no separations of powers issue here, now is there?

America, are you starting to see a pattern of behavior by the Obama administration and a lack of caring of the US Constitution … First Amendment rights issues in IRS-gate of intimidating Americans, Freedom of Press issues with AP scandal, separation of powers issue with AP and flat out lying to “We the People” on Benghazi. And Barack Obama would have us believe, HE KNEW NOTHING.

HH: The idea that this might be a Geithner-Axelrod plan, and by that, the sort of intimation, Henry II style, will no one rid me of this turbulent priest, will no one rid me of these turbulent Tea Parties, that might have just been a hint, a shift of an eyebrow, a change in the tone of voice. DN: So when they went after the AP reporters, right? Went after all of their phone records, they went after the phone records, including right up here in the House Gallery, right up from where I’m sitting right now. So you have a real separation of powers issue that did this really rise to the level that you would have to get phone records that would, that would most likely include members of Congress, because as you know…

HH: Wow.

DN: … members of Congress talk to the press all the time.

HH: I did not know that, and that is a stunner.

DN: Now that is a separation of powers issue here, Hugh.

HH: Sure.

DN: And it’s a freedom of press issue. And now you’ve got the IRS going after people. So these things are starting to cascade one upon the other, and you have the White House pretending like they’re in the clouds like it’s not their issue somehow.

I’ve been skeptical if not dismissive of all the loose talk that the multiple scandals piling up around Obama would be sufficient to bring about his impeachment–until this afternoon.  Let’s remember that impeachment didn’t work out too well with Clinton, and the evidence of his bad behavior was a lot more direct than it is (so far) with Obama.  In the case of Nixon, it will be recalled, it required a tape recording of his collaborating in the obstruction of justice to bring about the tipping point that doomed his presidency.  But for that tape, he might have been able to tough it out as Clinton did.

MORE CHICAGO-STYLE POLITICS … From the AP comes the following, the Obama administration’s Justice Department secretly obtained phone records of the Associated Press for two month. The Justice Department seized the records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists from its offices in New York, Washington, DC and Hartford, Connecticut in April and May of 2012. Hmm, right in the midst of a presidential election. The AP is calling it a ”massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news. Once again the Obama administration is sounding a bit “Nixonian”. The MSM has been a lapdog for Barack Obama in the not covering and holding this president’s feet to the fire, now the shoe is on the other foot and they are being abused by this paranoid White House. The Justice Department has a lot of explaining to do as to why this is not to be interpreted as government intimidation. Which is beginning to become a daily patters of Obama administration scandals.  First we hear that the IRS is operating against Conservatives and political enemies of Obama and now the Justice Department is secretly tapping the AP, all during the run up and during a presidential election. Can you say Barack “Nixon” Obama.

The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news.

The records obtained by the Justice Department listed outgoing calls for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, for general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and for the main number for the AP in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP. It was not clear if the records also included incoming calls or the duration of the calls.

In all, the government seized the records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown, but more than 100 journalists work in the offices where phone records were targeted, on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.

In a phrase, It’s an Obama world, and now the MSM knows what it feels like to be a Conservative in America and on the Obama enemies list. The AP and other media outlets are livid as they called the Justice Department’s seizing of AP phone records over a two month period “chilling” and a “dragnet to intimidate the media.” Gary Pruitt, the president and CEO of the AP sent a scathing letter in response to the revelations. Calling it a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” that is “a serious interference with AP’s constitutional rights.”

“There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters. These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP’s newsgathering operations, and disclose information about AP’s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know,” Pruitt said.

Journalists and the MSM were already starting to turn on the Obama administration and now they learn about this intrusion into “Freedom of the Press” as the Politico pens, Journalists fume over DOJ raid on AP. If Obama loses the very people who have been complicit in not informing the American people as to the complete failure of this president, he will be destroyed. Sorry, but there is no way that Attorney General Eric Holder did not have to sign off on this for approval.

What is stunning is the breadth of the seizure!” Van Susteren said. “If you read the AP President’s letter to DOJ, and if his letter is accurate, the seizure was very broad: 2 months of telephone records involving many who work at AP! 20 phone lines, home and cell? NY, DC, Connecticut employees? That doesn’t sound like a criminal investigation, that sounds like a dragnet to intimidate the media. The US Attorney’s issued statement about the secret seizure was blah, blah, blah. It doesn’t say anything. The DOJ better be following the law and the Constitution.”

8th Grader Jared Marcum Arrested & Suspended for Wearing NRA ‘Protect Your Right’ T-Shirt With Image of Gun

How do things like this happen in the United States?

Jared Marcum, an 8th grader at the Logan Middle School in West Virginia has been arrested, suspended and faces charges for wearing an NRA T-shirt with the image of a firearm and the words “Protect Your Right” printed on it to school. HUH? Police confirmed that Marcum had been arrested and faced charges of obstruction and disturbing the education process after getting into an argument with a teacher. HUH? The school is claiming that the shirt that Marcum was wearing, an NRA shirt that had “Protect Your Right” on it with the image of a gun violated the school’s dress code. However, no where in reviewing the school’s dress code policy did the 8th grader appear to violate said policy. No where in the dress code policy did it prohibit gun images.

Unreal. This school and this foolish teacher would attempt to ruin a kids life by having him arrested over a shirt with the image of a gun on it. Liberalism and PC running wild. Who knew that a pro-Second Amendment shirt would result in an 8th graders First Amendment rights being trampled? So where is the ACLU coming to his aid to protect his civil rights?

WOWK-TV reported Jared Marcum saying he never thought there would be a problem with his pro-Second Amendment apparel.

“I never thought it would go this far because honestly I don’t see a problem with this. There shouldn’t be a problem with this,” Marcum told WOWK-TV.

Police confirmed that Marcum had been arrested and faced charges of obstruction and disturbing the education process after getting into an argument over the shirt with a teacher at Logan Middle School, which is south of Charleston.

How does all this lead to an arrest and an 8th grader being sent to jail? Seriously, how does a dress code issue wind up in a school calling the police and attempting to ruin a kids life? Is this how educators think they are providing our children with an education? Maybe the teachers and school administrators need to do a home work assignment of their own and read the US Constitution.

This family should sue this school district and the teacher who he got into the argument with individually.

UPDATE I: The families lawyer, Ben White, said that the T-shirt did not appear to violate any school policy. White said he also wants to get the criminal charges dropped. It was the school that created this incident by improperly interpreting their own dress code policy and then escalating it with calling the police.

So there is no double standard in America, eh?  Democrat Michigan State Rep. said that “there would be blood” and the union thugs at yesterday’s Right to Work rally in East Lansing, MI did not disappoint. We all that that the Left was pro-choice. But that is only for the murder of the unborn, when it comes to whether a person has the right to choose whether they want to become a member of a union, those are fighting words, literally. Steven Crowder, a Fox News contributor, was attacked and punched in the face several times by a union thug at a pro-union rally in Michigan. This is how unions deal with folks who dare have an opposing point of view. Is it any wonder why a “right to work” law needed to be passed.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed the “Right to Work” law into legislation limiting the rights of unions in the state to force individuals to join or pay union dues. The Governor and the House passed the bills amid the boos of protesters. Imagine, just imagine if the Tea Party ever acted like this? They would be arrested, carted off by police and be the headline and top story of ever print and TV media. Oh that’s right, even though they are constantly called unruly and racists, the tea Party has never acted like this.
