CNN Confirms that Casey Anthony will Receive $1 Million in Blood Money for her First Interview
We all knew it was going to happen; however, that does not lessen the sickness we feel in the pit of our stomach …
CNN is confirming that Casey Anthony, the mother who was acquitted in the nuder of her daughter Caylee, will receive a $1 million blood money payoff for her exclusive first interview. As reported at Mediaite:
… would be receiving $1 million for her first interview since being acquitted of murdering her young daughter, promising updates on where and with whom as soon as that information comes in. ABC affiliate WPBF, meanwhile, is reporting that, according to local Florida attorney Spencer Kuvin, his client “Private Elevator Productions” (a group, he says, of “Hollywood producers who wants to remain anonymous”) has offered Anthony $1 million for an exclusive interview.
Say it isn’t so; however, if it is we once again have the clueless Casey Anthony jury to blame for not doing there job and not comprehending the enormity of their actions. It would seem odd that such a deal would go through at this time. America does not seem over the henious acts of Casey Anthony and hardly willing to forgive. As reported at the Orlando Sentinel, Jean Casarez of “In Session” reported today that Kuvin had not heard back from attorney Cheney Mason about a $1 million offer to Anthony.
Mason, who will field offers for Anthony, also told “In Session” that Jose Baez no longer reperesents Anthony.
Mason told Casarez: “No one with any authority is attempting to promote Casey Anthony … They are unsolicited and doing it on their own.”
Mason added that any Anthony negotiations will start after her appeal has ended and her probation has concluded.
Seriously, you mean to say that former lead attorney Jose Baez was not shopping a deal to the networks? Really? Really! It would seem quite the hypocrisy for Casey Anthony to duck civil suits and depositions to answer questions and in return shop her interview for dollars. No matter how one looks at this, eventually Casey Anthony will get a payoff and yes, it will be blood money.

Casey Anthony to Fire Atty Jose Baez … “Angry over how he is handling the media circus around her first sit down interview” … Cheney Mason Back In???
Trouble in paradise … This relationship had as much a chance of lasting as did the Kim Kardashian – Kris Humphries’ 7 second marriage.
What’s that sound, violins … It is being reported that Casey Anthony is furious with her Jose Baez, the attorney who got her off of murder charges of her daughter Caylee Anthony. As per the New York Post, Casey Anthony is angry over how he is handling the media circus around her first sit-down interview. It appears that Casey Anthony is jealous and envious that Jose is getting the attention and not her. Hmm … sound familiar?
Trouble in paradise
Casey Anthony is planning to fire her lawyer Jose Baez, who defended her in the 2011 murder trial involving her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. She’s angry over how he’s handling the media circus around her first sit-down interview.
Sources tell us Anthony is furious that Baez has been basking in the limelight and rubbing shoulders with top TV talent, but hasn’t nailed down a big interview deal for her.
Anthony’s original attorney, Cheney Mason, will take over as her representative to the media, and sources say an announcement is imminent.
Casey Anthony and Jose Baez perfect together, peas in a pod, and the perfect example of water seeking its own level. Baez has been shopping a $750K fee for the first exclusive interview with Casey. Baez is out and about talking to producers, jet-setting and living the life after having defended and got his client off of murder. What a shock that Casey Anthony is upset that Baez is getting all of the attention. Gee, who couldn’t see this break up coming? Casey Anthony says she does not trust Baez anymore. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. That’s okay Casey … No one trusts you either, especially Caylee Anthony.
While Anthony finishes her probation, Baez has been making television appearances on her behalf and enjoying the perks of being schmoozed by network bigwigs.
“He’s going around taking meetings with TV producers and networks,” a source told us. “She doesn’t trust him anymore.”
After the video diary of Casey leaked on the Internet last week, sources tell us her inner circle grew angrier with Baez.
“They haven’t been talking for weeks,” our source said. “The video was the last straw.”

Casey Anthony Video … She’s Back … Video Diary of Casey Anthony Has Leaked onto the Internet … Not One Reference of Caylee
LOOK WHO IS BACK … Casey Anthony.
Casey Anthony goes public for the first time since she was acquitted in the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony. It is reported that the Video took place last October, 2011. Casey Anthony says that things are starting to look up in a good way and things were surreal. Actually what was surreal was the fact that a jury actually found you “not guilty” as sin.
Imagine this, at no point in the entire VIDEO did she mention Caylee Anthony’s name. She just talked about herself. What a shock.
Mediaite has the full transcript of the Video Diary.
Who I’ve adopted and I love and he’s as much my dog as any of the other pets I’ve ever had (inaudible) families I’ve ever had if not moreso… so… I don’t know… I don’t know whether to look directly at myself, or look up, or… oh man… just a little surreal how much things have changed since July and how many things haven’t changed… but the good thing is that things are starting to look up and things are starting to change. In a good way.
Does Casey Anthony actually think that everyone will forgive her and that people will forget what she did? Hardly, 2012 will be no different for Casey. Although, we can see that giving up narcissism and the world is not all about me, was not two of Casey Anthony’s New year’s resolutions.

Jeff Ashton, Former Assistant State Attorney & Lead Prosecutor in Casey Anthony Murder Trial of Caylee Anthony has Announcement Set for Tuesday … Will Run for the 9th Circuit State Attorney Post in 2012 Against Former Boss, Lawson Lamar
According to reports Jeff Ashton has an “important announcement” set for Tuesday, January 5, 2012 at 11 AM on the steps of the Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, Florida. Looks like there is a run for the States Attorney position in Ashton’s future.
Jeff Ashton, the former assistant state attorney who was the lead prosecutor in the Casey Anthony murder trial is speculated to be throwing his hat into the political ring and running for the 9th Circuit State Attorney position. The 9th circuit consisted of Orange and Osceola counties. Ashton will be running against his former boss, Lawson Lamar. Ashton retired from his post following the implausible “not guilty” jury verdict in the Casey Anthony case.
A source told WESH 2 News on Friday that former assistant state attorney Jeff Ashton will announce that he is running for the 9th circuit state attorney post in 2012 against his former boss, Lawson Lamar.
A press release sent out Friday said Ashton would make what’s being dubbed an “important announcement” on the steps of the Orange County Courthouse on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The event is also open to the public.
Jeff Ashton recently made the media tour following the completion of his book, “Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony”. Listen to Jeff Ashton’s interview on Scared Monkeys radio with Dana Pretzer.
In Imperfect Justice, prosecutor Jeff Ashton, one of the principal players in the case’s drama, sheds light on those questions and much more, telling the behind-the-scenes story of the investigation, the trial, and the now-infamous verdict. Providing an inside account of the case, Ashton, a career prosecutor for the state of Florida, goes where the press and pundits have only speculated, detailing what really happened during the investigation, showing how the prosecution built their case, and explaining how a woman so shrouded in suspicion was proclaimed innocent.
If the rumors are correct, Ashton will be running against his former boss, Lawson Lamar. Lamar was first elected as the state attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida in 1988. Following the Casey Anthony case, Lamar made a statement that he was ‘disappointed with verdict but never criticize a jury’. That’s ok Mr. Lamar, we will and so did most of the Orange and Osceola county Florida voters.
Jeff Ashton developed a rock star status during the Casey Anthony murder trial and in many ways the trial can be looked upon like the movie Rocky I. Against all odds, lies, perjury, and bizzaro behavior by the Anthony family, defense attorneys and the defendant Casey Anthony, Ashton put on the good fight only to lose and be undermined by the “ship of fool” jurors with their “not guilty as sin” verdict. Sadly, they did not provide “justice for Caylee”. However, we all know how Rocky II turned out. Maybe this is one of the legacies of Caylee Anthony, an inspired, passionate advocate for children like Jeff Ashton gets elected to make a difference.
