Obama Willing to Go Off “Fiscal Cliff” to Raise Tax Rates on Rich … Harry Reid Blocks Senate Vote on Obama’s Deficit Reduction Plan
What a joke and you are to blame America … You voted this snarky, vindictive, non-serious President back into office and now America will suffer for years to come. What a mess …
President Barack Obama nor US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are not serious about fixing the out of control government spending and the ever-growing $16 trillion national debt, all they care about is being vindictive and getting a liberal trophy for raising tax rates on the rich. Yesterday, Treasury Secretary Turbo Tax Timothy Geithner stated that the Obama administration “absolutely” willing to allow the United States to fall off the “fiscal” cliff unless Republicans drop their opposition to higher income tax rates on the wealthy. But what does this really do, nothing. The amount of revenue that would be gained as compared to the $16 trillion debt and continued +$1 trillion Obama deficit spending is like firing a pea at an elephant. The amount of revenue from raising tax rates on the rich would fund government for eight days. That’s it. So why is Obama so adamant about going off the fiscal cliff if tax rates are not raised? To of course get some kind of liberal trophy from the far Left of course. In the end it will accomplish nothing to help the problem we are in and will most likely cause us to go backwards into yet another recession.
President Obama’s lead negotiator in the “fiscal cliff” talks said the administration is “absolutely” willing to allow the package of deep automatic spending cuts and across-the-board tax hikes to take effect Jan. 1, unless Republicans drop their opposition to higher income tax rates on the wealthy.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said in an interview with CNBC that both sides are “making a little bit of progress” toward a deal to avert the “cliff” but remain stuck on Obama’s desired rate increase for the top U.S. income-earners.
So how serious is Obama and Reid about helping America through these troubled times of over spending? Not at all. they are merely playing party politics with America’s future. Barack Obama had presented a deficit reduction plan. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) offered an amendment to force a vote on President Obama’s deficit-reduction plan, however, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) blocked it. Do you think that Obama or Reid are serious about what they are doing? Hardly. Reid knew Obama’s plan was a pathetic joke and not serious. Reid knows that no self-respecting member of the Senate, including Democrats would vote for this crap. As reported at the Weekly Standard, Reid calls Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s request to vote on the plan a “stunt.” Really, what would you call Obama’s deficit reduction plan then, that you are unwilling to put to a vote knowing it would fail and embarrass Obama?
It is obvious that Obama wants to go over the fiscal cliff, thinks he does not to negotiate and believes he is a King not a President.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Wednesday offered an amendment to force a vote on President Obama’s deficit-reduction plan, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was having none of it.
“Last week [Treasury] Secretary [Timothy] Geithner brought up a proposal that was so unserious,” McConnell said on the floor, “I would like to see if my Democratic friends would like to support it.”
Senate vote on what he called the president’s “ridiculous” plan as an amendment to the Russian trade bill that is being considered.
Reid, however, objected to McConnell’s suggestion, saying the Russian trade bill, H.R. 6156, is about job creation, not political stunts from Republicans.
Barack Obama cared little during the first years of his first term as president what the people thought and forced through Obamacare. What exactly did you think this vindictive president was going to do if reelected knowing he does not have to face another election and has no accountability to ‘We the People”.
Up, Up and Away … Budget deficit rises to $120 billion in October
Looks like Obama inherited a terrible budget deficit from the previous president … himself!
Up, up and away … The Obama out of control federal deficit continues. The budget deficit rose to $120 billion in October 2012. This is what happens when you reelection President give away. All this and Obama never during the election said how he would deal with the economy or out of control spending except to tax the rich. Maybe Obama can blame the bad situation on the previous president. Oh, that would be him wouldn’t it?
120 billion dollars!!!
The budget deficit rose in October, the first month of fiscal year 2013, as looming negotiations over expiring tax cuts and imminent spending reductions dominated the post-election political landscape.
The Treasury said on Tuesday the October deficit was $120 billion, larger than economist forecasts for a $114 billion gap and up from $98 billion in October of 2011.
Growth in expenditures outpaced rising receipts, deepening the deficit. Outlays grew to $304 billion from around $262 billion in the same month last year while receipts rose to $184 billion from $163 billion.

Now that the Election is Over … Barack Obama is back to Playing Golf
Unbelievable, the only thing that has prevented President Barack Obama from playing golf was his reelection. The Golfer in Chief has returned.
Looks like we are getting the same old Barack Obama, he is now back on the golf course as the Middle East burns and America is headed off the fiscal cliff. Sadly, the American voters have decided to make the next four years just more of the same. Nothing could prevent Obama from playing golf except his reelection. Not a US economy in crisis, a national debt of +$16 trillion, record number of Americans on food stamps, record low job participation rate of Americans, the impending fiscal cliff and US soldiers paying the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Nope, only his reelection was the most important thing for Obama to prevent him from playing golf. Now he’s back to his old games that the election is over.
President Barack Obama is spending his first Saturday after winning reelection on the golf course. Today’s outing is to the course on Andrews Air Force Base.
“Motorcade arrived at Andrews Air Force Base at 11:01 am after an uneventful ride,” the pool report reads. “President Obama is playing golf with three White House aides: Eugene Kang, Joe Paulson and trip director Marvin Nicholson, according to a White House official. Pool is holding at the Andrews fast food court for the next few hours.”

Liberal Newspapers Abandoning Obama … Orlando Sentinel Endorses Mitt Romney … Add The Tennessean as Well
WOW, Hell Just Froze Over … Liberal Newspaper have buyer’s remorse. The Orlando Sentinel and Tennessean endorse Mitt Romney …
What a difference four years makes. How bad is it for President Barack Obama … liberal newspaper, The Orlando Sentinel endorses GOP Presidential challenger Mitt Romney In an amazing reversal of fortune, the the Orlando Sentinel kicks Barack Obama to the curb and endorses Romney and laid out their rational for their decision. Their main point and the main issue for millions of Americans, the economy. Barack Obama has failed America as unemployment remains high, millions of Americans are unemployed or under-employed, as economic growth is “anemic” and the federal debt is through the roof over $16 trillion.
But the core of Romney’s campaign platform, his five-point plan, at least shows he understands that reviving the economy and repairing the government’s balance sheet are imperative — now, not four years in the future.
Romney has a strong record of leadership to run on. He built a successful business. He rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from scandal and mismanagement. As governor of Massachusetts, he worked with a Democrat-dominated legislature to close a $3billion budget deficit without borrowing or raising taxes, and pass the health plan that became a national model.
This is Romney’s time to lead, again. If he doesn’t produce results — even with a hostile Senate — we’ll be ready in 2016 to get behind someone else who will.
But wait, Team Reelect Obama thought that was bad … Hell just froze over, The Tennessean also just endorsed Romney. Granted, the state of Tennessee is dark red and not in play for the 2012 Presidential election; however, the Tennessean is as liberal a rag as their is in the US. It is the newspaper that gave Al Gore his start in journalism. Nuff said. This is a newspaper that has endorsed every Presidential Democrat candidate, not this time. Who knew, pigs can fly.
The Tennessean decision to endorse Romney also pointed to Obama’s failures with the economy and Obama’s failures. He promised America “Hope & Change” and as the Tennessean, maybe only such change can come from Mitt Romney.
Should President Obama, as some suggested, have devoted his early political capital to jobs and debt reduction and pursuing Wall Street criminals, instead of health reform? Time will tell. But it’s clear whatever shaky bridges were burned in the push for health reform only emboldened Republicans to oppose his subsequent economic proposals. That has rendered much of his presidency ineffective.
Barack Obama was elected in 2008 with a call for hope and change. Perhaps the change he spoke of could only come with the help of Mitt Romney.
OUCH! Can you say the rats are abandoning the sinking S.S. Obama? Even liberal print media is starting to understand that Obama is not the answer, even if they believe in his ideology. Just how bad and an epic failure must Barack Obama be to lose the endorsements of some of the most uber-lib print media in the United States? But don’t worry Barack, you got the Honey Boo Boo endorsement.
Former Independent Presidential Candidate H. Ross Perot Endorses Mitt Romney … “the nation can’t afford four more years of President Obama”
Former Independent Presidential candidate of the Reform Party, H. Ross Perot has thrown his support behind and has endorses Mitt Romney for president. Perot stated in his support for Romney, the United States is on an unsustainable path and “the nation cannot afford four more years of of President Obama.” This is an interesting endorsement. Probably the most prominent “Independent” ever to run for President. In 1992 Presidential election Perot received nearly 19% of the vote. Could this endorsement swing the needle for Independents?
Decrying a “stagnant” economy, Perot writes:
“Economic growth is insufficient to create enough jobs for a country whose population is growing. The result is unemployment stuck over 8 percent for every single month of Barack Obama’s presidency.
We have 23 million Americans who are looking for work and either can’t find a full-time job, can’t find a job at all, or who have given up looking. That is wrong. It’s not the way America ought to be.
At the same time, and not unrelated, is the extraordinary explosion of federal deficits and federal debt. In the last four years during Obama’s presidency, he’s added around $5 trillion to our national debt, more than any previous president.
This was accomplished by successive federal budgets that each ran deficits exceeding $1 trillion a year. It is this massive deficit spending that threatens to undermine our future standard of living. To pay for our government’s massive debts, Washington’s profligacy, our children and grandchildren will be paying interest and principal on the nation’s debt for untold years into the future. That is wrong. It’s not the way America ought to be.”
From The Weekly Standard comes an email sent by Perot to the Romney campaign:
“Our country faces a serious choice,” Perot says in a statement emailed out by the Romney campaign. “The fact of the matter is that the United States is on unsustainable course. At stake is nothing less than our position in the world, our standard of living at home, and our constitutional freedoms. That is why I am endorsing Mitt Romney in his quest for the presidency.
