The first lady, Michelle Obama, requires a photo ID in order to qualify to get an opportunity to get an autographed book; however, isn’t it the Democrats and the Left that are so against photo ID’s to prove who you are in order to vote? UNREAL. It is the Obama’s that have opposed voter ID laws claiming that it would be unfair to minorities and disenfranchise voters, yet its perfectly OK for Michelle Obama to require a photo ID to get a book signed? So voting is a lesser act than to get a signed Obama book? Sadly, in the Obama’s minds it probably is.

On Friday, June 8th, those wishing to attend the event must purchase a copy of the First Lady’s book at the location and leave it at the store, according to the employee. At the same time, customers must also submit their social security number and show an official photo ID (driver’s license, passport) to a Secret Service agent, and they will be issued a wristband to the First Lady’s event on June 12.

The liberal media, particularly Obama-boosting cable network MSNBC has done its best to attack voter ID laws as discriminatory at best and racist at worst.

Just curious, where is the liberal MSM stating the Obama’s obvious hypocrisy? The Lonely Conservative adds a rather interesting nugget, “… it looks like people have to purchase the book before being screened by the Secret Service, even though there’s no guarantee they’ll get their books signed.”

Michelle and Barack Obama have become the poster children for “out of touch,” especially with working class Americans. Looks like Barack Obama’s own class warfare rhetoric is coming back to haunt him. The Obama’s were warned about taking such a lavish vacation, they just didn’t care.

It cost taxpayers nearly a half-million dollars for first lady Michelle Obama to travel to Spain in 2010, according to an analysis by Judicial Watch.

The right-leaning watchdog group estimated that the trip cost $467,585. It based its analysis on documents obtained from the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Air Force.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said it took his group “two years and a lawsuit to get these documents out of the Obama administration.”

“It is hypocritical for President Obama to fire GSA officials for wasteful conference spending, while his family went on a luxury vacation in the Costa del Sol Spain that cost taxpayers nearly half a million dollars,” Fitton said.

“They view everything through their own personal situation and if they can’t afford to do it, they can’t enjoy it, they don’t like Obama using their tax dollars to benefit himself,” said pollster John McLaughlin. “In this case, they see him as out of touch. While they are struggling he’s not sharing in that struggle and he’s basically doing what they can’t do on their tax dollars,” added the GOP pollster.

“I want to thank President Santos and the people of Colombia for the extraordinary hospitality in the beautiful city of Cartagena,” said Obama. “We’re having a wonderful time. And usually when I take these summit trips, part of my job is to scout out where I may want to bring Michelle back later for vacation.  So we’ll make sure to come back sometime in the near future.”

Weasel Zippers has a suggestion for Obama and his responsibilities to find future vacation places, “please take her to North Korea where the two of you may enjoy their single-payer system for the rest of your miserable lives.”

Obama and his minions talk about Mitt Romney being out of touch with the American people. There is a perception with many that during these harsh economic times where families cannot afford one vacation a year, Barack Obama and the first family take far too many vacations on the tax payers dime. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama attended a ceremony for the groundbreaking for the first national museum dedicated exclusively to African-American history and culture. However, a funny thing happened on the way to the goring breaking, Obama had no shovel. How ironic seeing that following the failed $878 billion stimulus bill, the President was forced to admit that there were no “shovel ready” projects.

It was a rather odd sight: as an array of museum officials, including former first lady Laura Bush, took up shovels at the groundbreaking for the first national museum dedicated exclusively to African-American history and culture, the nation’s first black president sat watching, no shovel in hand.

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama attended the ceremony Wednesday for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, and he delivered remarks.

When he finished and returned to his seat, a call was put out for groundbreakers to gather at the front of the stage. Obama then stood, buttoned his jacket and prepared to join in. But an official whispered something to him and he sat back down as museum officials and members of the museum’s advisory council, including the former first lady, picked up shovels for the ceremonial turning of the dirt. The Obamas remained on stage.

Protocol does not seem to have played a role. Turns out, presidents throughout history have wielded shovels for groundbreakings.

Or is it as Weasel Zippers states regarding Obama’s lack of a shovel, Kings don’t use shovels, they are only for commoners? As Fox News Charles Krautheimer has stated in the past, would Obama really know about shovel ready attending Harvard Law School? Team Obama to Use Barack & Michelle’s Daughters for Politcal Ads and Reelection … Really Mr. President … “Political Assets”?

Talk about desperation … it appears Barack Obama is willing to exploit his daughters in order to win reelection in 2012. Seriously, Barack and Michelle Obama have no issue with their children being used as “political assets”? The one decent thing Obama has done since he has been President is to shield his daughters from politics. Now, with his bacon on the line in 2012 he is actually going to use them to present some type of wholesome family optic. How pathetic.

A new Internet ad by the president’s reelection campaign features a portrait of the first family asking supporters to “help the Obamas stand up for working Americans.” The appeal, a departure from the typical Obama messaging, provides an early glimpse of the role the president’s wife and daughters are likely to play in his campaign.

In the months to come, political strategists expect to see the first family used as a political asset.

“The value of the family is enormous,” said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake. “The more you know this family and the more you think of Barack Obama in these terms, the harder it is to vilify him.”

Barack Obama obviously cannot run on his record. Obama cannot run on Obamacare, the $878 billion stimulus, the out of control national debt, his failed green energy agenda, record high gas prices and the slowest economic jobs recovery since the Great Depression. What is a failed first term President to do … exploit the children of course.

Of course the MSM will have yet another slobbering love affair with this image of Family Obama as they try and distract the American people from the economic horrors and socialist agenda that Obama has inflicted upon us during his first term in Office. Do we really think that the bias media is going to treat the Obama girls like they did Sarah Palin’s children and savage them? Does a cutesy political ad with Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha really change our view of Obamacare and the rest of Obama’s socialist agenda? Hardly.

Maybe the ad can show the first family on the 16 vacations to date in places like Martha’s Vineyard, Spain, Hawaii and other places of Liefe Styles of the Rich and Famous.

Just curious America, how many of you have taken 16 vacations in the last three years? President Obama, you like to talk of fairness … is it fair that you and yours take 16 vacations on the tax payers dime when most not only have not taken 16 vacations, many have not even taken 16 days. That is if they are lucky enough to be employed.Granted former President GWB took many vacation days as well’ however, they were mostly “staycations” on his ranch in Crawford, TX.

First lady Michelle Obama’s weekend jaunt to Aspen, Colorado for a President’s Day ski holiday with her daughters Sasha and Malia makes the 16th time members of the first family have gone on extended vacations during their three years in office.

But his have become more controversial because of the costs associated with moving the first family to a public vacation spot, unlike the Bushes to their remote ranch in Crawford, Texas. For example, the Hawaii Reporter said the first family’s 2011 Christmas vacation in Hawaii would exceed $1.5 million.

Critics and even some in his own party say the vacations present a bad image at a time when many Americans are struggling to get by during the recession. According to recent Harris poll, only three in 10 said they plan to take a vacation lasting longer than a week in the next six months, and that number has been dropping during the recession as people worry about the costs of vacations. Other polls have found that less than half of all Americans take all the vacation time they earn because they can’t afford trips.

First Lady Michelle Obama once again she cares little about shared sacrifice and fairness. That is just political rhetoric and class warfare used by her husband Barack Obama to divide America. Queen Michelle heads off to Aspen, Colorado with her daughters to ski and hand out with the 1%. What an absolute joke that her hubby Barack espouses that he is the defender of the middle class and the poor when this President, his wife and first family continually live “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”.

Michelle Obama has embarked on a skiing vacation with her daughters in Aspen, Colorado, according to the Aspen Daily News.

The first lady, who just returned last month from 17 days of relaxation in Hawaii, is skiing in Colorado on Presidents’ Day Weekend for the second year in a row. Last year she went to Vail.

Michelle’s decision to ski out West again instead of hitting slopes closer to Washington would seem an inopportune choice for a first lady who is helping her husband campaign on issues of “fairness.”

The Obama campaign has set itself up as the defender of the poor and the middle class against the “One Percent,” a theme which clashes with the image a first lady who is taking frequent and exclusive vacations.

Barack Obama says that every one is going to have to sacrifice and have skin in the game. With all due respect Mr. President, exactly what skin do you or Michelle have in the game? What have either of you sacrificed?

As the Lonely Conservative states, what a shocker that the First Lady wants to keep this vacation low key and below the radar. What a joke. Barack and Michelle Obama might be the biggest hypocrites that have ever “dis”graced the White House.

Honestly, how can any fool think that these people speak for them? Barack and Michelle Obama are the 1% and they enjoy hobnobbing with them in places like Aspen and Martha’s Vineyard. Get a clue America.
