Mitt Romney Says “Fundamental Dishonesty” Over Obamcare Is ‘Rotting it Away” and “Put in Peril” Obama’s Second Term (VIDEO)

Barack Obama, ‘The Lying King’: Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we practice to deceive …

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Sunday on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ that President Barack Obama’s “fundamental dishonesty” over his signature health care program, Obamacare, has “put in peril the whole foundation of his second term.” Romney went on to say that Barack Obama intentionally mislead the American people on the core elements of Obamacare. Romney went on to say that time again that fundamental to his plan was the right people would have to keep their insurance plan, and he knew that was not the case.

“Perhaps the most important lesson the president, I think, failed to learn was, you have to tell the American people the truth. When he told the American people that you could keep your health insurance if you wanted to keep that plan, period (VIDEO), he said that time and again, he wasn’t telling the truth. I think that fundamental dishonesty has really put in peril the whole foundation of his second term.”

“… but the key, I think, that has really undermined the president’s credibility in the hearts of the American people is that he went out as a centerpiece of his campaign and as a centerpiece of Obamacare over the last several years saying time and time again that fundamental to his plan was the right people would have to keep their insurance plan, and he knew that was not the case. He could know it by looking at Massachusetts and seeing people there lost insurance. He could have learned those lessons and told the people the truth, but he didn’t. he told people they could keep their plan. and, you know, it was NBC News that said, look, some 6 million people are going to lose their insurance. that’s not some little number, that’s 6 million American people.”

NBC – Meet the Press:

Last year’s losing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Sunday that President Barack Obama’s “fundamental dishonesty” on the Affordable Care Act has “put in peril the whole foundation of his second term.”

Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press, Romney said Obama’s handling of Obamacare’s promises “has undermined the foundation of his second term – I think it is rotting it away.”

He added that what “has really undermined the president’s credibility in the hearts of the American people is that he went out, as a centerpiece of his campaign and as a centerpiece of Obamacare over the last several years, saying time and time again that fundamental to his plan was the right people would have to keep their insurance plan, and he knew that was not the case….”

He said “had the president been truthful and told the American people that millions would lose their insurance and millions more would see their premiums skyrocket… there would have been such a hue and cry against it, (that) it would not have passed.”

Liberal Comedian Bill Maher Calls Out Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) Over Obamacare … Calls Obama a Liar … “To Me, That Is a Lie”

MAHER CALLS OBAMA A LIAR …

Uber-Lib comedian Bill Maher called out Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and the rest of his liberal panel that President Barack Obama lied when he made the promise with Obamacare, that if you like your healthcare coverage, you can keep your healthcare coverage, PERIOD! Hmm, Maher just called Obama a liar. Maher started out by saying that Barack Obama had a bad week. Gee, ya think? However, Maher posed two questions to his panel, “Is a lie justified, if it is for something good. And if he hadn’t told the lie, would Obamacare have been passed?”

To answer Maher’s questions above, No and Hell NO!!! When you are the President of the United States, its all about character. If one has to lie to get their point across, agenda followed or bill passes, obviously you do not have the support of the people. We need to look no further than Obama’s current poll numbers.  But the Obamamessiah and liberals think they know more what is best for you than you do. And no, if Obama had actually told the truth that with Obamacare that you could not keep your doctor, you could not keep your insurance, and the price would go up, not down and the deductibles would be increased … it never would have come close to passing. Also, I disagree with the premise that Obamacare is a good thing. It is not just the website roll out that is a disaster, so are the policies and model of Obamacare as well.

“Is a lie justified, if it is for something good. And if he hadn’t told the lie, would Obamacare have been passed?”

The Blaze:

Far-left comedian Bill Maher has consistently admitted that President Barack Obama “lied” when he promised all Americans they would be able to keep their health insurance plans under Obamacare. Others, however, like DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, are apparently not quite ready to admit it.

The two found themselves at odds on HBO’s “Real Time” on Friday as they battled over whether it truly was a “lie.”

“It was a bad week for the president, let’s be honest here,” Maher began. “We’re not like them, we don’t live in the bubble. It was a bad week.”

He also asked his panel whether or not a lie is ever “justified” if it’s for something good, and then speculated as to whether Obamacare would have even passed if the president had been honest about the impact it would have on private insurance.

House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer Admits Democrats Knew Americans Would Not be Able to Keep Their Current Health Care Plans Under Obamacare … #You Lie

HEY AMERICA … IT WASN’T JUST OBAMA WHO LIED TO YOU, IT WAS THE ENTIRE DEMOCRAT PARTY THAT MISLEAD YOU ON OBAMACARE!!!

From the National Review Online, House Demorat Whip Steny the Hoyer (MD 5th District) admitted that Democrats knew that Americans would lose their current healthcare plans under Obamacare even as President Barack Obama, Democrats and their minions repeatedly gave a quite different message to “We the People”. It was Barack Obama who continually said over and over and over … If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. period!  Basically, the Democrat party that passed Obamacare on a purely partisan vote and rammed Obamacare down the throats of Americans knew that the tag line and talking points were a complete and total lie. Hot Air has much, much more on the liars.

“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period! If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. period!”

“No one will take it away, no matter what.”

House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer conceded to reporters today that Democrats knew people would not be able to keep their current health care plans under Obamacare and expressed qualified contrition for President Obama’s repeated vows to the contrary.

“We knew that there would be some policies that would not qualify and therefore people would be required to get more extensive coverage,” Hoyer said in response to a question from National Review.

Asked by another reporter how repeated statements by Obama to the contrary weren’t “misleading,” Hoyer said “I don’t think the message was wrong. I think the message was accurate. It was not precise enough…[it] should have been caveated with – ‘assuming you have a policy that in fact does do what the bill is designed to do.’”

UPDATE I: Senate Democrats Struggle to Defend Health Insurance Promises.

Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we practice to deceive. Democrats are in a tough place as they not only must attempt to defend Obama’s promises of being able to keep your insurance under Obamacare, but know being questioned as to whether they knew that Americans would lose their coverage, and when. Democrats are going to have a hell of a time getting out of this one as they have been caught in a lie. Either you admit you lied or you say, I never read the bill I signed that forced this upon the American people, Democrats and Republicans alike. Although Democrat Majority Leader Harry the Reid took a different tack. The true believer Reid said President Obama “didn’t say anything that was wrong. That’s true.”  Really?

Johnson’s bill, which will be introduced on Wednesday, could put Democrats in a tough spot. Asked Tuesday to explain the news that millions of Americans were losing their insurance policies, contrary to the president’s promise, Senate Democrats responded with a mixture of denials, evasions, and historical revisionism. Nearly all refused to say if they opposed Johnson’s bill.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire expressed shock that so many Americans are losing their current plans. “We knew that they would need to sign up again, but obviously I don’t think anybody thought people would be kicked off their health insurance plan,” said Shaheen, who refused to say if Americans should be able to keep the plans they had in 2013.

“He didn’t say anything wrong,” Senate majority leader Harry Reid said when asked about Obama’s promise. “That was true.”

According to Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Democrats had only promised that Americans could keep their insurance if it was “good insurance.”

“We said when we passed that, ‘If you had insurance that was good insurance that you wanted to keep it, you could keep it,’” Landrieu said.

She declined to say if she would support a measure to let Americans keep the plans they had in 2013. “I haven’t looked at it specifically,” Landrieu said.

“We can look at that,” said Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. “That’s something we can look at.”

It would appear that Democrats are going to try and pull a Bill Clinton and contort their words to create a new talking point. With Slick Willy, “It all depends on what is, is.” As stated at the Lonely Conservative, the new Democrat talking point will be “You Can Keep Your Plan If It’s ‘Good’ Insurance”. Hmm, how do you think that would have played out in the passage of the bill and the run up to the 2012 presidential election? The comment would have been overshadowed by the follow up question of what is considered a “good” insurance and who decides that? With the millions that have lost their insurance and the millions more that will do so, how do you think that would have changed the election results? I guess we now know why Obama and Democrats lied, eh?

Hold the phone, is it possible that this scandal of lying to the American people is so bad that even the MSM has to catch up and report on the story? It appears that way. The MSM in a face-saving effort to appear to be “fair & balanced” is going after Obama and his administration on this one. Of course they were carrying the water for Obama during his reelection, now they feel the need to have some semblance of credibility.

The Divider in Chief Continues His Nonsense … Obama Attacks Republicans In Weekly Address, Says GOP Is Rooting for Obamacare to Fail … It Already is a Failure

Does this guy ever stop with the negativity and division? I hate to inform you President Obama, the GOP is not rooting for the failure of Obamacare … IT ALREADY IS A FAILURE.

Not only do 60% of Americans think the Obamacare implementation is a joke, but the premise and model of Obamacare is a lie and failure. President Barack Obama promised that Obamacare would lower premiums. Barack Onama promised that if you liked your doctor, you could keep your doctor. Obama promised that with Obamacare, if you liked your health care plan, you could keep your health care plan. ALL WERE LIES.  Hmm, 500,000 people lose their health insurance plans in California. Wait there is more bad news, more Americans in 3 states have had their insurance canceled under ObamaCare than have filed an exchange account in all 50 states. I believe that would be deemed a failure. But it gets even worse. The entire point of the Ponzi scheme known as Obamacare is for young, healthy, non-subsidized individuals to pay for the older, sick, poor ones. In order for the model to work at least half, if not more healthy young folks need to sign up in order to redistribute the wealth. The majority cannot be Obamacaid. However, that is not remotely occurring. As reported at Bloomberg, in almost half the states with exchanges, the overwhelming majority of enrollments are coming from Medicaid, not the new insurance markets.

That’s a problem for three reasons. First, signing up for Medicaid is a comparatively simple process, which means that we don’t really know how well things are going on the private side in many of these states. Second, insurance products need a pretty big pool of customers in order to be stable; otherwise, there’s too big a risk that you’ll have a wildly disproportionate number of sick people. Obamacare has risk-adjustment mechanisms to try to mitigate this problem, which I discussed the other day, but they only defray some of the expenses for an insurer that gets too many sick people. Besides, the mechanisms are only temporary; they go away after 2016.

The third reason to worry is our old friend adverse selection. If relatively few people are buying insurance in the private marketplace, those people are likely to be older and sicker than the population that was projected to enroll. That makes it likely that premiums will rise quite a bit next year, scaring off young, healthy people even more.

From The Hill:

President Obama blasted GOP opponents of his healthcare law as hypocrites after Republicans expressed concerns about the rocky rollout of HealthCare.gov.

In his weekly address, Obama suggested that the GOP’s focus on the issue was in bad faith because Republicans have pushed for years to repeal, defund or dismantle ObamaCare.

Republicans “spent the last few years so obsessed with denying … people access to health insurance that they just shut down the government and threatened default over it,” Obama said.

“It’s well past the time for folks to stop rooting for [the law's] failure.”

Obama’s comments come after a tough week for the administration. HealthCare.gov, the online enrollment portal for ObamaCare coverage, remained mired in problems in its fourth week.

The rollout has drawn fire from Republicans and Democrats alike, including former members of the administration.

Sorry, but Obamacare and this Healthcare.gov website has nothing to do with helping people or making health care better. It is all about control. Why else do you think that one has to enroll first providing all their information as opposed to being able to search and review plans and costs anonymously as you can on most every insurance site?

HHS Sec. Sebelius Says President Obama Didn’t Know About Obamacare Website EPIC FAILURES Before Its Rollout

Its either plausible dependability or the most incompetent and over their head CEO of the United States in American history.

In an interview with CNN, HHS Secretary Sebelius said that President Barack Obama did not know about the Obamacare web site. HUH? Is it because they did not tell him, or Obama did not care to ask? How is it possible that Barack Obama did not know what was going on or was provided updates with his signature piece of legislation? Was Obama too busy playing golf or on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard? In Sebelius’ efforts to deflect the blame from Obama, she is making him look like a complete  incompetent, non-leading bystander.

Sebelius actually blamed volume as part of the web sites problem but yet the web site crashed in a beta stress test with only 200 individuals logged on. Yet, these brain surgeons allowed this site to go active on October 1st knowing that it would fail. Only the federal government would do such a thing. If it were a private business, such a launch would have been so damning that it most likely would have caused their demise. But don’t worry America, Obama and Sebelius are fixing the problems with a “tech surge” and more of your tax payer dollars after already having spent between $400 and $600 million. Sebelius actually had the nerve to say that “we didn’t have 5 years” to keep testing. UNREAL. Your government hard at work making excuses.

CNN:

President Barack Obama didn’t know of problems with the Affordable Care Act’s website — despite insurance companies’ complaints and the site’s crashing during a test run — until after its now well-documented abysmal launch, the nation’s health chief told CNN on Tuesday.

In an exclusive interview with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta asked when the President first learned about the considerable issues with the Obamacare website. Sebelius responded that it was in “the first couple of days” after the site went live October 1.

“But not before that?” Gupta followed up.

To which Sebelius replied, “No, sir.”

Sebelius admitted that there is concern in her department and the White House over the technical debacle surrounding the website rollout, saying “no one could be more frustrated than I am and the president.” The site was supposed to make it simple for people to search and sign-up for new health care policies starting on October 1, but instead it’s been clunky and, at times, inoperable.

“We’re not at all satisfied with the workings of the website,” Sebelius said. “We want it to be smooth and easy and let consumers’ compare plans.”

Sorry, its is almost impossible to believe that Barack Obama did not know, as MSNBC even said, they are outright lying. At this point no one can trust anything that comes from their mouths as the stories are getting more and more fishy. Let’s call it willful ignorance.

The American Thinker has more of Barack Obama’s by-standing and the claims that he never had a clue during anything that has gone bad or was embarrassing.

It must give the White House a warm and fuzzy feeling to know that no one in the mainstream press is going to call them out for this blatant lie. Or question how it is that the White House was told repeatedly as far back as March that there were monumental technical problems with the website and no one bothered to tell the boss.

As with all the other instances where Obama claims he was in the dark, this one doesn’t pass the smell test.
