Democrat Rep Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) Says “If you get Sick, America, the Republican Healthcare plan is this: Die quickly.” and Uses Holocaust Comparison
Democrats are in desperation and panic mode as they role out the old tired play book that Republicans want to kill people. Oh, and let’s not forget an obligatory Holocaust comparison. Democrats have lost complete control of the Obamacare message and Obamacare in general. Is it any wonder why the American people are against Obamacare?
Enter Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) who said on the floor of the House of Representative Tuesday night that “If you get sick, America, the Republican healthcare plan is this: Die quickly.”
DIE QUICKLY
As stated by The Weekly Standard, Orlando, FL Representative Grayson will almost certainly be thrown out of office in 2010 after calling the current health-care system an ongoing “Holocaust”.
I thought there were supposed to be rules of conduct on the floor of the House of Representatives? Or is that only reserved for Republicans when they call out “you lie” to the President when, basically the President was lying. Once again, today Democrats voted down a Republican Amendment that would make it mandatory for individuals to prove citizenship.
Requests have been made by Republicans for Grayson to apologize as SC Rep Joe Wilson was asked to. When asked to apologize Grayson defiantly then made the following comment and trivialized the killing of 6 million Jews during the Holocaust with the following, “I would like to apologize,” he said. “I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven’t voted sooner to end this holocaust in America.”

So what’s the Republican Health Care Plan? Any Republicans care to answer?
Is it…
Rush to the Emergency Room and wait for a few hours and get stuck with a massive bill?
Rush to the local Church and ask for prayers and donations and come up short?
Rush to starting up a small business and pull yourself up from your bootstraps and buy expensive insurance and find out you’re not covered?
Rush to the cemetery and find out you can’t afford a funeral?
This guy is a NUT. A sick attempt to put blame on others.
US politics has become seriously f**k up.
just like their president, they have nowhere else to run so they blame the other party. this is an elementary school type government. run and tattle on the other guy for your own screw ups.
hopefully these klanocrats will be on the sideline watching after 2010.
Dolf..this is the kind of person that liberal leeches like you look up to…this is what typlifies liberals and left…where is Nancy Pelosi now?
This is much worse than YOU LIE, which is undoubtedly the truth.
This buffoon is EXACTLY people like Dolf, yoyo, bernie, or any other liberal idiot. This is their hero.
Wow..first the “truthers” now a holocaust claim against the GOP!
He has it backwards, SOCIALIZED medicine is a recipe of “dying quickly.” Ask the elderly in the Netherlands; ask those in Britain and Canada.
I love it though…let these liberal buffoons keep sticking their foot in their mouth….
BTW, Sarah Palin #1 on Amazon and soon to be #1 at Barnes and Nobles for her book and these are pre-orders….
You have to wonder if this man has read the bill at all. I don’t think he understands numbers. The fact is that having insurance doesn’t save your life. You must go to the Doctor. What will happen when it takes months to get an appointment?
#2- Dolf—-well you are 100% correct with that one! Finally, I agree with something you post.
*************************************************
FINALLY….. THE $64,000 WAS ASKED.
RECENTLY ON “ABC-TV” (BETTER KNOWN AS THE “ALL BARRACK CHANNEL”) DURING THE “NETWORK SPECIAL ON HEALTH CARE”…. OBAMA WAS ASKED:
“MR. PRESIDENT WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GIVE UP YOUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM AND JOIN THE NEW ‘UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM’ THAT THE REST OF US WILL BE ON ????”….. (Gee, let me guess what he said)
THERE WAS A STONEY SILENCE AS OBAMA IGNORED THE QUESTION AND CHOSE NOT TO ANSWER IT….
IN ADDITION, A NUMBER OF SENATORS WERE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS…”WE WILL THINK ABOUT IT.”
AND THEY DID. IT WAS ANNOUNCED TODAY ON THE NEWS THAT THE “KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL” WAS WRITTEN INTO THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM INITIATIVE, ENSURING THAT THAT CONGRESS WILL BE 100% EXEMPT ! This should speak volumes to all of us.
SO, THIS GREAT NEW HEALTH CARE PLAN THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND ME… IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR OBAMA, HIS FAMILY OR CONGRESS…?? WE (THE AMERICAN PUBLIC) NEED TO STOP THIS PROPOSED DEBACLE ASAP !!!!… THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG !!!!!
—Taken from email via the internet
looks like he needs some socialized surgery on that extremely large head. the only head i’ve seen that large was on a cabbage.
of course they are using scare tactics on the elderly. they started with the end of life now they want to backslide and blame this on the other party. i wonder how much of my tax money went to pay for that stupid poster and i guess the airline charged the republican taxpayers extra to haul oprah’s large ass to bid for the olympics. damn racists democrats.
scott, you have serious issues.
btw. my grandma got a pacemaker at the age of 91..how does fit with your theorie?
Yes Bernie, I’d be happy to answer your question. But first, it’s really sad that your TV Network News isn’t providing those answers for you, isn’t it.
The Republican plan is to first fix what is broken: Government plans such as Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans and Indian Care. It’s the old adage that if you can’t fulfill your current responsibilities, don’t be looking for more.
Next, Republicans believe that We the People of American (Land of the Free, Home of the Brave) should be able to choose for ourselves whether we purchase health care (and how much) or prefer a fancy cell phone, super nice car and cable TV.
You and I might think it very irresponsible of those who choose the amenities and forgo health care, but we live in a country that allows us to make those choices.
Republicans also believe in responsibility. You are responsible for yourself and your family. I am in return responsible for mine. I should not pay for your health care nor should you pay for mine.
Republicans also believe that we need to tackle tort reform in order to lower the number of tests doctors feel they need to run to protect themselves and lower their malpractice insurance. Until we do that, health care costs will continue to sky rocket.
One more thing: Republicans believe that its wrong to have made a deal with the drug companies where the deal maker (the President of the US) gets millions in free TV Commercials supporting HIS plan in return for agreeing not to come after the drug companies for price decreases.
Republicans recognize that this is not acting in the best interests of the American people but rather getting a kick-back for your only benefit.
#10 – I love this line “I should not pay for your health care nor should you pay for mine.”
Aren’t we currently paying for your health care? Yes we are. Spare us the BS diatribe when you specifically are on the Gov’t dole.
i doubt the republicans would send you to jail over insurance. this is just a money grab by oblama.
This man is a prime example of all that is wrong with our political system. It is disappointing that the people who put him in office are too ignorant to run him out on a rail.
no dolf – you are the one with issues and the one sticking your Eurocrap nose in our business and NOBODY cares what you have to say so who has the serious issues….and if you don’t like it…go pound sand somewhere you liberal POS. YOU are part of the problem of what’s wrong in the world…little snot nosed punks like you.
Big deal your grandma got a pacemaker at 91? That doesn’t do nothing to my so called theory, which is FACT BTW…I posted an article about how the elderly are treated over there in that heap of sh*t you live in….they have basically “death panels for elders, no question about it…..
You act as if a pacemaker means you are in bad health, it doesn’t. My grandmother got one at 93 and my wife grandfather got one a few years ago and both were and are in great health. Pacemakers are NO indication of a person’s health. What a buffoon you are really….you are a CLOWN!
What are my issues punk? That you and other liberal trash look up to Grayson? That this guy comparing the GOP to Hitler or the 9/11 truthers are more wacked in the brain then the birthers. Let’s see what’s more wacked, saying 3K people were killed by their own government or some people claiming one person might not be an American citizen? Hmmmmm….
What other issues? That it’s been proven that socialized medicine does NOT work and kills people more; people dying in the streets, pre mature babies being left to die…hmmmm or that rationing isn’t real?
Get a life loser and go sit in your rainbowed colored room!
@10
Funny how all of a sudden Republicans have the answers.I do recall a landslide election 10 months ago. This is the problem with a 2 party system. All we do is switch from 1 to the other and NEITHER will ever get anything done because they are all bought and paid for.
if the politicians don’t have to take it, neither do i !
Obama murders more Afghan civilians today.
Proving once again that YoYo Muffinhead is a LIAR.
We are NOT on the Gov’t Dole Muffinhead. Health care was compensation promised and later partial denied to my husband and his family for their service to our nation.
Do you call the compensation you receive from your employer “dole”?
#15 LOL, you are a scream!
Really? What country? It sure didn’t happen in the USA where the results were 52% to 48%. Here in America, we don’t call 4 percentage points a “landslide”.
What will be more revealing is the 2010 election when many incumbents in Congress get kicked to the curb. It will be a sign on the wall as to what will happen in 2012 when we take our country back.
Classic “I’m a tough guy on the internet but in real life I am really a little man loser sitting in my mom’s basement with my pud in my hand” rant from #14. Hilarious.
Now short eyes #14 – see if you can wrap your small mind around this: Not one “mainstream” Democratic politician ever gave credence to the truthers. However, many elected GOP politicians are giving support to the bithers. Truthers are morons but they never got party support like the mouth breathing birthers are getting from Republicans.
Here’s all you have to know:
The three most influential people in the Democratic Party: Barack Obama(Harvard Law), Hillary Clinton(Yale Law) and -for the moment- Max Baucus(Stanford Law)/Harry Reid(GW Law).
The three most influential people in the GOP: Rush Limbaugh (uneducated admitted drug addict), Glen Beck (uneducated admitted drug addict and alcoholic) and Orly Taitz (dentist/real estate agent).
First of all, it was 53% to 46%, so get your numbers straight. But more importantly, this guy is amazing. Finally a democrat with some balls, one that isn’t afraid of the right-wing attack machine. Sorry righties, but the truth hurts. You guys have absolutely no health care plan and he’s called you out on it. Stop obstructing and get out of the way. The public wants this so sit down and shut up already.
The only people that don’t want reform are the same people that are constantly being convinced to vote against their own intrests. How stupid do you have to be to get convinced that lower prices and better insurance is a bad thing? Lmao. You guys make no sense whatsoever, I’ll never understand the so-called “right”… Don’t see what’s so “right” about doing everything you can to sabotage yourself and your kids, but more power to you, I guess.
#19 – 68% to 32%. Landslide.
What country are you talking about?
Here in America the President is decided by electoral votes, not popular.
Remember the 2000 election #19?
Jesus Christ, the stupidity of some is staggering.
#1 Repblican plan:
Republicans are promoting common sense reforms that make health care more affordable, reduce the number of uninsured Americans, and increase quality at a price our country can afford, while making sure that Americans who like their health care coverage can keep it.
Making Health Care More Affordable for All Americans:
More Americans will gain access to quality health care once its costs are brought under control. The first step in lowering health care costs is to eliminate the unnecessary overspending in our current system.
The Republican plan implements comprehensive medical liability reform that will reduce costly, defensive medicine practiced by doctors trying to protect themselves from overzealous trial lawyers. Additionally, it provides Medicare
and Medicaid with additional authority and resources to stop waste, fraud, and abuse that costs taxpayers billions of dollars every year.
To lower the costs of health care, the Republican plan increases fairness in the tax code by extending tax savings to those who currently do not have employer-provided coverage but purchase a health plan on their own. This provision would provide an “above the line” deduction that is equal to the cost of an individual’s or family’s insurance premiums. The plan also provides immediate substantial financial assistance, through new refundable and advanceable tax credits, to low- and modest-income Americans so all Americans have access to health coverage.
The plan also recognizes that the cost of health insurance is one of the largest obstacles for many small businesses when it comes to retaining current employees or creating new jobs. The plan allows states, small businesses, associations, and other organizations to band together to offer health insurance at lower costs.
This plan creates incentives to save now for future health care needs by improving health savings accounts and flexible spending arrangements as well as creating new tax benefits to offset the cost of long-term care premiums.
Health Care More Available & Accessible for All Americans:
The Republican plan reduces the number of uninsured Americans by helping Americans keep health care coverage regardless of a change in or loss of a job.
In order to increase accessibility, the plan encourages states to create a Universal Access Program by establishing and/or reforming existing programs to guarantee all Americans, regardless of pre-existing conditions or past illnesses, access to affordable coverage.
The Republican plan strengthens employer-provided health coverage by helping the 10 million uninsured Americans who are eligible, but not enrolled in, an employer-sponsored plan get health care coverage. The plan encourages
employers to use opt-out, rather than opt-in rules and provides small businesses incentives to offer health care coverage to their workers through a new small business tax credit to cover administrative costs.
The Republican plan provides flexibility to Medicaid and SCHIP beneficiaries by allowing them to apply the value of their benefit to a health plan that better meets their needs than the one-size-fits-all government program.

#15- Bernie ! Once again another blogger on this site has to be reminded that not everyone who posts here is a REP! So, please stop attacking the right.
I’m a former Dem, now Indy- and I want nothing to do with Government controlled Health Care Reform.
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE, BERNIE! America is filled with millions of people who think the same of this “reform”–and they are not only Republicans!!!!!!! If it’s not good enough for our Congressmen and women—why should it be good enough for me, my family or even yours?
Answer that one BERNIE?!
Oh look, more Republican solutions:
COMMON-SENSE HEALTH CARE REFORMS OUR NATION CAN AFFORD
“It’s time to start over on a common-sense, bipartisan plan focused on lowering the cost of health care while improving quality. That’s what I heard over the past several months in talking to thousands of my constituents. Replacing your family’s current health care with government-run health care is not the answer. We can do better, with a targeted approach that tackles the biggest problems.”
– Rep. Charles Boustany, Jr. , MD, September 9, 2009
The American people have spoken. They oppose government-run health care. Republicans are on the side of the American people.
What Americans want are common-sense, responsible solutions that address the rising cost of health care and other major problems. In the Republican address following President Obama’s speech to a Joint Session of Congress on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, Dr. Charles Boustany (R-LA) outlined a series of such solutions:
“We do need medical liability reform, and it needs to be real reform. We need to establish tough liability reform standards, encourage speedy resolution of claims, and deter junk lawsuits that drive up the cost of care.”
“Let’s also talk about letting families and businesses buy insurance across state lines. I and many other Republicans believe that will provide real choice and competition to lower the cost of health insurance.”
“All individuals should have access to coverage, regardless of preexisting conditions.”
“Individuals, small businesses and other groups should be able to join together to get health insurance at lower prices, the same way large businesses and labor unions do.”
“We can provide assistance to those who still cannot access a doctor.”
“[I]nsurers should be able to offer incentives for wellness care and prevention – something particularly important to me. I operated on too many people who could have avoided surgery if they’d simply made healthier choices earlier in life.”
#15- Bernie—When are you going to put down that crack pipe?
Stop yammering on and whining about Republicans and WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE?
Once again—stop assuming every person in America who does not agree with you is:
A. A Republican or to the right
B. Wrong!!!
If the proposed Health Care Reform or a Government Controlled Plan is not good enough for our Congressmen or women—why the hell should it be good enough for me and my family? Or you and your family for that matter???
Answer that one, Bernie!!!
P.S. And without proper Tort reform- the cost of healthcare is going to continue to rise and go up anyway! EITHER WAY—It is going to cost MORE- so that’s another lie out of the mouth of Obama!! Ask the Medical experts–they all agree—the cost of health care WILL INCREASE….EVEN MORE SO WITH A FEDERALLY MANDATED PLAN YOU IDIOT!!
You have no solutions, so stop talking out of your ass.
D-
How stupid do you have to be to get convinced that lower prices and better insurance is a REAL thing?
all the BS in the world from the democrat klan is not going to produce a legitimate birth certificate for their messiah. there is not an American birth certificate for obama. it has not been produced as of yet.
explain why he spent a million dollars to hide his identity. yoyo? d? bernie ? give us an intelligent answer to this question. why does he have several social security numbers ? a false passport ?
isn’t this the same alan grayson that was filmed going to what he thought was a 14 year old girl’s home to have sex ? caught on tv undressing in the garage only to meet the cameras as he came inside with his little democratic pecker in hand.
lol@scott
true, only healthy ppl get a pacemaker.
What’s the IQ on this clown, anyway?
I say Go Alan Grayson!

Medicare and Medicaid disproportions have supplemental payments – Cost Shifting!
8 – 12% population has no insurance for hospital care will decrease to only 2% for illegal immigrants there is question about when hospital will have to return subsidies when every on has health care coverage. By law every hospital must see and or stabilize a person by law.
Outpatient and ambulatory surgery is Part B of Medicare – Physician services and outpatient 20% co pays apply.

Medicare advantage plans – private Medicare HMO
Death Bed Care – End of Life Care – Hospice benefit palliative care in lieu of curative care. When one does decide?
Tom Scully works investment in New York and when in Washington, D.C. works for law firm on health care policies.
Medicare Part B
Bruce Vladeck 1993 – 1997 Health Care Finance Agency now CMMS
Medicare Part B is a voluntary program with covers physicians services and a broad range of outpatient services.
Premiums cost beneficiaries $96.40 a month. Premiums that beneficiaries pay themselves finance 25% the rest of the balance comes from a General Federal revenues pays 50% to physicians the rest goes to outpatient hospital, diagnostic testing and treatment, labs, x-rays, DME’s.
Medicare A historical great advocates for Medicare worked on bill from 1950 to 1965 when Democrats passed legislation for hospital and post hospital care.
Medicare B 1965 when republicans knew Medicare A was going to pass worked with the American Medical Association to pay physicians.
Congressman Wilbur Mills a Democrat – Chairman from the Ways and Means committee stapled the bill together do both and it past as Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.
Who determines rates paid to physicians? Congress does, Physicians represented by different specialties and groups set relative prices by different groups, Details and levels of payment determined by congress use formulas for cost to run medical practices and offices geographical regions are built into formulas Malpractices insurances included in formulas New York more expensive than Montana. Changes in practice, procedures and new technology decide Medicare changes in polices is influenced by local level management medical directors and regions of country.
Discussions on greater uniformly in national level takes a long time to make decision making process.
Legal framework enacted Resource Base Relative Value Scale study in the late 1980’s at Harvard
Congress in 1990 wrote into law Resource Base Relative Value Scale should be used.
Committee operates under CMMS makes changes in CPT codes once a year.
National decisions have been reliance on such as medical directors in different regions.
Do physicians lose monies? No lost – but do they make monies depends ratio from m-care vs. private insurances local insurance markets varies dramatically throughout country.
How much money a year is spent on Medicare approximately 460 Billion is spent, 100 – 125 Billion 25% cost program is misleading 25% pay to Medicare Advantage programs 50% eventually goes to physicians.
Mary Agnes Carey – Kaiser Health news – senior correspondence
Considerations in reducing cost is to reduce payments to Medicare Advantage programs, Part B provides Home health agencies, Skill nursing Facilities, Durable medical equipment (DME) providers.
Democrat house bill will increase payment for primary care providers, closing the donut hole in Medicare part D for drugs, wave co pays for preventive services.
Medicare advisory boards report twice a year to congress. Academics,
Hospitals, physicians, DME, SNF concerns how to make health care more efficient
Medicare Part B cost out of pocket expenses $96.40 a month from SSA, Deductible of $135.00 Year this year 2009, 20% co pays, Caps or limits – NONE on Medicare B at present.
Discussion on Caps or limits – On out of pocket expenditures
Medicare part B recipients usually get a supplement, Medicare Advantage or private medigap coverage to fill in the holes Medicare B does not cover.
DME – Purchase vs. rental negotiable savings? Competitive bidding like Veterans Administration Congress has been pressured therefore preventing Changes in policies. Examples: Medicare B pays approximately three times more than VA for oxygen machines, three billion dollars for air. Suppliers lobby congress. One billion cost for beneficiaries, one billion for lobbying, and one billion for profit (lively Hood). CPAP machine cost to purchase $275.00, rental $75.00 per month adds up if used over time (10 years or more).
Take on the sellers of health care negotiate by giving the buyers more power so cost be controlled.
Common Procedure Terminology (CPT) Codes over 10,000 for billing purposes for Medicare Part B HMO were
Reduce care get incentives for not providing services in reality.
Diagnostic Related Groups (DRG’s) Used for Medicare Part A Hospitalizations.
Reforms to Medicare Part B
Go back for Fee for services; revise DME from rental to purchase coordination of care gets involved and incentives for rentals – most patients’ elderly and not informed when leaving hospitals and SNF’s.
The Government uses software Common Procedural Terminology (CPT) which is owned by the American Medical Association (AMA) royalties are paid to the AMA for more modern streamline political deals have been made over the past 20 years to use coding system owned by AMA.
DME fraud – main source has been south Florida mainly in Miami, Florida is only a small portion since Medicare Spends so much money. Need to prevent in first place.
Medicare does not pay for physicals – one physical done on eligibility, does pay for screenings thereafter this is a hold in the system. Medicare pays on in-home care on medical need – Examples – Dressing wounds, assessments, physical therapy and occupation therapy limited benefit after hospitalization.
Active lobbyist – Hospital Association, AMA and any group providing services to Medicare
Payment system set congress pressure from lobbyist
Medpac – advisory board makes recommendations, congress does not always take advice. Discussion to give medpac more clout, they make recommendations not final decisions not having to satisfy constituents.
