No he did not just say that …
America, who do you trust more to do the right thing when it comes to your, your parents, your family and your children’s health care … your doctor or the government? Last night President Barack Obama accused doctors of making health care decisions based on fee reimbursement schedules vs. the patents care. UNREAL!!! Obama made a blanket statement that doctors did not necessarily do What’s best for the patients care.

So how does the health care community feel this morning as the Commander & Chief, the President of the United States basically said that doctors are more concerned with over charging patients and gaming the system than they are providing proper health care to their patients. Hello doctors, hello AMA, he just called you greedy and frauds.
Do some doctors commit fraud, certainly they do. However, to make such a generalization and bad mouth the entire health care community is as irresponsible as it gets.

Obama turns health care focus to families, voters
Six months in office, President Barack Obama sought to rally support for sweeping health care legislation Wednesday night as Congress struggled to find agreement on a historic overhaul. He vowed to reject any measure “primarily funded through taxing middle-class families.”
At a prime-time news conference, Obama defended his decision to set a midsummer deadline for the House and Senate to act, even if it isn’t met. “I’m rushed because I get letters every day from families that are being clobbered by health care costs, and they ask me can you help,” he said.
The stakes are huge not just for everyday Americans, but also for Obama, who is putting much of his credibility on the line to gain congressional passage. His stepped-up public role comes as he faces rising criticism from Republicans, sliding public approval ratings and divisions within his party. Obama acknowledged that many people are uneasy about growing federal budget deficits and the fast-rising government debt.

I love how he “speaks” on behalf of all doctors. I can tell right now my doctor is not in it for profit but rather patient care. My family, my wife’s family have been going to this guy for generations. He absolutely LOVES his patients, takes the time to talk to you about things outside of what’s bothering you (life in general) and his patients love him too!
It will be sad when he has to close.

I am happy with my doctor and her practice and I have no desire to find a new doctor. I think it should be up to the patient to decide what doctor to see. When I need to see a doctor, I don’t want to wait months for an appointment. If I or my family need to have surgery, I don’t want to wait months or get approval from the government about my medical treatment. I don’t want the government deciding whether or not I should receive medical care.
We have entirely too many illegals in this country that don’t pay taxes, that don’t pay for medical expenses, that don’t pay for child care, that don’t pay for their education. It’s not free, somebody has to pay for it. That somebody is us taxpayers. When hospitals & doctors have to treat those without insurance then the cost is passed onto the insured. That is why the cost is so high now for medical care & treatment but instead of fixing the problem, the government makes the problem even worse.
So, you’re trying to say that there aren’t any doctors that got into it for the sake of making money? That’s pretty much the biggest aspect of being a doctor, making lots of money. I mean, whenever a woman gets excited about meeting a doctor, it’s not because he can cut her open and perform surgery, it’s because of his paycheck.
Oh and Scott, that “He’s a joke.” line… That’s the point. He’s a comedian! I guess I shouldn’t expect much from a neo-con that would defend the idiots that refuse to believe the fact that Obama was born in Hawaii.

If you’ve ever had an insurance company doctor decide that you weren’t as sick as your own doctor says you are, that you didn’t need the treatment your own doctor recommends, you should know that putting this in the hands of the government is even worse. What about current public health care? Around here, it’s Cook County Hospital and Chicago Board of Health Clinics. Now I hear that if you’ve been shot or stabbed, the absolute BEST place to go is Cook County Hospital–they know how to save you there. Beyond that, the public system sucks. Medicare/caid is a system that provides inadequate coverage and leaks taxpayer money through fraud. Clean up both and put the money into a workable system instead of throwing more money out there and letting someone other than our own doctors and us make decisions.

D’oh Bummer’s healthcare initiative is DOA. Awesome, that’s a huge win for fiscal sanity, but we need to be vigilant. This Marxist will never stop trying to dismantle this country before our very eyes.

In the interest of reducing medical costs,
I believe a certain Dr. Jesse Jackson would willingly
perform a ‘pro bono’ specific type of excision
on Obowma if the opportunity arose. Some consider
Dr. Jackson to be a nut job in the flesh. On the other
hand, this type of surgery might relax the urgency
factor of Barry’s approach to overwhelming our System
with Specious Legislation and Confiscatory Taxation.
