Casey Anthony case: Why does Jose Baez hire wrongful death Attorney?

This is no accident. Pun intended. Among other specialties, Mr. Macaluso is the leading industry attorney in high profile accident reconstruction. Blogs were blazing at this announcement through the evening, as was my email. Further research and case study sheds some light on the possible needs of the Baez Law Firm for Mr. Macaluso’s legal prowess.

Blink 34–awesome post on blinkcrime amazing at the twists and turns of this case. Question:
IF and I say this loosley-it ‘was an accident’ WHY the clorophorm?smell in casey’s car?
Also were it an accident–WHY THE DUCT TAPE overr this precious child’s skull? Any thots?
btw–hi peps–hope ya’ll have had a productive day–we will all ‘rest better’ once monster mom is tried, convicted and sentenced. forgive spelling:):):) no spell check here :) :) George does indeed appear fraigle and very depressed–his photo seems to have him in a ‘trance’ of sorts cindy looks pretty haggard as well–OS mentioned the suicide note from George MAY BE MADE PUBLIC-but would ‘prove embarassing for the family’ really? can anyone say ‘death of grandchild at hands of monstermom embarrassing.
      Have a good one–

      An Accident Reenactment Attorney?

      WTF?

      Yeah, Your Honor, it was an accident;
I put tape over her mouth…
      in case she screamed!

      I’m sorry, Your Honor,
      you just don’t understand…
      The kiss was from me!

      And Zanny?
That was all just a pack of lies I told
because I felt guilty about something
      I didn’t do!

It was all just a joke…
Lee thought it was funny! 8)

      .

      Faith: :)

An embarrassment is what you are when you’ve done
something wrong. All of us could have compassion
for them, and we do. But, they’re not the only
people in the world who’s child commits a crime.
Embarrassing is the way they acted when the first
batch of evidence came in… and they think the
Police conspired against them? Laugh out loud!

      *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Hey, Florida~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Behold the family that has conspired

against you… in every way possible.

      They’ve hit the JaCkPoT!

      .

      Caylee Deserves Justice!

      ;)

      Nite…

I’ll check out Blink in the morning. My family’s been here all day. I’m exhausted. Can you believe this crap? An ‘Accident Reconstruction’ Attorney… what’s next? ‘The Nanny with the Xanex Made Me Do It’ Attorney or the ‘Too Many Twinkies with my Coffee’ Theory Specialists?

      What a joke!

And George and Cindy sit in the courtroom in ‘Suspense’!

      As the Stomach Turns…

    4. Carpe on March 4th, 2009 12:26 am

Isn’t it funny how OCSD would test for Lee’s DNA
to rule out fatherhood of Caylee, publish
the results, but stop just short of ruling
      out George Anthony?

Do you think Jo-Jo liked to bone anything in
the house with a CMA on it?

    5. noonie on March 4th, 2009 2:39 am

let’s find Caylee’s REAL FATHER! What?

    6. Gigi on March 4th, 2009 9:24 am

Carpe: I agree with you! I have thought all along that George is Caylee’s father. In fact, in initial reports, George was stated as Casey’s step-father. Does anyone else remember that???

      Morning Peeps
Am in a huge rush but wanted to ‘see’ how the Peeps are:):):)
YES Gigi I DO remember the ‘step-dad statement’ and that has also been in the back of my head but who knows? Notice how ideas surface, some rattling of the sabers then nothing further? What’s up with that?
Peeps–I just viewed all 107 of the photos of monstermom which will be released we are RIGHT on target Our Sunshine Caylee IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE wow guys the photos show monstermom enjoying the attention of two females and an assortment of men there are about maybe 6 photos of Caylee–poor lil tyke she didn’t stand a chance–one of her, shirt off with food all over her mouth standing in front of sink trying to ‘clean up’ no joy in those little eyes–(perhaps this was just a few days or hours before monstermom took over.)SO glad Caylee is out of harms way.The people with monstermom look really shady (NOT JUDGING just sayin)Wonder if ANY of these persons COULD be involved in some way?ya never know and since the photos ARE released maybe the cops will ‘pick up’ on that idea and ask MANY questions.
Last thot–there are a few photos of Caylee (out of 107) where RED HEARTS are placed on photo–
Now lets address the ‘accidential’ phase–Accident–YOU BET IT WAS—–NOT —-finding the remains plus duct tape, garbage bags, laundry bags, and red hearts now that was an ‘accident’–
It’s really a good thing lynching is against the law for the rage we all feel at this monstermom, monstergranny and the rest of the sicko people (can’t really call them a family as that’s an insult to the families Nationwide.)
      Gotta run–deadlines to reach–
Ya’ll have a great one and Blink keep up this good reporting/investigating
      Catch ya later

#7: thanks so much for acknowledging what i, too, remember! i was beginning to think i was the only person who heard that reference. i, too, viewed the pics and noticed that a red heart was on some of the pics of caylee……hmmmm, just like on the duct tape. blink is doing a great job but i hope her scenario turns out to be incorrect. i feel so bad for caylee and i only hope and pray justice will be served.

    9. brie. on March 4th, 2009 5:31 pm

Big secret about who Caylee’s father is….and why did Cindy want Caylee to call her mom….??

Casey only answered 2 questions concerning the civil suit with Zenaida, so that was pretty much worthless….she pursued the 5th amendment…

What is Casey going to pull off now with the new attorney, I lied before but this time I am telling the truth…taking a wrongful death route…

I wonder what the prosecution thinks about this…!!!

Casey Anthony case: Will George’s suicide note be released?

posted by halboedeker on Mar 3, 2009 6:30:42 PM
Is George Anthony’s suicide note a public record?

Bob Kealing of WESH-Channel 2 laid out the legal fight Tuesday night. The state says yes and that the Anthonys will have to explain to a judge why the note shouldn’t be released.

The attorney for George Anthony says no and that the note has nothing to do with the Casey Anthony murder case. Casey, George’s daughter, is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee.

“There is nothing in the note that would indicate that Casey has done anything wrong,” Brad Conway, George’s attorney, told WESH. “This is all personal information that was directed at Caylee, Lee, Cindy and Casey.”

      In other developments:

*WKMG-Channel 6 got the list of questions that Zenaida Gonzalez’s lawyers had for Casey Anthony in a defamation suit against the mother of Caylee. There were about 30 questions in all, but Anthony invoked her Fifth Amendment right and didn’t answer any except her name, Louis Bolden explained. Her attorney in the civil suit said he wouldn’t allow her to answer because the answers might affect her criminal case, Bolden added. The last questions were: Do you know who killed Caylee? Were you involved in the death of Caylee?

*WESH reported that bounty hunter Leonard Padilla will testify in the defamation suit on March 24.

*WOFL-Channel 35 talked to the author of “Mommy’s Little Girl,” a book about slain toddler Caylee. What about criticism that writer Diane Fanning is trying to profit off the case? Fanning said she was doing her job as a journalist and trying to share lessons that could help save other children. The book should be out this fall.

Casey Anthony case: “We’re going to prove her innocence”
posted by halboedeker on Mar 3, 2009 10:28:18 AM

“When trial comes, you’re all going to hear the story and we’re going to prove her innocence.”

The speaker was Casey Anthony’s attorney Todd Macaluso. He was seen briefly speaking in a report on Tuesday’s “Today” on NBC.

We probably won’t hear that story until at least October, the tentative start date for Anthony’s murder trial. She is accused of the first-degree murder of daughter Caylee.

And what about the secret jail taping of Casey’s reaction to news that remains had been found? Anthony attorney Jose Baez has 15 days to decide whether he will continue to fight the tape’s release.

In a “Today” interview, former prosecutor Jeanine Pirro said, “There’s no expectation of privacy in a jail Period. End of the story.”

The defense attorneys want to keep the tape out because they see something damning in it, Pirro speculated. “They don’t want the jury to see that,” Pirro said.

“Judge Jeanine Pirro” airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on WKCF-Channel 18.

Ann Curry conducted the Pirro interview. “It was poignant that for the first time, I think, since October Casey was able to see her parents in the courtroom” at a Monday hearing, Curry said.

      Do you agree?

“I think the family is trying to come together with her,” Pirro said. But Pirro also speculated that George and Cindy Anthony want immunity because they “have some damning things to say.”

    12. brie. on March 4th, 2009 7:36 pm

I think George, Cindy and Lee can all say some damning things about Casey….if Blink is correct this whole case could backfire on Casey’s family…

If you have a story to tell that proves your innocent why would you want to sit in jail…makes no sense…Cindy has also said the same thing, you will see she is innocent at the trial…maybe it’s just being said to intimidate….

Wonder what Padilla will have to say…..

      _____________________________________
SM: According to Rick (Cindy Anthony’s brother) George is the biological father of Casey and Lee. (klaasend)

    19. Dymndz98 on March 9th, 2009 11:35 pm

Accident or not…in the state of Florida, if a person did something potentially harmful to a child (under the age of 12), that resulted in death, then it’s a felony murder…period. So if Casey sedated Caylee with chloroform or any other substance(even cough medicine)to keep her quiet, though she didn’t intend to kill her, and she died, it’s murder, not an accident. At least that’s the way I understand it.

    20. Dymndz98 on March 9th, 2009 11:47 pm

If this were truly an accident…say,Caylee fell in the pool while Casey was in the house and not watching her, and she drowned (one explanation for the chloroform…a byproduct of chlorinated water when mixed with other chemicals), why would she have gone to such great lengths to cover it up instead of just calling 911 immediately? Accidents like that happen more often than not, unfortunately. It would still have been a terrible fate for Caylee and heartwrenching for the Anthony family, but no one would have accused Casey of murdering her, I’m sure, and this story would have ended months ago. As a matter of fact, there wouldn’t have been a story at all.

    21. Dymndz98 on March 10th, 2009 12:12 am

What 22 year old would put themselves and her family through all this turmoil if this was an accident and choose to sit in jail? And if Baez knew early on in the investigation what happened and knew of the whereabouts of Caylee, and didn’t divulge that information to LE, could he be charged with obstruction of justice? Just curious. A long time ago he stated that we will find out the truth at trial and then we would understand. The public will never understand, even if initially, it was an accidental death, of sorts. If he knew what really happened, then he had a moral obligation to tell, for Caylee’s sake and for the sakes of everyone involved in this mess. I don’t care if he is a defense attorney. What makes him think Casey has been telling him the whole truth and nothing but the truth? I truly believe his little scheme of grandstanding is going to backfire on him.

    22. BonBon on March 10th, 2009 9:26 am

These so called high profile experts from out of state need to stay out of this Florida’s murder case! This new defense attorney Todd Macaluso who joined Baez team recently had no business sticking his nose into this Florida case because was not well knowledgeable about this case since day 1 last year. Why doesn’t he tend to his California cases instead!

    23. Killer K on April 10th, 2009 7:06 am

I too remember the early reports of George being called the stepfather….or stepgrandfather when Caylee was referred to….so if he’s not her real father, than who is? And if he is her real father, then why all the reports calling him her stepfather? I seen it numerous times…how hard can it be to find out? I’ve asked many reporters on this case, yet no one seems to be able to find out? I mean I don’t live in Florida, but couldn’t it be found on certain documents that someone could get as a matter of public record?? I’m sure it’s either listed or not listed on let’s say, Cindy and George’s marriage license…or on Casey or Lee’s birth certificate? What is up with that??
