Think Presidents Approval Ratings are Low … Check Out Congress … Approval Falls to Single Digits
The MSM likes to emphasize the fact that President George W. Bush has extremely low approval ratings. However, compared the single digit Congressional approval ratings they look like a walk in the park. 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. 9%!!! That coming from the Democratic controlled House and Senate. This poll also proves that 9% of the polling community has politicians as family.
The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.
Voters not affiliated with either party are the most critical of Congressional performance. Just 3% of those voters give Congress positive ratings, down from 6% last month.
As Congress sits by and does nothing to help the immediate needs of “We the People,”with the high price of gas is it any wonder why Americans are fed up with them all. By the time they do act, its to late.
I have a suggestion to rid ourselves all all these lazy and complacent do nothing politicians …. TERM LIMITS!!! If a President has them, so should Congress.

The 9% came from Bear Stearnes. I rate them at -10%!
Congress on both sides care about getting Richer and getting re-elected. We need term limits ,because it’s impossible to go up against the Congress machine and money. God help our country from our Congress bought by PAC’s.
now all we need is a democrat in the white house and we can get right on down to 4 or 5% rate for the entire federal government. i can hardly wait.
maybe pelosi, reid, and obama can visit iran, pakistan, india, china, and russia together the first week obama’s in office and get this over with quickly.
Let’s update a verse from John Gay’s “The Beggar’s Opera,” itself an indictment of another corrupt government (18th century England):
“When you censure the age,
Be cautious and sage,
Lest the Congress offended should be.
If you mention vice or bribe,
‘Tis so pat to all the tribe,
Each cries, ‘That was leveled at me!’”
9% for Congress, 13% for the President. Lovely.
Over half the seats in the Senate and all the House seats are up for grabs in November.
You want term limits – vote ‘em out. Simple as that.
We keep electing the same partisan hacks and insist that they pander to us…even though we know they often don’t really mean what they promise. Of course, We voters never have to accept responsibility for the consequences of our choices, do We?
Geez, I didn’t know simple minded TROLLS could count let alone be allowed to vote.
I’m sorry you cannot vote then “dave”.
It’s a shame that your simple mind, coupled most likely with various felonies, has prevented you from voting.
But thanks for letting us know your plight “dave”.
I apologize “dave”. That was very puerile of me and again I sank to your level.
[...] Pelosi calls President George W. Bush a total failure. Speaker Pelosi, one who lives in a glass “House” with low approval ratings should not be throwing stones. One might actually say the same about the Democratically controlled [...]
i love my country, i hate our leaders. people are going to start ‘losing’ it and who are they going to blame? the poor , the police, teachers ,parents? but they will never look in the mirror , just point that finger in someones face , as long as its not yours. GOD bless our troops
