personally, i don’t care whether wright was black, white, red, or martian. when he made the comments he did about natalee holloway, he cooked his little fat ass with me forever. and until i hear obama specifically speak to the subject of wright’s vile lies about natalee, his butt is cooked also. there was absolutely no reason for those lies to have ever been thought of, much less voiced in public.

I don’t know if Obama will politically survive this fiasco by Rev. Wright. I hope Wright takes Dana’s advice. But it brings to the public forum the question of Obama’s beliefs, opinions and how he will lead the country.
As I posted yesterday in response to an article on this topic: Is there so much hate and anger in the black communities in the U.S. that they can’t give their children “white” names? Is there already such a divide that as society has made progress in blurring racial lines, blacks cannot, will not, tolerate interracial dating and marriage? It wasn’t so long ago that whites were intolerant. Is it true that now many blacks don’t want to work or live or socialize with whites?
Someone from the Rev’s church said he is a freedom fighter. Where’s the fight? What’s he doing to improve anything for anyone except himself. He preaches hate and anger, he criticizes without offering solutions. He takes the money.
I think Obama needs to address how blacks feel about society and what he can do to bridge that gap. Obama has been big on ideology but weak on specifics of how he’ll accomplish anything. Can he cut tax loopholes on big business AND bring jobs back to America? He says he will, but how? Will he increase public aid programs or job training programs, or both? What will he do to bridge the gap, not between the Wrights and Whites, but between the average African American and their white counterparts? We have a lot of problems to solve and like the Reverend, he’s not offering solutions just his beliefs and opinions. Rev. Wright now has us questioning Obama’s stated beliefs and opinions.
As Dana says in his commentary, it’s Rev. Wright and friends that have brought race into this process in a big way. It’s up to Obama to address the divide that exists, not just Wright’s words.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT THESE SO CALLED AFRICAN AMERICANS COULD NOT SURVIVE ONE DAY IN AFRICA. A MAJORITY OF THEM DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO LOCATE AFRICA ON THE MAP.
