Assistant U.S. attorney John D.R. Atchison who was accused of traveling to 
Detroit, MI to have sex with a 5 year old has committed suicide in federal prison. It appears that Atchison has done the tax payer a favor and cut to the chase. There will be no need for a trial as this sex case ends in a suicide. He had earlier requested to be taken off suicide watch. A rather interesting call by the judge.
Assistant U.S. attorney John D.R. Atchison was found unresponsive and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Federal Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Felicia Ponce said.
Atchison, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., had been held in a special housing unit in the prison at Milan, about 36 miles southwest of Detroit. Atchison had a cell to himself, Ponce said.
An investigation into his death was under way, she said.
Atchison had been charged with three felonies, the most serious of which was crossing state lines with intent to have sex with someone under 12. A conviction had carried a minimum of 30 years in prison. He was arrested Sept. 16. (Kansas City Star)
Prosecutor in Sex Sting Kills Self
Atchison had attempted to hang himself with a bedsheet last month in a Sanilac county jail, but another inmate alerted guards who stopped the suicide attempt. He later was taken by U.S. Marshals to the Milan prison.
Three days before that suicide attempt, Atchison had assured a judge he would not harm himself.
Good riddance to bad rubbage as Atchison’s Myspace page said he enjoyed spoiling young girls.
Under the user name fldaddy04, name John and caption “Experienced, understanding Daddy,” Atchison allegedly described himself in his MySpace profile as: “Handsome, educated, professional, experienced Daddy. I love younger girls. Like everything about you…how you think, talk, act. I’m very understanding and supportive…never ever judgmental.”
The profile goes on to say that he would like to “pamper, spoil, change and take care of” girls.

And as I said, without bringing politics into it, very scared monkey, that we MUST be aware that these predators pose as authority figures of all types, political, religious, scouts and teachers, etc. and we must let our children know this and not hide it.
When one is popped, we can’t say, “How dare you bring politics into this”. It is much more responsible to say “the s.o.b. who posed as one of our party was flushed out and we can proceed to prosecute him”. SM, that would be a better reply than calling someone a horse’s ass for daring to mention his political affiliation. I dare because I care to let the world know that they hide under all covers and our job is to uncover it and flush them out.
Oh well, I guess Bill O’Reilley will now never report this one(as I said before, I respect and appreciate Bill and his efforts but he should have seen his obligation to report this one, if he didn’t).

I almost forgot to say, whayever he did, he did save us a ton of money. The other prisoners may have put him out of his misery if he didn’t.

I agree, completely. When an officer of the law,
fully competent and aware of the consequences,
makes the choice to cross the line, the result is
not only a crime, but corruption, as well.
My guess is that he didn’t want to go through the
embarrassment of being held responsible. But,
this, just like any other official that commits
suicide, will always be looked upon with skeptism
and suspicion.
How much of what he knew, died with him?

It doesn’t matter what color, religious orientation or political affiliation … they are all dangers to children and need to be kept from the most innocent at all cost.

Another federal prosecutor interested in child sex.
As I said before, when I interviewed Noreen Gosch this summer, she said she had seen evidence that kidnap-to-order gangs were grabbing kids, her son among them, and bringing them to pedophiles.
She also said that there was reason to believe that high-level federal officials and wealthy people were knowing participants.
At the time, I just found it too unimaginable and horrible to believe.

Whoever is attacking Bill O’R is way off base!!! Bill’s first committment in public life, as far as I am aware, is to abused children!! He will go after Legislators, Judges, anyone who gets in the way of the prosecution and punishment of pedifiles. He has taken his crew “on the road”, literally, to embarass, chide, coerce, force these reluctant officials to inforce the law, perform their duty, protect our children.
Many have criticized Bill for his lack of getting involved in Natalee’s case. Bill tries to be very fair and balanced on his show and he has had Beth on, albeit intermittently. Well, he is really not up on the case, he made a big fauz pas when he tried, as I see it, he doesn’t want to be a Jack of All Trades. He’s a specialist, and his specialty at the present time, is child abuse, Jessica’s Law and all the legislation surrounding it.
Other than that his talk shows center around politics, a topic in which he is extremely knowledgeable and balanced!!!
Just because he was dragged into a show by Geraldo, in a topic that was “so called” breaking news” and misstated information about Natalee, some here have decided to continually bash him and I find it extremely childish and ignorant!!!
